Cajun Ni Kuya is a Filipino Cajun restaurant in Northridge. One half of the space is devoted to a…read morefood case where you can pick up several Filipino dishes to eat at the restaurant or to take home. That side is named Kusina Ni Kuya and has a vast catering menu. I came here for a carry out from the Cajun side and picked as I did before, the half pound shrimp. The only difference is this time, I opted for the peeled version. This was prepared in the house Kuya sauce, medium spicy, with an extra of boiled okra. The dish did not disappoint and was consistent in texture and flavor, and a glorious mixture of spices as before. This entrée has a lot of oil added to it, but that is what brings out this burst of taste and satisfaction. Everything was soaked with the thick sauce. This time what I did at home was, I boiled a few golden premium small potatoes with skin, sliced them into quarters and added it to the mix. Once it soaked up the gravy of the shrimp dish, the potatoes ascended to a totally different level. So how does the peeled version compare to the whole shrimp version? I would say that the whole shrimp selection is the way to go. The meat is not overcooked and you get the flavor off the shrimp shells too, that kicks it up more than a notch. In addition, the fact that you have to use your fingers to get to the shrimp meat (though messy), heightens the pleasure of the dining experience.

He said it was fresh, but you could tell just about to look at it. It wasn't fresh chicken so they came back. Got the order right in ordered the chicken breast and the wing. It came out tasting worse. It was awful. The beans and rice had no flavor the corn muffins like somebody put sand in the mix. I'm so disappointed I will never ever go back there again in my life. One good point the young man was working there he was pleasurable very manageable But wasn't enough to prevent me from writing this article about the food absolutely terrible, terrible terrible

The restaurant is tucked in a small convenience strip on the corner of Devonshire and Woodley. Parking is limited but there is lots of street parking. The convenience store let me park in the front. You'll meet Sylvia when you walk in. Sylvia made me feel as if I was there last week. The restaurant is well lit and has good ambiance. The bathroom was very clean. I chose crab cake as my appetizer. I would have loved two crab cakes, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I went to CF Food for their Beef Wellington, and I was not disappointed. The pastry was golden and crispy, with a gentle firmness at the base to bed the Beef. The Beef Wellington was perfect!! It was tender, cut through like butter and was perfectly seasoned, which awakened your palate. I don't know why I ordered medium. I should have ordered medium rare. Note to self. The pommes puree was firm yet smooth. I couldn't get enough of it. I think I licked my fork I was driving so one glass of Cabernet would do. I ended this spectacular meal with a slice of cheesecake. As you can see by my empty plates, I enjoyed my dinner. I noticed several couples on a date, and friends who fought over the check. If you're looking for a new restaurant to visit. I highly recommend CF Food Kitchen. By the way, Sylvia also said the Alligator was amazing. Guess I'll be back.

The ambiance is lively and full of energy--so many people enjoying their meals, laughing, and sharing moments with their loved ones. It honestly makes the whole experience even better. I usually order to-go because I'm a messy eater when it comes to seafood boils , but even then, the quality never disappoints. And let's talk about the prices--no one beats them. In my opinion, I actually prefer their crawfish flavor over Drunken Crab or Boiling Crab... but hey, that's just me . Either way, this spot is absolutely worth it every time.

Our family of 4 usually orders the family meal with 2 lbs of shrimp, 1 lb of mussels, Cajun fries, and the spicy Boss sauce -- always so good! However, over the last year or so with the new ownership, I've noticed they've been giving less sauce, and now I usually have to buy an extra side with my order. There was also an employee who told me he wouldn't serve me unless I took my water bottle back to the car, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. My family and I truly enjoy coming here, so I hope they continue the great quality and customer service we used to receive with the previous owners. Please don't skimp on the sauce -- it's what makes this place so special!

The breading was really mushy and the fish was too and to make it worse it was 70% breading and 30% fish. Super gross. Do yourself a favor and just suck it up and get the shrimp or something. Also, what's up with the Coke Zero machine lol. They got a bad batch of syrup but management won't change it. Service was good though! Staff was friendly and the place was kept up pretty good.

We started off with some oysters which are $2.50 each and wow, they were huge and fresh! So delicious, they weren't stingy with the limes either. We also got the shrimp lovers combo, which is a pound of shrimp, clams and mussels + 2 corn, 4 potatoes and 8 sausage. So yummy and totally worth the price! It was rough for two people to share on my opinion. They also give you little fried Oreo with ice cream at the end of your meal. So delicious! The place itself it super family friendly but they do have a bar area and happy hour drinks during the week. I'd definitely recommend!
