He handled everything professionally and figured out the relevant plans to be applied in order to win the customer experience. I was on the phone for almost 2 hours though. Every time the temperature would suddenly go down - like every day when the sun sets, or any time a cold front would come through - my internet would stop working. Sometimes for minutes, sometimes for hours. I called tech support a dozen time and had three technicians come visit and each one tried something different but nothing solved the issue. Huge packet loss numbers (30+%) and pathetic speeds were my main issues. On the scheduled date of my last technician appointment, he called half an hour after my window started - I didn't answer, as I was in a work meeting at the time (remotely, at home). No message was left, but the technician merrily canceled my appointment. I called their 1-800 number and none of the people I talked to could've cared any less and the next appointment was over a week away. I'm attempting to activate my new service now. It's less expensive than Astound, which is probably a better value assuming this connection actually works most of the time. RCN used to be *GREAT* in Chicago but they have massively changed operations. Astound is worse than Brand X if that's even possible EDIT: I saw their automated response and reached out. No one responded in five days! EDIT 2: you also can't message them! the respond to message link doesn't work lmaoooooooo y'all are terrible

Sign me up for life! *** I don't know which is there main Yelp! Page so posting the same review here just in case*** The Details: Just another reason why I need to leave Manhattan... I hate my current internet and cable company-- Layer3 come to NYC please!! My brother had Layer3 installed one morning while I was visiting. I complained and expected the worst, but it was literally the easiest experience ever. This nice install rep (hi Chris!) came perfectly on time and did the entire setup for us in a few minutes - he was very pleasant and funny. I had no idea what this new cable was, so he spent time explaining and showing us a few pointers to make sure we understood the software. It's like a no contract, no fee, amazing cable company that has even higher quality imaging. Plus virtually unlimited DVR space (Hello binge watching!) Oh and it's less expensive than what I'm paying for UGHHHHH. The Damage: I believe the price is different depending where you are, so worth calling to see. I'll be signing up a soon as they come to Manhattan

I stuck with them a little longer but the quality of their services quickly deteriorated. I used to consider them the gold standard but i had to switch after a mystery charge appeared on my bill that they couldn't explain to me. I told them i was leaving and they didn't even care. I also refuse to go to Comcast. I noticed an ad for Layer 3 tv online and decided to try it out. Let me preface by stating i have a 1gigabit internet thru the fine folks from RCN who also have excellent customer service. Layer3 TV is an internet based cable solution. Their feed runs thru your internet. and they have 4K. I admit i was skeptical at first but once i switched i have not looked back. The picture quality is amazing and the customer service is outstanding. They are new to the Chicago area so there are a few kinks but you can tell with the technology they use they will become a force. Please keep doing what you are doing I enjoy your services immensely.

The xfinity agent told me their system was not proprietray and it could work with blink cameras. It is proprietary. There are advantages and disadvantages to a plugged in camera. I thought I could get the best of both worlds, but now have to run a separate system for blink. I talked to Omar 10/25. I complained that because they gave me bad info, I have to invest in additional equipment (sync module, echo show, and new router. From what I've been reading on the forums. It doesn't play well with the xfinity router). He told me they weren't charging me for the security equipment or installation so I let it go. I find out today, they actually are and they basically tell me there is nothing they will do. Sso much for their "satisfaction garauntee". Maybe I'll keep it. If I pull it out, I'll let you know how it goes. Just be careful when you talk to these them. I've been getting bad information. They might wonder why I never stick around for their surveys. It's because it sometimes takes a week or so before you find out the customer service agent didn't do what they told you they did. FYI: The system itself works OK for what it's supposed to do. I just wish their people were knowledgable enough to have told me what it was supposed to do instead of telling me what I "wanted to hear".

I do not recommend this company!…read more Unfortunately, my experience with WOW! for business internet and phone services has been very disappointing, and based on what I have gone through, I do not believe this is a reputable company. We initially signed a contract for internet and phone service, but continually struggled with issues on their phone apps that WOW! could not resolve. We managed to work around those problems until our office relocated in May. At that point, we discovered our new location was not serviced by WOW!. Instead of working with us fairly, they attempted to charge an exorbitant fee for not continuing with the contract--even though they did not provide service in our new area. We were told to return the company's phone equipment, which we did promptly. WOW! assured us that once the phones were received, a refund of the fee would be issued in the form of a Visa card. Although we requested a standard refund instead, they refused. Shortly thereafter, they charged our account again, this time claiming that more equipment had not been returned. At no time were we informed that additional equipment was required, and none of the items in our office were labeled with WOW! stickers to identify them. At that point, I was prepared to take the loss--but then another unexplained charge appeared on our account the following month. After five months of back-and-forth, I had no choice but to block WOW! on my business credit card to prevent further charges. This entire ordeal has been both time-consuming and frustrating. If you are considering WOW! for your business, I strongly advise against it. In my experience, the company has not acted honorably, and their practices have caused significant financial and operational headaches.
