Disappointing Curbside Experience - Not Worth the Wait…read more I placed a curbside order at 8:13 PM and didn't leave until 8:56 PM--a 43-minute wait for a to-go meal. I even called the store at 8:45 and was told my food would be brought out. It wasn't. Another customer who arrived after me got their food first. Only then did a staff member ask if I was still waiting and finally brought my order. Turns out my food had been sitting under the heat lamp the entire time. The Dr Pepper Blackberry Shake had to be remade on the spot because it was no longer presentable (on the plus side, my wife loved the shake). Unfortunately, the rest was a mess: Cold burgers Terrible fries (I had to reheat them in my air fryer) One burger was supposed to have everything except mustard, but came completely plain A manager (I believe named Dan) spoke with me but said there was nothing they could do about a refund because it was an online order. I spent $44 for what was supposed to be a quick meal. For that price and time, I could've sat down at Applebee's, ordered three full-size burgers with drinks and fries, tipped 20%, and still spent less money for better service and food. Chili's and BWW offer similar deals. Really disappointed this time. Hopefully they can improve the curbside process, because this was not Whataburger's best. At least, I hope it's not.

Spicy Beef Nachos Appetizer: Chips topped with queso, green onions, jalapeños, black olives, tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream. My friend got this and I had a couple bites. Chips were not soggy and it was large enough to cover as his dinner. Green Chile Burger: Topped with monterey jack cheese and roasted chopped Chaves County-grown hot green chile. Served on a jalapeño bun with a side of our hot green chile sauce. Their signature burger and it tasted good. I don't need too much food but the amount of fries I got was too little even for me. Got two Johnny Walker Blacks with a splash of coke and they came well mixed and quickly. We did end up getting rained in and hilariously went back for a second dinner to wait out the rain. Black corn taquitos were OK, I would not get the fried shrimp basked again, the shrimp was too small and there was too much breading.

I live in California, where the Long John Silver's in my town closed down, and now I have to drive nearly 50 miles if I want to enjoy it. So, when I came to Roswell to visit my daughter and she took me here for lunch, I was beyond pleased. And the best part? Everything was cooked fresh! Nothing was sitting around getting soggy or stale--just hot, crispy, golden-fried goodness. When it's fresh, it's simply the best! Now, let's be real--this is a fast food spot, so I wouldn't go all the way to five stars, but I'm more than happy to give it four solid stars, and I'd gladly return anytime. The employees were friendly, and the restaurant was mostly clean. I did notice some things on the floor that could have used a quick sweep, but nothing that ruined the experience. I didn't check the restroom, but from what I saw, the place was in good shape. Now, for a little message to the crew: "I rang that bell, hard and loud, Because I was grateful for the food you packed out! Fresh and delicious, crispy and hot, Keep up the good work--you're hitting the spot!" Thank you for making this meal worth the stop. Keep that fryer sizzling and the food coming out hot and fresh, because without employees like you, you wouldn't have customers like me! I'll be back next time I'm in town. Keep up the great work!

A Beast of a Sub - Jersey Mike's Hits the Spot…read more Whenever I'm away from home (Lemoore, CA), I try to eat somewhere I can't find back home--usually a local spot, not a chain. But Jersey Mike's caught my eye, and when I saw it hadn't been reviewed yet, I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone: try something new and get the first review in. We went with the #13 Original Italian--the Giant, and let me tell you, they don't call it "Giant" for nothing. This thing is a legit 15 inches long, and when you see it next to a regular bag of chips, it looks like it could take on a small army. Loaded with provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni, it's everything you want in an Italian sub. The bread was fresh, soft with just the right amount of chew, and the veggies were crisp and vibrant--no sad, wilted lettuce here. The flavors all came together like a well-orchestrated sandwich symphony. Nothing wild or over-the-top, just a good, honest, quality sub that hits the spot. The restaurant itself was clean and busy, always a good sign. The staff were quick and efficient, keeping the line moving while still making sure every sub was built with care. If you're looking for a no-nonsense, solid sub, Jersey Mike's delivers. And if you're hungry? Go Giant--it's a meal and a half.
