1 pound shrimp with sweet potato fries
    Ariana T.

I decided to give this place another try and ordered a pound of shrimp with Boss Sauce (spicy), which comes with corn and sausage--a definite plus. I added potatoes, and also got sweet potato fries and wings. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The sauce was perfectly spicy and extra garlicky, the sweet potato fries were delicious, the wings were huge and super crispy, and the service was great and fast. I'm definitely coming back!

3 pound of shrimp with little sauce

Don't come here if you're a saucy girl. Been coming here for quite some time, recently noticed the sauce doesn't suffice the amount of shrimp I order. This last order, I asked if they can add enough sauce since prior times there isn't enough. As I picked up, I noticed the sauce was still not enough for the 3 pounds I ordered. I asked if I can buy extra and I was denied. Not sure why they limit you on the sauce. Only complaint with this spot.

    Family meal + fried calamari

As a seafood boil fanatic, I have been wanting to taste test this place for some time now. Walking in it's not your average boiling crab / decorative ambience but don't let that fool you! The guy working cashier was super nice & they do have a lot of TVs around so it's perfect to watch live sports especially with all the drinks they have. Now as for the food, we ordered the Family Special #1 Company Cajun Sauce Extra Spicy lvl with a side of fried calamari. Now let me start by saying the amount of food we got was CRAZY they really stacked it up for a good price. The food itself was super delicious, well-cooked and seasoned. BE WARNED I loveee spicy things but the Extra Spicy had us all almost in tears!! I usually get that lvl at other seafood locations and can handle but this one was INSANEE. They really brought the heat so prepare yourselves on that one. I will DEF be going back but ordering the reg spicy one instead haha this is a good hidden seafood spot for sure!

My family frequently purchases the Family Special which perfectly feeds our household of 5! I called the establishment to ask about the sausage used, because it's such a savory burst of flavors in my mouth! I also wanted to inform them that the overall tray was exceptionally spicy! We've never had a problem with the level of heat before. Let's put it this way, our meal was not an enjoyable experience after five minutes we were sweating so much, we called it quits!! We even ordered a side of The Boss extra spicy sauce. Ohhhh no! That was mind blowingly I was told a new cook was trained. I advised his hand needs not be so heavy with the spices! I hope he gets those measurements correct for the next time we order. Look at their drawing! They clearly warned us

What are the current hours during the week? It says here they open 4pm, is that still accurate?

    Yes

    How spicy is the medium?

It's a little spicy even for me and I love spicy food. However, if you are not too much of a fan of spicy food I think the mild would be better. It's still a bit spicy but absolutely doable if. My husband does not like spicy foods but the many times…

I'm from Louisiana and I am always very disappointed by places claiming to be Cajun and Creole. Is it really Cajun or a watered down California version?

Not watered down at all. They are well known for their great sauces especially the Cajun one. They also have Lemon Pepper, Butter Garlic, Butter Garlic with a Kick, and their Boss Sauce which is a mixture of all of them.

    When is their happy hour?

    Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 4pm-9pm

We lucked out and got the last booth before the dinner rush. The place looked exactly like it did last time we came. Staff was still friendly. They don't accept cash, only cards/tap to pay. Their menu looked different. Wish I had taken a photo. You have an option to build your own boil by choosing your protein, sauce, spice level and add in's. They still don't allow you to mix garlic butter and lemon pepper sauces. You're forced to get the Kickin mix which includes Cajun even if you're not a fan of that flavor. They also have a kids menu with 2 choices, appetizers and family combos. Always intimidating ordering from a menu that doesn't disclose the pricing up front. That's the weirdest thing. Even restaurants in Beverly Hills have pricing on their menus. We got the family feast which feeds up to 4 people and had a combo of crab, mussels, shrimp, sausage, rice, potato and corn which was about $107. (Side note, they charge 50 cents for a pair of gloves and they do not provide you with a little towelette to wipe before or after your meal) This I have to admit was a pretty good deal considering it's a good amount of seafood. They serve it to you in a large metal bowl. We asked for mild since we had toddlers, but because of the Cajun in the sauce (that they force you to get if you want garlic butter and lemon pepper flavor) it was more of a medium, and the kids could not tolerate the heat. Which wasn't a bad thing since that meant more for us grown ups. Ordered them a side of truffle fries which was not too bad actually. We also ordered some of their specialty drinks which come in huge cups. We tried asking for two small empty cups so the kids could share our drinks, but they refused to provide that to us. According to the waiter, it's the restaurant policy that they can only provide water cups, but we have to figure out what to do with the water inside. (Insert face palm emoji) Also they do not provide buckets for your shells so we weren't sure what to do with all that water but drink it. The cups are thin paper cups to pair perfectly with those gross paper straws. By the time we finished the water the cups were pretty mushy already. Needless to say we couldn't finish all our food so we asked for it to go, reluctantly as we hoped they weren't going to try and charge us for those to go bags as well. Pro's: they brought the food out quickly. The food tasted freshly cooked. Con's: don't know where to begin. Parking lot sucks since it's shared with multiple other businesses. There is no place for you to sit and wait outside the restaurant. You'll need to stand outside by the parking lot and pray you don't get side swiped by some crazy driver. Menu has hidden pricing. They charge 50 cents for gloves and do not provide wipes for after your meal. They don't provide a bucket/container to place your seafood shells so it gets mixed in with your other food on the table. Can't even ask for an empty cup for kids. They don't let you customize your sauces your way. Sad to say after all this time my review for this place is still a solid 2 stars.

The waffle tasted very artificial, and the butter and syrup seemed like the cheapest possible quality. Using real butter and real maple syrup would make a huge difference without adding much to the cost. The chicken had a nice crispy texture, but it was surprisingly bland. It really needed more seasoning and a little more salt to bring out the flavor. To top it off, the wait was much longer than expected, especially considering there were only a handful of customers in the restaurant. The place definitely has potential, but based on my experience, the reviews didn't match the food I was served.

I stopped in to grab takeout for my husband and me and was told the order wouldn't take long. The server was helpful and answered all my questions, so I felt good about the order: clam chowder, half-order lemon pepper wings, a catfish dinner with an extra side of shrimp, and grilled salmon with two sauces on the side (and cooked medium). After waiting 45 minutes--which already felt excessive for this order--I decided to check the food. I'm glad I did. The salmon was overcooked (well done instead of medium) with the sauce already poured on top. The lemon pepper wings had barely any seasoning, like it was added after they were already dry. And they completely forgot the shrimp. The server took everything back to fix it, but that took another 30 minutes. By then, my husband's catfish (and for $19, you only get one filet) and his cheddar side were cold, and the Caesar salad was wilted and warm. When the salmon finally came back--after another 20 minutes--it was still overcooked, now rock hard, and completely unseasoned. It felt like they were relying on sauce to do all the work, but even that missed the mark. The shrimp also tasted like pre-packaged frozen, not fresh. Nearly $90 later, we didn't enjoy any part of the meal. I'd suggest sticking to the boil if you come here, because based on this experience, everything else fell short.

Let's start with the Cajun shrimp: perfectly cooked, tender, and absolutely drenched in a sauce so flavorful it should come with a warning label. Not salty, not greasy -- just balanced, bold, and outrageously addictive. You taste it once and immediately know someone in that kitchen actually gives a damn. And the crab legs... my god. HUGE, sweet, and steamed to perfection. You crack into them and it's like opening a treasure chest -- except instead of gold, it's pure, buttery, Cajun-kissed heaven. Now the sausage -- whoever seasons that deserves a raise. It doesn't just sit in the bag like an afterthought. It has its own flavor, completely over the top in the best possible way. Smoky, spicy, rich... it punches through the boil like it's auditioning for its own dish. But the real sleeper hit? THE GREEN SAUCE. Off. The. Chain. A straight-up flavor knockout -- bright, herby, tangy, and absolutely lethal in the way good sauces should be. It elevates everything you dip it in. I could drink it. I won't -- but I could. The whole experience? Different -- but in that rare, memorable, "I need to come back tomorrow" kind of way. Cajun Craving is easily one of the best seafood boils in LA.
