When we arrived, they asked us if we wanted Sparkling or Flat. We asked for Flat and they served us water from a glass bottle. We didn't think differently since this is the norm in other restaurants. However on the second round of water, they left us the bottle and we realized it wasn't regular tap water. The tables around us were asked if they wanted Sparkling, Bottled, or Regular water. We came for happy hour. Michelada was decent. $6 not bad. Nice variety. I wanted to try the queso fundido from the regular menu but it was $21 with chorizo The price point here is high and the food is okay. I saw $45 for aguachiles. I didn't try them but I hope they're good. I just don't think this restaurant fits the demographic of Downey. Maybe Beverly Hills. That's the vibe when you walk into this place. The service was good. My family and I visited this establishment on Mexican Mother's Day for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. Very satisfied with the service and the experience we had. We arrive around 4 pm and we realized they are offered a very solid happy hour menu which we were able to enjoy. We had the chips and guac, green enchiladas, taquitos and street tacos. I've been to Diosas a dozen times and have always enjoyed the experience, but today was truly disappointing. We made a reservation to celebrate our daughter's 27th birthday -- I even noted it on the website -- yet not once did anyone acknowledge the occasion. No candle, no "Happy Birthday," nothing. For a place we've supported so many times, that lack of effort really stung. When we arrived, we were made to wait for our table even though all the tables were clearly ready and set. Then, instead of being seated at a booth, we were given a regular table. When I asked about moving, I was told booths are only for first-come, first-served guests -- which felt dismissive, especially since we had a reservation for a special occasion. When my daughter ordered an horchata, our waitress, Estaphany, casually said, "I think we're out. If we are, it'll take 30 minutes -- do you want to wait?" There was no effort to offer alternatives or check right away. As she was collecting our menus, she pulled them from under my knife, causing it to fall onto my pants and leave a stain. To make matters worse, my daughter's carne asada taco order came out wrong. She had clearly requested no cheese and no beans, yet it arrived with both. We had to send it back. Our bill was $300 -- and for that amount, you would think we'd be able to enjoy our lunch and have a special, memorable experience. We've been here when it's busy and have never had the kind of poor service we experienced today. What made it worse is that no one ever apologized or made any effort to make things right or make us feel better about the situation. For a place that's usually been reliable and enjoyable, this birthday celebration was a letdown from start to finish. Diosas really missed the mark today. read more

Extremely disappointed after visiting DIOSA for my sister's birthday. We made reservations easily and got seated pretty quickly. There were about 3/4 other tables on Saturday so we were expecting great service and prompt food. The ambiance is very nice and very Instagram worthy and the greatness ends there. My sister and I both ordered bottomless mimosas but were told we would have to call the waiter over every time we wanted a refill. When we ordered food we asked for slight alterations. To which our server said they could do. When the food came out, it was wrong. My sister asked for chicken in her cheese enchilada that came with the carne asada plate. My mom ordered the Mexican pesto pasta bowl with steak and got Fettuccine Alfredo with steak. When we brought it up to our server after waiting for over 45 minutes for the food in the first place he said he could get the correct pasta but it would probably take a while. And he had no other solution for the mistake so my mother ordered another drink and we had to ask if it would be on the house for the mess up on 2 out of 3 dishes. We then ordered desert and wanted the ice cream sundae and asked if it was vanilla ice cream. You guessed it, it was not and it took so long we cancelled it so we could leave after being in the restaurant for almost 2 hours. It still ended up coming out and it was extremely disappointing. Overall the food is decent but not worth the money spent just to take pictures. And the bathrooms were filthy! read more

I wanted to check out the local upscale restaurant in my city, Diosa. My friend took me there for a birthday treat. We were greeted by Josue who was very attentive. We came around happy hour and we enjoyed the chicken enchiladas and the main entree of steak and chicken fajitas. I mentioned my seafood allergy and made sure they would prepare my food carefully. Everything was good and planned to come back next week to take my cousin out for his birthday. On my 2nd visit I was greeted by Marcos who was the host. I forgot to mention the beautiful and modern decor as we were brought to our table. Juan Antonio was our server and he was very friendly and attentive. When he went on his break, Josue was our server and he remembered my severe food allergy and they took great care of me. Even the kind manager Stella came by our table to check on us. This place is gorgeous and the presentation of the drinks and food is wonderful. After we ordered it took 1hr for the food to arrive and it wasn't hot. I mentioned this to the manager and he gifted my friend free dessert for her bday which was generous and appreciated! While our server went on break he introduced us to his replacement, she never brought us what we asked for and she never checked if we needed anything. Came here for the first time after attending a show across the street at the Downey Theater. Had a reservation for 3 at 7:45p, but since the show ended earlier than expected, we checked in at 7:15p. The host did warn us that we would probably not be able to be seated until our reservation time, which we completely understood for a Saturday night. Unfortunately, we didn't get seated until 8:15p, which means we still waited half hour after our original reservation time (though still technically an hour after check in). As we waited in the very crowded lobby, noticed there were a few unoccupied tables for a while, so assumed they were short staffed as we noticed the host running around, pulling double duty, and prepping/cleaning tables (shoutout to her)! Noticed there was an empty outdoor patio, which could have been used as additional space for the overflow of waiting guests, but would have been nice if heaters and additional seating were provided. Upon seating, we noticed that the napkins were disposable which did not match the ambiance and pricing of food. Asked for a wine menu, which looked like it was designed on Word and laminated. This place has valet, but only three options for whites and reds? Linda helped attend us and was lovely, but unfortunately seemed like the rest of the crew was out of sync. We ordered drinks and guac to start. Just as our drinks arrived, a lady with a tequila cart tried to sell us bottle service? While we understand this might be appealing for some, definitely felt off putting for our dining experience. While the margarita flight was visually stimulating, flavors were lackluster with not being able to distinguish between them, except for the overly spicy Pineapple Serrano which had no taste of pineapple. Food arrived and we never received our guac. Linda apologized and mentioned that they were serving a very large private event and asked if we still wanted it, but at this point we politely declined. Food and presentation were good, though we ordered a steak, which didn't arrive with a steak knife and had to ask for one which came dull. Mid-way through our food, the guac arrived which we sadly had to state to the server that we had asked to cancel earlier. To end the night, my dad asked for a cup of coffee, which came cold, and the sundae dessert, which took a while to come out even with noticing that restaurant occupancy had gone down. Overall, 2 stars were given for Linda's kindness and food (not beverage). Definitely looks like a popular spot, but in my opinion, overall service does not match the aesthetic nor pricing. read more

I frequent this location often due to the outstanding customer service and food! Parking is valet only (10) dollars. Ambiance: Medium noise level definitely great for a date night , catching up with a friend etc. Waiters are attentive and answer any questions you have! Drinks are 10/10 they have different themes and flavors that make them unique. My favorite one is the strawberry basil margarita! Tonight we got the nachos , veggie empanadas , chicken enchiladas and a Cesar salad. The flavors are great!
