What really makes them stand out are the handmade tortillas -- those are my favorite kind, and not many places make them fresh homemade like this. Also, just the right amount of fat and lean meat. Not overly greasy compared to other carnitas I've had. Beans - great flavor of beans. Not from a can. Great seasoning on it. Corn tortillas - real deal fresh pressed and homemade style corn tortillas to go with our carnitas. This was definitely the highlight of the entire pack and put it all together. It's a quaint little place that I've past plenty of times without knowing it was there. No restroom though. We were more of a fan of the asada than the carnitas. Maybe we needed to ask them to cook it more? The lady who took our order was very nice. The homemade tortillas are to die for, we even took a dozen home. We ordered a carne asada quesadilla which was chefs kiss cheese to carne ratio was amazing. The tacos were also delicious. The creamy green salsa is pretty spicy but great flavor. I will NOT be going back. First, the guy I'm assuming the owner, told my brother he had to go finish his drink outside because he thought it was alcohol. Before assuming it was an alcoholic beverage he could have asked before telling him to go outside to drink it. It was an energy drink ! Second, we ordered a Buche&Cuerito Burrito and it was $18 because we asked for NO rice and beans. Third, I wanted 1 tortilla and he said we don't sell 1 only 3.... It's ridiculous ! I stopped by on a Sunday around lunch time and this place was pretty crowded. It's a small mom and pop restaurant with great food and great service. I recommend calling or placing your order online. I ordered the costillas en salsa verde plate and the chicharrón en salsa verde plate. Both dishes had great flavor. I wish the salsa was a little spicier but it was still really good. We ordered two plates of carnitas, a plate de molcajete, aguas frescas, and a green tortilla ( St. Patrick's day) with asada. Everything was absolutely tasty. The carnitas are some of the best I've had in a long time. They were flavorful with the right amount of seasoning and weren't dry. The molcajete, served with asada, was out of this world with a bit of a kick. Both plates were served with large generous portions and the prices are very great.
