I came in at 1 for a full synthetic oil change, asked if the clerk, Hunter thought it would be about 2 hours, he said "ah I doubt it will be that long" in a condescending tone. I get home and 2 hours pass then 3 then 4 and finally a get a call that it's ready to pick up. Upon arrival Hunter is very rude and cold once again, not providing any information. I ask if the papers which he'd left on my side of the counter were for me and he laughed loudly, continuing as I left and scornfully telling me to "take care" while laughing. My first interaction with this Firestone was trying to get a brand new landscaping tire balanced. I dropped it off at 8am one day was. It shouldn't take too long they said. I said by lunchtime? No problem was the answer. Stupid me didn't call ahead but I went by around 12:30. Tire in same spot I left it. Checked in it was not touched. They said guys were at lunch and told they would,get on it when they return. I said two? They said no problem. I showed up at four tire not moved. I waited until right before they closed before they balanced the tire. For those who don't know when a tire is off the car to balance ONLY takes 5 minutes. I waited all day. I normally go to the small auto shops in my hometown but they are always booked, so I decided to come to one of the bigger companies. When I called on Wednesday the gentleman working was extremely nice and helpful. He was able to get me an appointment the next day in the morning. Once I arrived Ben helped me and was also really nice. The vibes are definitely different from a traditional auto shop. Ben was very genuine and he even broke down the process to me on what happens with an alignment. I thought I needed an alignment but turns out I don't. So instead of charging me for unnecessary work he told me it would be best if I left it alone and rotated my tires with every oil change. So instead of paying $100 for an alignment I only paid $25. I will definitely be coming here for my future auto repair needs. read more

Went in for a full synthetic oil change. It came out to around $100. Cost more than going to, say, Walmart, but it took about 45 minutes, was done correctly, and they put the correct return mileage on the sticker that goes on your windshield. Walmart will want you to change your full synthetic oil every 3000 miles, Firestone knows it's every 7000 miles. 3 stars because they allowed a person to cut me in line. read more

I scheduled an appointment to have 4 new tires installed and my brakes checked to be replaced if necessary, dropped my car off. I agreed to allow them to have the car until the next day. I receive a call the next day with $1,100 of repairs not related to my tires or brakes. I declined the additional repairs and asked if my car would be finished at the end of the day as agreed upon and was told "my tech" was not in and would get to it when he returned. I cancelled my service and picked up my car. Never again Firestone! read more

Ben, Rene and the team in Bastrop are second to none. I recently had my car in there for a complex issue (turned out to be a seized Hyundai motor). While swamped and understaffed, they worked on my car until finding the problem. Once identified, it had to be towed to the dealership for warranty coverage. When I went to pony up for payment, "we didn't do anything". I cannot say enough and will not stop speaking of the small-town feel you get from this shop. YES, they are backed up (needs technicians), so same-day turn arounds are tough. But if you're patient, you won't be disappointed. Thanks Ben, Rene and the rest of your team. ZERO STARS!!!!!!!! Dropped a tire off that had a puncture in the side wall (under warranty) for replacement. They said it would be done same day when we spoke on the phone. By the time we drove to their location (30 minutes away) they said we would have to drop off and pick up next morning. It has been over a week and it is still not done. They did not even have to mount it to a vehicle. Just take the tire off the rim and put a new one on. We have called several times and cannot get an answer on why it is not done. After calling again today, now they do not know what we are talking about. I guess no one checked us in the system????? Where is my rim?????? Do not go to Firestone in Bastrop!!!!!! read more

