Nuzzled in the neighborhood of Sylmar ( yes you heard right ... Don't let it fool you it's worth it, fer real), you'll find this gem. Now I won't call it a whole in the wall but I will say this place knows what it's doing. It's hip in its own special way. Tucked next to the Sylmar branch library. Even better, go get a book and read and eat some delicious tacos. I'm not an expert at Mexican food but I am definitely picky when I eat Mexican food. Unless it's home made ... By my Brother- in-law's mom, I'm probably not gonna even try because I'm just not eating my calories in things I'm not sure I'll enjoy. It's my form of a healthy diet . You'll have to convince me otherwise. This is me convincing you that these are worth it. There's also a mural that will welcome you and put a smile on your face. Ambiance and seating: Day date worthy with a friend or whoever. Seat yourself either inside or outside. Parking: the lot is small but there are designated spaces. Street parking also available. everywhere you park just watch the signs. I can only speak of the Tacos as I only order these because they're so good every single time. Now it's not a small taco. For I think it's $5 now a taco you'll get a cheese lined flour tortilla open faced taco packed with so much meat of your choice and some semi spicy sauce that just makes you want more. Shrimp tacos: fave. The only thing I wish is that they deveined the shrimp but it is loaded with flavor that get over that quick. And I can also devein of I really wanted to lol Fish: oh this is so good. It's fried but not deep fried and it's a filet so I like the way it separates in each bite. The Aguachile cocktail with salsa roja is bomb! Beware it's really spicy, even mild is spicy and we love spicy! The shrimp and octopus taco is also very good. And the michelada is bomb too. The fish taco tasted like mud one bite, and I had to throw it away. The shrimp taco was good.

I believe one of the best or even possibly the best place for a shrimp taco in sylmar. The sauces the crunchyness of the cabbage the flour tortilla and the big shrimp and they don't skimp on the shrimp either. Hands down. I find myself craving these tacos atleast every other day. Honestly very filling. I'm satisfied with two. The ceviche de pescado.. is very lemony and it's exactly what I come for. I love the sour. Ask for the Chile on the side because it could get spicy but definitely need to add a lil kick. The miche mix is pretty good honestly. I enjoy the special touch they have in their mix. Service was fantastic and the taste of the food was good. The shrimp tacos were the best thing we bought (we got fish tacos and a mix of seafood dish with Tostitos. This place always come thru with their miche dips- Lately every time I come here either they are closed or the customer service is terrible. There is no in between! I showed up this morning at 11:25 am and they are still closed- no staff- no answer on the phone line. Prior to moving to the Santa Clarita Valley I had lived in Sylmar my whole life. 1st job, school, friends, and tons of great memories in the city by the hills. With all that said it's no surprise you find an awesome little spot like MichexGod there. This cool spot is a goto for mariscos and micheladas. Although they are not currently selling beer you can pick up a cup of premade mix and DIY at home with your favorite beer. Additionally the food is delicious. We picked up a shrimp quesadilla (sorry no pic) and some miche locos to bring home and all I can say is, "WOW!" Seriously the food and service for that matter are amazing. I dislike that they aren't open on certain days because that's when I am usually in the area but their tacos are amazing I really enjoy the shrimp taco, the octopus is my favorite, I don't like beer but their miche mix is always perfect with any beer or carbonated water. I usually call ahead to place my order and they are prompt with the time the food will be ready. They also have chamoys to go, try all of them find your favorites.
