Coming into town we wanted to try the best local pizza place. We saw good reviews here and asked a few locals and they agreed that they had good pizza so we headed to try them out. The staff here it's super friendly and helpful. The pizza choices and salads sounded really good. We opted for the 505 (pepperoni with green chili) pizza and a ranch salad. Both were delicious and prices were really good and we had a lot of leftovers to take home of both. I can say enough about the staff here all of the ladies and gentlemen we're working hard and smiling at the same time which is rare and appreciated! Thanks for the great pizza and service! read more

This was my first visit to Dion's in Roswell. My daughter brought me here for dinner while I was in town visiting from California. Now before you roll your eyes... yes, I'm from Cali... and yes I know more about pizza than anybody else... just kidding... kinda. The place looked real clean inside and the staff was super friendly. Everyone seemed in a good mood and the vibe was laid back... which I appreciate. We got a medium "Special" and a large pepperoni. The special had green chile, mushrooms, black olives and pepperoni. Not gonna lie... it hit the spot. Cheese was gooey, toppings were solid and everything came out hot. The large pepperoni was decent too... but I felt like it needed a little something extra. Maybe a pinch of black pepper or some kind of spice to wake it up a bit. Just felt like it was playing it safe. Now the crust... that's the only real downside. It wasn't bad... just a little tougher than I prefer. I like a crust that fights back a little... not one that wins the fight. Their Dion's ranch though... that stuff deserves its own review. If you like ranch you're gonna wanna dip everything in it... including your keys. It's that good. All in all this was a good experience. I'd come back again. No major complaints. Good food. Staying overnight in Roswell, we found Dions on Yelp and they had great reviews. We ordered and picked up a large 505 (Pepperoni and green chiles). It was FANTASTIC!!! , we actually ate on it for two days. It was so big. One of the better pizzas I've had in a long time. We just went through the drive-through so I can't speak for the inside of the Restaurant, but the service was fast and friendly. Highly recommended! read more

This was some of the best pizza I have had is some time. My husband and I are pizza snobs and look for highly rated pizza places. this did not disappoint. It is a restaurant that you order at the counter and pick it up when it is ready, so not formal dining at all. Ordered a thin crust that's not really very thin, but it's definitely thinner than their traditional. Not too big of deal, however, it came undercooked. Their thin crust (gourmet) is advertised as crispy, this was not. It was floppy and a little doughy. While passing through Roswell, NM, we were looking for a quick bite to eat. We had our intentions set on another restaurant, but noticed Dion's while stopped at the traffic light. The building and landscaping were neat and clean, so we gave it a shot. The food was fantastic! I had a a slice of pizza and my mom had a roast beef and provolone sub. Both were fresh and delicious. Visiting the area and this was one of the best spots we found on Yelp. Ordered a Medium pizza to-go. Had to go inside and wait in line for pick-up which did not take too long. It was ready during the 20-minute time span as they quoted. The checkout team was very friendly. The place was pretty packed inside as well which adds up to their delicious pizza! They're fantastic. They suck. They bounce back and fourth from absolutely amazing pizza to greasy garbage. It's frustrating. The last four times I've been to Dion's, this place has been three of them. I stopped coming here a while ago but had pizza at an Albuquerque location and it was fantastic. So I gave Roswell's a chance again. It was so greasy, sausage and onion, the same thing I had in Albuquerque, but this wasn't good. Maybe about a month ago I was right there, I stopped in just for the hell of it and the person at the register suggested something that was fantastic. It was such a good pizza that I came back and tried to get it again and not only did it take multiple people to ring it up, but they missed ingredients and it is once again very greasy. The subs here are always good, the people here are always friendly, but the pizza very much depends on who's working that day I think. read more

The pizza was really good. We had the Hawaiian, which I loved the most due to the thin shaved ham it had on top, a pepperoni pizza and then a plain cheese pizza for the kids. We had a picky eater with us and they ate like four slices. I had the famous green chili ranch and while it was good, I wasn't a big fan of it--but that's more due to my own indigestion issues. It could be a hit for someone else. Their fountain drinks weren't the best. They stated it was Coke but it did not taste like Coke--husband works for them and he said it did not taste like their product. So unsure what's going on there. Wish you could get your own refills. Have a chance to try something else if you don't like what you initially got. Would definitely stop by again for the pizza. read more

Friendliest Dion's of the chain! We've come here a few times while visiting our NMMI cadet. Young people taking phone orders and at register are friendly and appear to enjoy working there. The 1st time that I ordered pizza (16") on their website, I wasn't asked for any payment information and wasn't provided with a confirmation number. When I arrived at the pick up window, the window attendant had no record of my order, so had to wait in the parking lot until my pizza was ready. I'm not blaming Dion's for this website mishap, as I thought it very odd that the site allowed me to build a pizza, presumably place the order without paying in advance and received no confirmation thereof. I attributed this to a webmaster screw up, because that's what webmasters and software engineers are. Coming from the NYC area, I'm very particular about pizza. I'll have to say the Dion's pizza was good, much better than the first place that I tried in town. However, the toppings were very sparse (Italian sausage and onions). My second order from Dion's this past Friday, that I also placed on their website, but this time through the proper avenue and was provided with a confirmation number. With the confirmation number in hand, I arrived at the pick up window, handed the window attendant the confirmation number and voila, she was unable to find it in the system. Then we proceeded with the last name on the order route which, having a difficult last name, tried to avoid. Fortunately, that worked. But then why provide a confirmation number if it's of no use at the pick up window? So, I got my pizza home and was disappointed anyway, although the pizza itself was good. Remembering the sparse toppings on my first order, I spent the extra $ for "2x" toppings option. However, the toppings realized were as sparse as the amount of the regular toppings on my first order. I won't be going for the 2x option again, but instead will put that extra $ towards a beer. Also, Why is it that out west, no one knows how to slice a 16" pizza into 8 equal large slices??? I don't get that. In NYC and the metro area, you can walk into any pizzeria and by a pie, sliced into 8 equal slices, or buy a single such slice. Suggestion: add a real Sicilian pizza to your menu. The other place in town whose name that I didn't mention above, offers a "Sicilian-style" pizza which is just a pan pizza using the same dough as their normal pizza. Needless to say, I passed on it. You haven't had pizza until you've had a real Sicilian pizza. This review is an after though and didn't think of snapping a photo of the pizza. I would like to point out I have eaten pizza in Italy, New York and Chicago so I can attest to what good pizza tater like and this place has it. While this may usually have been a 4 star review location is key. This gem is found in Roswell NM which doesn't boast a large food scene especially when it comes to pizza or Italian, so having a good slice here is harder said than done and that's why 5 stars is needed. From my coworkers I heard the Dion's subs were pretty good. First day to try them and could not order online or call in so with a list from my coworkers I stopped in ready to go inside to order. I was surprised when as soon as I parked someone came out to get my order. He also explained their website and phones were down and the reason I couldn't get through.