After having my car lose total drivability I drove to the nearest car care place (Mopac & Lamar) where break check "took" me for a financial ride of $2000!!! - the that manager said he would put the new turn signal on I had previously ordered from Volvo (because I broke it off)- so the next week I made and appointment for it ...ONLY for the break check manager say it was too detailed of a job to do (even tho he said he would do it for free) then took it to FIRESTONE IN BASTROP near my moms house - and priced the job break check just charged me $2000 for: it would have been $1500!!!!! I decided I no longer wanted to drive into Austin to the dealership so I began a search for a local mechanic. Firestone won. I took the car in and they did a bumper to bumper analysis of the car. They thoroughly went over recommended services, answering all questions. I have subsequently been back to Firestone to replace battery and air filters. We were passing through Bastrop Texas and had a low tire on our RV. We stopped at the fire stone car care Center and Ben assisted us by carrying a hose outside to our RV. He Put air in the tire and checked all other tires to make sure we were safe out on the road. We tried to pay for the service but he wouldn't let us. Thank you Ben ! Came in on a Monday for new tires for my Jeep Rubicon, was advised they could be ordered and delivered by Tuesday (next day) and install scheduled for Wednesday. I called multiple times on Tuesday and Wednesday, as the tires were delayed and they were not updating me, and I had already taken the day off work. Tires finally delivered late Wednesday afternoon and installed on my Jeep. Unfortunately my low air tire light continues to come on, after multiple trips to their store, they just cannot seem to fix it. I'm very frustrated with their lack of communication (one of their employees drove to my house on Wednesday to let me know my tires came in, as they had the wrong phone number for me-even after me calling their store 3-4 times asking for an update). I'm really regretting my decision to get tires here, and should have paid more attention to their reviews. read more

I have been back a couple more times and have always had excellent service. My time is important. I called to find out cost and time to evacuate and re charge my ac.. Just put a new compressor on. Got the price but would not give me how long it would take...depends on how busy they were. OK, fair enough. Stopped in to check it out this morning(just before 9am) they said it would be 45 min to an hour and I should be out of here in a couple hours. I made the decision to wait. It's now 11am and they have not touched my truck! I understand it could take awhile, that's why I asked how long. If its going to take 3-4 hours...LET ME KNOW!!... So I can make the decision in whether or not I want to spend my day there or try another day. Not happy with the way they choose to do business. I have been here before to check on tires and they were the most expensive of the 3 places I checked... Discount being the cheapest. Anyways. They charged me $172 to evacuate and recharge the ac then said the system needed to be flushed and my ac didn't work. Then why give you $172??!! BUT for ANOTHER $525 we can fix it!!! Not sure I would ever have a reason to ever come back to this business. Use at your own risk. The sign on the door on the way out said "We appreaciated your business" I didn't feel it!! Just a follow up. I did find an HONSEST mechanic (Jays tire in Elgin) and got my ac going for a couple hundred dollars!! read more

I dropped my car off for an inspection at 11 am on a weekday. Called at 2:30 pm to see if it was ready and was told it wouldn't be ready till 6pm. There was no hint that it would take 7 hours when I dropped it off and no call to let me know that it was going to take 7 HOURS. These people are horrible!! I paid 125 for an alignment on my truck and they gave it back to me with the steering wheel 90 degrees to the left! Some hillbilly tried to tell me "thats just how it aligns". I made them lift it up and show me the steering. It was clear that the tie rod ends were not adjusted evenly, not even close!! I complained the the manager and he told me that his people were the best and I was an "F***ing idiot". They stole my $120. I drove it across the street to the private shop and they straightened it out for me for $35 bucks. If all four wheels fell off my truck and I had to drag it an extra 100 miles to go somewhere else for new ones, i would. Avoid this place these people are crooks. read more

I took my charger in for a alignment and front struts replaced June of 2017 took it back two months later for a shimmy and the car pulling to the right, the owner Bryan had it for three hours to find nothing wrong with it when I told him that the car also pulled to the right when he told me that it only drifted to right. June of this 2018 I had to take it to the dodge dealer in Kingman Az because of noise coming out of my rear end and did a multipoint inspection to find that the right strut had blown and told me that it was blown for quite a while and that because of the bad strut on the right, the writer at dodge told me that they had to replace the tension bar and lower control bar on the right due to a defected strut that I told Bryan back in August of 2017 that there was something wrong with it. I recommend you don't go to this mans business he doesn't like to honor his warranty work. read more

My initial experience with this company was poor to say the least, with that I left a strong review advising others to stay clear. I was contacted by the owner today personally who talked through both sides of the situation and apologized for the actions of his employees.
