Eating Chilaquiles for me is like a party with a great Mariachi and based on the reviews I read about Los Chilakiles, this was the place. Unfortunately Chilakiles like many places with great reviews are based on a lack of experiences and most reviews are based on emotionalism! I really wanted to like this place and share the great experience with the world but all I took away was a supersized disappointment with a side of wasted money. We ordered two orders of Chilaquiles with the red and green sauce, one with carne asada and the other with two eggs over medium. We were the only ones in line and that was a bit concerning but it was Friday at 10:30 am. The orders came out quickly and we retreated to our car for some intimate car dining. It felt like Xmas as we opened up our heavy container filled to the brim with anticipation! I started on the green zone and felt the kick of the spice and concluded that this spice was a bit over the top. Typically spicy isn't an issue as long as the flavor holds up and keeps me digging in. However, the spice was overwhelming and the sour taste of the tomatillo in the sauce kept sinking my experience deeper and deeper into the abyss! I decided to move onto the red sauce and it was better but just barely better. All I kept thinking was how disappointing these Chilaquiles were. I know that food like Art can be subjective but after a certain point the subjective opinion is just an opinion. We chose to try Los Chilakiles since they were right across the street from the coffee shop we visited. We had seen this truck before so finally gave it a try. Wow!!! So glad we did! Our order was taken right away but there were quite a few customers so we waited about 10 minutes or so for our order to be ready. We chose an order of chilaquiles with both red and green sauce, topped off with carne asada and an order of chicken taquitos. Both of the sauces were flavorful and spicy! Please, understand that in Mexican cuisine, even the less spicy sauce will still have a kick. The green tomatillo sauce is perfect! It's tangy, NOT bitter, and gives the fried tortilla chips just the right flavor. The red sauce was much spicier but again, full of flavor. The carne asada is well seasoned and goes great with both sauces. This is what real chilaquiles taste like. Don't expect watered down, canned sauce here! From the first bite, you know this family cooks with their heart to provide customers with an authentic dish. The taquitos come in a cup full of sour cream, lettuce, cheese and sauce. We tried this food truck based on the high Yelp ratings, but unfortunately our experience didn't match. We paid almost $70 for 3 orders of chilaquiles (they charge you for each topping and for each egg). Portions were decent, but the food tasted below average. Both sauces were also very spicy, even for someone like myself who enjoys heat. Very over hyped and over priced. We will not be back. read more

I was in the area nd saw this place on yelp so I wanted to give it a try due to the good reviews and pictures. So I ordered the green chilaquiles ($11) with asada and an egg. Upon ordering I found out the order of chilaquiles does not come with the protein (any kind of meat) so it's an extra $3 to add and when I asked for the egg like I saw in the pictures it was another add charge. Then the horchata was $7. Like dayyuuummm! Upon receiving my order the box felt a little heavy so maybe it would justify the price but I was wrong. Nothing special about. I tasted more chips drenched in green sauce than anything. The asada was cut up into very small pieces to the point I could bearly even taste there was any asada in my order. Let me just start by saying the food here is so damn good and fresh!! The Taquitos: The taquitos were good as hell! They have chicken potato are you could get potato and chorizo. I ended up getting one of each just because I wanted to try all of them. The potato and chorizo was my favorite they came served with guacamole, sour cream, a little bit of lettuce, super authentic tasting. The Chilakiles: The Chilakiles were amazing! They know what they doing. I got my Chilakiles with the green salsa and of course I got it with chorizo and then they loaded it with cheese, Mexican cream, onions, cilantro. I added some bean sauce and an egg and it was magical!! The Service: The service was amazing, everyone was friendly and helpful, they do get pretty busy but that's how you know the food is good. The Ambiance: It's definitely a fun lively spot with authentic cuisine. Love the trucks aesthetics. 10/10 will definitely be back read more

PROS: they do fill it to the top. Red salsa is good . Chorizo was good. Sour cream cheese cilantro and onion toppings are free. CONS: asada was bland no seasoning and a little discolored. Meat and egg are "add-ons" and charged separately. Wouldn't go back tbh. It's all over-hyped. For 2 orders , added meat and 1 egg to each, total was $35. Overpriced. One of the best chilaquiles i've ever tried! The service was great and friendly, the girl at the register was super helpful in helping us decide what to order. I would recommend getting the red & green chilakiles (mix) with asada and an egg! Although the egg and meat are add ons, it's definitely worth it! Not good at all, gentrified af. The salsa was sour, almost tasted expired, I was super excited after seeing everyone's IG but I can see it's just hype and paid sponsorships.
