Solid cafe food food with generous portions and extremely friendly service! Only slight complaint was that the room was freezing cold lol but better chilly than hot! I ordered the chicken Cesar wrap and it was delicious- generous with the dressing and lots of chicken so it made a solid meal. The people who got burgers all looked happy and the salad was also a good sized portion. Sweet potato fries were good and the onion rings looked amazing. The cashier was super friendly as were the staff who cleared our table- all in all I'd recommend it! My husband and I stopped here on our way home to Texas from Northern New Mexico. Friendly faces, fantastic food, and great atmosphere! This was a surprise find and one that we were thrilled to stumble into. The staff was lovely and it quickly became clear that they were supporters of a greater cause. We loved the Valley Cafe. The outside is unassuming, we were even sure if we were at the right place. You walk in and it is huge. You walk up to a counter, place your order and grab a table. We were driving through Roswell and wanted a cute, unique lunch. This was the perfect place! I had a Jamwich ( with a homemade pineapple jalapeño jam that was spectacular) that was out of this world! The chef himself came out to give iced tea refills and once asked , told us all about the restaurant and the mission. Not only is the food delicious, but the mission is inspirational! It was a little hard to find as another person mentioned, it's in an industrial looking building. The food was amazing and cooked when ordered fresh. Even the side salad was freshly made - not partially from a bag. The service was spot on and efficient! Just a side note, I believe the cafe is somehow affiliated with "church on the move". Christian music was playing and the staff shirts have a Christian message. If it is community outreach- which it appeared to me, I applaud them. Cool little place in a mostly non descript building that is the youth center. This gives plenty of room to sit and a cool place with pool tables and such. You order at the counter with a super friendly staff. I ordered the Green Chili patty melt medium. With Tots. It was delivered super hot to my table. It was amazing! Stopped here for lunch and enjoyed the turkey melt and iced tea very much. Service was friendly and food arrived promptly. Oddly cheap, perhaps because they are associated with the church? The space is really odd but very open and apparently well ventilated, which I appreciate for COVID concerns. The biggest downside (for me) is that it's wayyyy at the far south end of town and when I'm here for work I'm usually towards the north end. So it's a pretty long drive. But for a good sandwich at a great price on the south end of town, it's worth a return visit. read more

Checking Yelp on our way through town, we ended up here after about an hour of driving passed closed-down restaurants. Thank goodness we found it since it's a little off the beaten path. My kids were excited to play Battleship and my husband and I played foosball while we waited for our food. It's a big modern space that doubles as a church, or is at least connected with the church across the street. There are bibles at the entrance, but luckily that didn't dissuade us from eating there because it was fresh and tasty and the staff was friendly and attentive. I wasn't sure what to expect when walking into The Valley Cafe. What a pleasant surprise! The ambience inside is bright and clean. My husband and I were greeted immediately by staff. My husband and I ordered at the window and sat down at one of the modern tables. I ordered the large bowl of creamy chicken green chili and my hubby ordered the green chili patty melt. A lovely young lady brought our food to the table and I was absolutely shocked at the portion sizes! My creamy green chicken chili was served in a serving bowl. It was enough to feed a family of four. The chili is hearty and delicious to boot. BEWARE: order the small bowl if you want a single serving My husband's patty melt was also very generous with a large serving of thin cut fries. It's actually a converted warehouse, apparently acquired by the church across the street for the purpose of operating a restaurant. Which they do magnificently!
