A Beast of a Sub - Jersey Mike's Hits the Spot…read more Whenever I'm away from home (Lemoore, CA), I try to eat somewhere I can't find back home--usually a local spot, not a chain. But Jersey Mike's caught my eye, and when I saw it hadn't been reviewed yet, I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone: try something new and get the first review in. We went with the #13 Original Italian--the Giant, and let me tell you, they don't call it "Giant" for nothing. This thing is a legit 15 inches long, and when you see it next to a regular bag of chips, it looks like it could take on a small army. Loaded with provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni, it's everything you want in an Italian sub. The bread was fresh, soft with just the right amount of chew, and the veggies were crisp and vibrant--no sad, wilted lettuce here. The flavors all came together like a well-orchestrated sandwich symphony. Nothing wild or over-the-top, just a good, honest, quality sub that hits the spot. The restaurant itself was clean and busy, always a good sign. The staff were quick and efficient, keeping the line moving while still making sure every sub was built with care. If you're looking for a no-nonsense, solid sub, Jersey Mike's delivers. And if you're hungry? Go Giant--it's a meal and a half.

The staff here it's super friendly and helpful. The pizza choices and salads sounded really good. We opted for the 505 (pepperoni with green chili) pizza and a ranch salad. Both were delicious and prices were really good and we had a lot of leftovers to take home of both. I can say enough about the staff here all of the ladies and gentlemen we're working hard and smiling at the same time which is rare and appreciated! Thanks for the great pizza and service!

Now before you roll your eyes... yes, I'm from Cali... and yes I know more about pizza than anybody else... just kidding... kinda. The place looked real clean inside and the staff was super friendly. Everyone seemed in a good mood and the vibe was laid back... which I appreciate. We got a medium "Special" and a large pepperoni. The special had green chile, mushrooms, black olives and pepperoni. Not gonna lie... it hit the spot. Cheese was gooey, toppings were solid and everything came out hot. The large pepperoni was decent too... but I felt like it needed a little something extra. Maybe a pinch of black pepper or some kind of spice to wake it up a bit. Just felt like it was playing it safe. Now the crust... that's the only real downside. It wasn't bad... just a little tougher than I prefer. I like a crust that fights back a little... not one that wins the fight. Their Dion's ranch though... that stuff deserves its own review. If you like ranch you're gonna wanna dip everything in it... including your keys. It's that good. All in all this was a good experience. I'd come back again. No major complaints. Good food. Good service. Good vibes. I think most folks will enjoy it even more than I did. --Kevin from Cali... pizza snob in recovery

With the choice of music playing, and plenty of seating, Icould easily spend a few hours if I wasn't just passing through. The cold brew was flavorful and strong, although unfortunately it wasn't very cold. I also appreciated the excellent service. When I asked if they could make a turkey croissant that wasn't on the menu, they simply said, "No problem!" That kind of flexibility goes a long way. The green chili turkey panini was just okay. The green chili didn't taste particularly fresh, and the yellow mustard wasn't really my thing. For such a cool and unique coffeehouse, I'd love to see the food menu get a little more creative. Overall, a great atmosphere and friendly service make Stellar Coffee worth a stop, especially if you're looking for a comfortable place to hang out with a good cup of coffee.

A lot of non charismatic service, possibly due to too much weed on their time off haha they were pretty behind too, & busy. Lot of orders to fill The ambiance was chill, & hipster. Not much alien stuff going on in there, Interestingly enough. A good spot to hang though!

Firstly, the server lacked in-depth knowledge…read moreabout wine, though they were familiar with the labels, which added an element of amusement. Secondly, the wine tasting options were limited solely to the bottles that were open, priced at 3 for $15, which was reasonable. However, for guests unfamiliar with the region, the presence of local vineyards may come as a surprise. I am aware that high desert areas can yield exceptional grapes, yet the experience did not adequately convey the origins, distinctions, or cultivation methods of the vineyard's grapes. As a winery, it is crucial to educate staff about the grape varieties offered and ensure they can address customer inquiries effectively. One staff member appeared annoyed by questions, while another was unable to provide answers but maintained a pleasant demeanor. Would I visit again to try the food? Sure, Being a chef it'll be interesting if they use the right pairing of the wines to enhance the food they serve. Menu looks amazing. But only can review the bar experience so far. **Reflections of a Traveling Chef: Expectations and Perceptions** In the world of culinary arts, especially when you're constantly on the move like a travel chef, managing expectations becomes a balancing act of its own. Our first interactions with new places and people often paint vivid pictures in our minds, for better or worse. I find myself guilty of overanalyzing initial encounters and reacting more strongly than perhaps warranted. This tendency was clear when I first dined at a restaurant where a server's attitude struck me as indifferent. At that moment, my expectations shifted into a montage of assumptions, casting a shadow over my experience. Yet, I realized later that perhaps, in my haste to judge, I had missed understanding the nuances that come with new environments and personalities--a lesson in perception that time and experience continue to teach. Returning to the same restaurant, I approached with a renewed perspective and sought to experience it anew, sans the baggage of past misjudgments. This time, the culinary offerings of beef Wellington bites and a green chili cream cheese appetizer opened my eyes to the finesse and creativity the establishment could offer. What stood out, however, was not just the food but the human element--Josh, who transformed an initially unpleasant experience into something unexpectedly delightful. Josh's efforts reminded me of the power a single individual holds in reshaping perceptions and the pivotal role attitude plays in hospitality. As I reflect, the lesson becomes clear: while our expectations can skew reality, our ability to embrace change and give second chances can lead to unexpectedly rewarding experiences.

They don't bother me at all, but we also had to shoo away them and especially flies which are sure annoying. I opted for a whole #9 turkey with black olives ($13). I am glad I did get chips, salad, or soup. It would have been too much for me. The avocado on my sandwich was a bit of a turnoff, having browned quite a bit. However, it was tasty. My oldest got a whole #12 BLT ($14). That thing had a ton of bacon strips which she didn't share. Lol. She at all of it. She had a cup of tomato basil soup which I thought was okay. Not my favorite. The lemon berry mascarpone cake ($7) was very delicious even though the cake part fell apart easily. Our waitress was friendly, but just a bit weird at times - like not handing me the receipt when I reached for it. She instead placed it further out in front of me. She just was in La La Land I guess. I would back for a lazy brunch with mimosas.
