    Carne Asada plate

Mexican food that comes with french fries. lol I do have to say the Carne Asada quesadilla was wonderful The three taco dinner with premade taco shells was not The Carne Asada dinner was very good. It came with french fries which was very strange and we came with one tortilla, which was a bit odd but the portion size and the amount of food was perfect. I am from San Diego so am I custom to eating lots of Mexican food and this almost hit the spot The service was wonderful. They spoke English and took the order perfectly with no mistakes. The food was hot and served quickly. It's a wonderful queen and casual restaurant to go to.

I went here for breakfast and to my pleasant surprise, it was a serve yourself buffet.! With fresh Meudo and all the sides. Caritas in a red sauce, add your own eggs, which they also had..! The only thing missing were tortillas..! Service was good, my drink wasn't ever empty and the price was perfect, under $10..! I'll leave a picture and although it may not look very inviting, just remember, you can build your own..!

This place was such a wonderful place to have breakfast. It was a comfortable environment with delicious food. The staff was very friendly and welcoming especially the server who helped us. If you don't stop here during your stay, you'd be missing out.

Very friendly service, and the food is all great. My husband & I eat here often. The green chili burgers are the best! Prices are reasonable for large portion sized meals. Will be back.

Best Mexican food in Roswell NM. Large portions and great service! Our favorite is stacked enchiladas with two eggs on top over medium!

Pulled over to get a coffee before long shift. Super cute and clean. Young girl at counter was very friendly and nice when I took a little extra time trying to figure out what I wanted. On the large board behind the counter was the special drinks and food for the month of February. I decided to get a chocolate cherry iced latte with white chocolate instead of milk or dark. I also got the white chocolate strawberry scone. The scone came warmed , it was so good I should have gotten 2 of them. My iced drink was good, even with swapping out of white chocolate it was tasty but a bit on the sweet side. They also have milk alternatives, I got oatmilk. I like that they use paper cups to help with the over use of plastic cups and not a lot of places to recycle them.

The second you walk in, you know this is the coffee spot in town. The music, lighting, people, and overall energy made it clear why it was packed. Aliens everywhere, local art and curiosities lining the walls, and that effortlessly cool, eclectic vibe where you don't know where to look first--but in the best way. The food and drink held up just as well. Coffee and teas were solid, with a local tea vendor on site doing samples and selling loose-leaf blends, which was such a great touch. I had a vegan hummus salad that was genuinely good, plus some food bites, while my husband loved his burrito. I also stumbled upon handmade origami earrings (cranes and roses!) that I was obsessed with, along with books, swag, and random treasures--at one point I picked up a Japanese art book I would've bought instantly if it had been for sale. And just when you think you've seen it all, the space keeps going: a wine lounge in the back, a roasting operation, more rooms to explore. Huge credit to the staff--only a handful of employees holding down a nonstop crowd, all with great energy. If you're passing through New Mexico, even if Roswell is slightly out of the way, Stellar Coffee is absolutely worth the stop. The hidden wine lounge with speakeasy vibes is named Interstellar - SO CUTE !!

Service was great and I loved our waitress, she was super friendly and made sure our coffees were full and our meal was good. This was our first meal at Roswell and it was SO good for a small-town breakfast cafe. It was also our first daytime experience with the touristy Alien decor via their window painting. Breakfast Quesadilla: With hashbrowns and beans. My friend loved this and destroyed it. I tried a quesadilla and it tasted amazing. Carne Asada: I got this plate and just based on the high quality of the rice and beans I knew the meat would be good. The rice and beans were seriously some of the best I've had in awhile and when the tortilla came in its own container I knew the meat and tortilla would be amazing as well. This was a decadent breakfast for me and tasted great.

It is quite noisy so when you walk in there is a sign that says Please wait to be Seated but someone from somewhere tells have a seat and you don't know of it is directed to you. So you stand there looking dumb. Then again yelled Sit anywhere. I grab the only open clean table. The waitress comes over and gives me a menu and asks if I want water. I said yes. She can back and brought me chips and salad but forgot my drink. After 10 mins she returns to take my order. I ordered the kids taquito plate. Waited about 10 more mins to get my food. In the mean time I started with the chips and salsa. It was good but I think made with more chipotle chilies than jalapeños. It gave it that burnt taste. Or maybe it was burnt because they just have it in a large stock pot sitting under a heating lamp. My food came out and it was larger than expected. It came with 3 taquitos, a large scoop of beans and rice. I did not care for the flavor of either. The beans tasted like they came from a can and the rice was not very flavorful. What makes up for the stars is the chicken taquitos. They were ever flavorful. Juicy and well seasoned chicken. I also loved the fresh guacamole with the plate. About that water, I never received it.

This was a nice portion of food with a good amount of flavor in each dish. The beef enchilada was probably the best item out of the three - well seasoned beef in a tortilla, covered with good chile sauce. The service was just okay - it seemed like we were almost inconveniencing our server, but at least the host was friendly. Despite being fairly empty, it did take a little while for our food to arrive. After some research, this seemed to be one of the better options for New Mexican food in Roswell, so I'd probably go back on my next visit.

A little bit less common yet, we find restaurants that provide this space over a long period of time. Martin's Capitol Cafe would be such. We ordered a tamale, carne adovada and a chimichanga. The chimichanga wasn't deep fried but pan fried, which was not common and already a red flag. We got our food and it was just OK. The chips and salsa were good, but the food was OK. My portion was also small, and the rice was a bit dry. Maybe we ordered wrong... The restaurant is also a bit well worn. It adds charm but I think charm that is not backed up with good food is like a band-aid over a bleeding wound.

It's a reasonably sized patriotic diner on the side side of the alien-themed town. But the service on November 29, 2025, was wonderful. Very down-to-earth. I popped in to get a table for 5. I warned the first waitress I had that my company would be much later and I could wait elsewhere if necessary. She wouldn't have it. She asked what I was drinking and brought out an orange juice to me promptly. I had great conversation with her afterwards. Once my party finally arrived, my waitress's shift was over so we switched to a younger much less experienced girl, but she was still fine to me. My ex was less impressed and proceeded to speak negatively about the "people of Roswell," but I'll keep it positive... at least he paid for lunch. I covered the tip since I appreciated their welcoming, warm attitudes. All of our burgers were juicy - not overly greasy. The portions were huge. If you're law enforcement or military, you will be especially appreciated here - and thank you for your service. Ample parking out front.
