The best mesquite chicken ever. My husband and I were driving by and have seen it before and decided to stop by. Right away we were greeted by the Señora and she was super sweet and kind. We got the whole chicken meal that came with cut up chicken, tortillas which were handmade beans, rice, and salsa. Let me tell you the flavor was so amazing. Super juicy and super fresh chicken. We enjoyed it so much we went back again this week. When we went it was calm but it can get busy at times.

16$ for a half of a chicken .. seriously ? ( for the location I think is way too overpriced ) This looks more like a breast chicken chopped in 4 parts !! Taste is salty and you can even taste the pepper . What a rip off . Always check your bag before taking it home .

Best Mexican authentic food in Los Angeles

Oh my God the chicken here is so fresh and delicious. You can taste the barbecue on the delicious crunchy skin made to perfection. I never had refried beans this delicious. The homemade tortillas are amazing. Everything here is serve fresh the service is great. The prices are amazing. I highly recommend one of the best Mexican lunches I ever had probably the best in Pacoima.

Spotted this place on a bike ride this morning and thought I'd give it a try as I smelled the chicken on the grill as I passed. Got the Pollo a Carbon Burrito. It was good. Big, just like I like it and the chicken was quite tasty. I was happy. My gf, a vegetarian, was a little disappointed by the options. She got the Chile Verde Quesadillas which unexpectedly came with meat. Next time she'll be sure to request no meat or maybe have to try something else. Not sure if you can get it without the meat, looks like it's cooked with it. We also got some Nachos, no meat. I think they'd be better with meat so no comment on those yet. We will be back to try some other stuff. A nice little neighborhood restaurant.

Guy who took my order was very very kind and hard working. I came during a rush, it's a small place with probably 10 tables total and it's a very casual setting in a plaza with a lot of different stores and supermarkets. The sign is pretty small so keep an eye out but I would 100% come here again. My to go container came with lemons also and they do not skimp out on anything! Portions are great for the price - 5 tacos for $15

PSA: THEY CLOSE AT 7:30 PM…read more Google and Yelp say this place closes at 8. We called to place a takeout order at 7:15pm and we're on our way already. The guy who was taking our order asked me what time we'd be there because they close at 7:30. I told him we would be there a few minutes after 7:30 and that if they were about to close it was fine, we could order somewhere else. The guy insisted and was very nice and let me place an order with them. I got a wet burrito de asada with green sauce and it was so good! Their green sauce was spicy and had a nice brightness to it. I would definitely order this again, especially with the amazing customer service. We also got a chicken burrito and I think they use the fajita chicken to make it so there were green bell peppers in it, which was interesting. I wouldn't get the chicken burrito again but the wet burrito was really good. If you want great service and tasty food, I'd recommend this place.

Finally, my husband and I had a chance to dine in on Sunday. We got there around 10:30 am. The parking lot was packed but found parking on the side street. It was so good. That is one of the popular dishes. I decided to get the Menudo, it was so Delicious, it even had some pasta meat and some hominy. This included homemade corn tortillas. It is so nice to see all the hard working ladies in the kitchen, especially the ones making the tortillas, now that is a special gift to manually make them! We really enjoyed the food, next time I will order the tortillas to go ahead of time, since it takes awhile for them to prepare. Service was Excellent, especially the waitress, she was so attentive!

We showed up at 8:40ish am on a Sunday right when they opened, excited to finally try this place after hearing good things. Parking was easy since we were some of the first customers there, and only two other tables were occupied. We walked in and stood around for a bit with no one greeting us. After waiting, someone finally told us to just sit wherever we wanted. We picked a table in the middle of the restaurant with a view of the kitchen, thinking it would help us stay visible so we would not get overlooked. Our party was five people. We started with coffees and waters. Just a heads up, the water is bottled Kirkland water so you will be paying for it, no tap water option. The cafe de olla was okay, but one person in our group had coffee grounds at the bottom. Also, that is the only coffee option, so if you need something without sugar, there is not really an alternative. We ordered menudo and chilaquiles, but when someone finally came to take our order, we were told they had run out of eggs. This was surprising since they had just opened. Service was slow even though the restaurant was not busy. When food started coming out, only two of the three chilaquiles arrived. After we got our chilaquiles, the menudo took another 25 to 30 minutes, so you will not be eating at the same time as everyone in your party, and that was only after we asked about it. When it finally came, it did not include the usual sides like onion, cilantro, oregano, or chiles. After a long time we asked the waiters for some sides and napkins too (never had any to start off), but nothing came. I eventually went up toward the kitchen because I kept seeing our waitress off to the side on her phone, not using the tablets for orders, so it was clear she was not busy. We kept checking in about the third chilaquiles dish and tried to be patient and polite about it. Eventually everyone else finished eating and that last plate still had not come out, so our fifth person just ate leftovers. When we asked for the bill, that missing chilaquiles dish suddenly showed up, well after we were done eating. We asked to cancel it since we no longer wanted it, but were told they could not take it off because the kitchen had already made it. To pay, you have to go up to the front instead of getting a bill at the table, and they ask you what table you sat at and what you ordered, which felt a bit confusing. After explaining everything, they did remove the charge without much argument, which we appreciated. While we were there, we noticed other tables having similar issues. One group waited a long time just to get menus, another had menus but no one came to take their order, and they eventually left. Another table also had to speak up about delays, though the staff did apologize. The food itself was good, but not good enough to make up for the overall experience. I really wanted to love this place, but the service needs a lot of work to match the quality of the food.
