Got the carnitas family pack here on a Sunday and what can I say is I'd come here again just for that. My buddy and I came here on an off chance cuz initially went to Key Burger but it was closed and we stumbled upon Carnitas Don Cuco. They had a great family pack deal for $25 with beans, rice, salsa, a bowl of carnitas and fresh pressed hand made corn tortillas. Carnitas - great flavor savory and smoke notes to the pork. Also, just the right amount of fat and lean meat. Not overly greasy compared to other carnitas I've had. Beans - great flavor of beans. Not from a can. Great seasoning on it. Corn tortillas - real deal fresh pressed and homemade style corn tortillas to go with our carnitas. This was definitely the highlight of the entire pack and put it all together. All in all I'd come here again just after my match. Go with cash only. They love that. Cash is still and always will be king. read more

It's a quaint little place that I've past plenty of times without knowing it was there. No restroom though. We were more of a fan of the asada than the carnitas. Maybe we needed to ask them to cook it more? The lady who took our order was very nice. The homemade tortillas are to die for, we even took a dozen home. We ordered a carne asada quesadilla which was chefs kiss cheese to carne ratio was amazing. The tacos were also delicious. The creamy green salsa is pretty spicy but great flavor. Saw the number of reviews and the solid 4 point somethin rating and knew where I was headed. Had the carnitas nachos and wow. When i physically picked up the food, heavy. Felt like a 2 lb nacho, no joke. Had more toppings than chips, great ratio. The carnitas were excellent, beans, cheese, guac, sour cream and an onion/cilantro filled out the top layer. Next time I'm gonna try the other meats, maybe not, carnitas nachos might be the only thing I get here and I'm ok with that. Will repeat and would def recommend. Happy hunting yelpers. read more

It's always a good sign when a place is busy and people are coming and going with bags of food. Whether you decide to sit and eat or take it home the flavors do travel well. Arrived to pick up our phone order and no one came to the front counter for a while. When they came to attend, they said it needed a couple more minutes to be ready. So I sat down and waited. Quite literally waited for 35 minutes for 7 tacos. I asked about my order update in between all the waiting, and they kept saying it's coming up soon. Eventually, the guy gives me my food and it was the wrong order. He asked for my name for the third time. He then tells me my order is almost done. I told him if it's not even made yet, to just give me my money back. And suddenly my order is ready to go. Like C'MON. My wife recently discovered this place recently on Yelp. It was so good the first time that we returned again two days later but this time with my parents to try it. We ordered two plates of carnitas, a plate de molcajete, aguas frescas, and a green tortilla ( St. Patrick's day) with asada. Everything was absolutely tasty. The carnitas are some of the best I've had in a long time. They were flavorful with the right amount of seasoning and weren't dry. The molcajete, served with asada, was out of this world with a bit of a kick. Both plates were served with large generous portions and the prices are very great. Oh brother where do I even begin you wanna talk about a hidden gem this place is it! The food was absolutely delicious and authentic me and my family went for a birthday lunch and we couldn't have picked a better place to go. The owner we very friendly and helpful we rolled in like 11 deep and they were so fast with our food . It's a small little restaurant that definitely deserves more space and more locations. I stopped by on a Sunday around lunch time and this place was pretty crowded. It's a small mom and pop restaurant with great food and great service. I recommend calling or placing your order online. I ordered the costillas en salsa verde plate and the chicharrón en salsa verde plate. Both dishes had great flavor. I wish the salsa was a little spicier but it was still really good.
