I'd already left one review but after an encounter just yesterday, I HAD to come back again. His…read morestaff are completely incompetent and undereducated. At one time BEFORE the Dr. was a part of some consortium or something (called West Coast Neurology...none of whom are good, caring doctors) there was just one set of staff. They were competent. I had no issues with their work. After he separated and got his own staff (which I'll also note have NO diversity at all) have been horrible and uum, not very bright/intelligent. This matters! As a patient you want competent, well trained folks involved in your health care (medications, etc). On a prior occasion his staff didn't understand simple middle-school math which MatterS, especially when it comes to meds' dosage, for goodness sake. Yesterday I called to fix a situation with not receiving my meds. The pharmacy refused to fill my RX because of the errors made by Dr. B's staff, specifically Sajona (per the pharmacy who actually spoke with her). She had put in order for my meds to be in the form of syringes. I've NEVER received them in that way except for once by Dr.B staff error that time too. My meds are supposed to be auto-injectors. I was referred to Dr. B's assistant, Arianna, to correct this mistake, along with Another mistake with the same meds. My last rct. of these meds was too much. I received a 3 month supply all at once. I'm supposed to receive only a 30-day/one month supply at a time. This needs to be refrigerated. Auto injections take up a lot of space in the fridge and/so 3 mos. worth is too much, not to mention the 'freshness/viabilty' aspect. Arianna claimed that this was an error on the part of the authorizing medical MedRx because said the Dr.'s original order was for a 3mo. supply. I told her that she was Wrong, I've had this Dr. for at least 10 years and never got 3 mos. supply all at once except for now.The Dr. has to reissue/redo Authorizations for these meds every 3mos. but Not a 3 month supply. I had to explain this to Aurianna, and I, the patient shouldn't have to explain Her job to her. She insisted that she was looking at the Dr.s order and it was 4 a 3month supply. She refused to take accountability for HER lack of knowledge and said that the insurer must have changed their rules to authorize 3mos. Wrong! I was in a 3-way call with both the Med-RX people and Molina. Med RX pulled my info. and said the Dr.s order was for a 30-day supply only! When I called back to the Dr.s office (and I called Before the end of the office hours) suddenly NO ONE answered the phone! Interesting (because I know they have caller ID/ can see the # that's calling). Incompetent, non-educated, unprofessional, passing the buck, not taking accountability describes this Dr.s staff, periodt! I'm diligently searching elsewhere!

I was in a car accident that changed my life for the worst back in 2018. For about 10 months after…read morethe accident, I had daily vomiting from the pain I was in. I will keep a long story short, and say that I was able to access a better network of doctors by getting insurance through my workplace instead of through Covered CA. Dr. Brizuela promised me that he would partner with me to improve my condition and health and refer to experts for anything he couldn't figure out. HE HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!!! I am not crier. But every time I am in his office and tell him how I'm feeling better and slowly but surely returning to "normal" activities, I start crying when I feel the hope swell up within me to return to my life of health and fitness. (I was training for my first bikini competition prior to the car accident.) He is very kind, empathetic, and truly listens to your concerns and responds with kindness and care that improves your condition. If you are looking for an excellent, top-notch neurologist, look no further because Dr. Brizuela will change your life for the better. Thank you, Dr. Brizuela, for helping me on my journey of becoming myself again instead of a shadow of who I used to be.

However, the Dr…read morejust moved to a new office at Keck and we got billed over $2,000 for a 10 min office visit, including a cortisone injection (he's had this done many times at the old office). We've never been charged much for this same thing since we have PPO insurance. Billing is treating it as a hospital visit though this was the Dr office. No one has been able to help us. At the very least, tell us up front that it will cost $$$$$ for the visit. Then we would not have made the appointment! I cannot believe we are being treated this way. Beware!

Dr. Reehal is by far the most humble, compassionate, and caring practitioner I have ever worked with. In our first meeting he had clearly read through my medical details so we could have a productive conversation. He has actively pursued collaboration with several other specialists, visited me in the hospital and ensured that I was receiving adequate care, and he's extremely accessible and communicative. If he says he's going to follow up with me, he does. Nothing falls through the cracks. He genuinely wants to learn from my condition and help me and his concern for my well being is very clear. This is in stark contrast to most experiences I have had with other doctors. It's not only refreshing, but emotional. With the level of physical decline I am experiencing, I would expect to feel hopeless, but Dr. Reehal gives me hope. I would recommend him without reservation.

The WORST office ever…read more On my very first visit as a patient, so many things went wrong that I should have NOT given them the benefit of the doubt. 1. When they weighed me, it was 15lbs off of my regular weight--which I had checked just the previous week. They argued with me and insisted that their scale is right and that I just gained weight...15lbs in the course of a week. It wasn't until later when I was sitting there waiting for the doctor did the "nurse" (more like unqualified office aid) called me in to tell me that the scales be recalibrated and for to me try it again. Surprise, surprise, my weight dropped 13lbs in 10 mins! 2. Then, after my visit, the staff said "bye" to me. I'm like, "Um, is that it? What about my order? What's next?" They had me sit there in the lobby for 20 mins while they waited for the doctor to tell them what to do and then finally got me my blood work order, gave me an appointment and had me leave. 3. When I got my order, I left and was in my car when I get a call from them to tell me to come back and get my prescription because they forgot to give it to me. 4. I go a get my blood work done and WEEKS after my blood work, I'm like am I ever going to hear from that doctor again? I had gotten my lab results and I'm reading them on my own but have no medical help. I CALLED them---several times before a person answered---and they played telephone with the doctor to tell me what my results mean. I asked what would have happened if I didn't call. Would you not have reached out to me? Office works stated that's what the follow up appointments are for, to review results (which I understand), however they gave me a follow up appointment 2.5 months later. If I had something seriously wrong with me, I would have been screwed. On my second visit, over 2 months later, I thought things were going to be better. I was wrong. 1) First things first, I went up to the receptionist said I switch plans for insurance and gave them my new insurance card. They look at it and goes, "oh it's the same" and gave it back to me. I'm like, "No, no, look again, it's different. You'll want to make a new copy of that." That instill such confidence, right? Also, I have to ask them to give me back my insurance card once they make that copy AND ask for my own receipt. 2) I meet the doctor and she wants to chat with me about my blood work....which we did in a game of telephone previously....and but this time she's telling me what concerns her and prescribes something,...something she didn't mention. Great, so you get your patients results, you don't follow up with them yourselves with either a suggested appointment date or a call, and when the patient calls, you give your staff incomplete information to tell them. 3) My purpose of the visit is to get a referral to an OB-GYN due to some serious issues I was having and needed to get checked out sooner rather than later. The doc doesn't do OB-GYN so she needs to give me a referral. Only she said referrals needs to be inputed into the system and the system will mail me the referral in a WEEK or so. Efficiency at it's best, no? 3.5 WEEKS LATER, I call the office 5 times before I get someone to answer and asks where the hell is my referral? I am now more than ever in need of one. I've been checking my mail daily and even checking my insurance website for any info possible. I received nothing and on my insurance website, there's absolutely no record of my visiting the office at all. The office lady says they gave me a referral and it's so and so. I'm like, "how in the world am I supposed to access that information?" She says it was mailed to me and as it turns out THEY MAILED IT TO AN ADDRESS FROM 3+ YEARS AGO that I've changed LONG ago!! Office worker says it's not their fault and I should go figure it out with xyz. I'm just like, "so is this how much care you give your patients?" and gave her a run down of my experience with them thus far. She couldn't be bothered. Her exact words were, "I'm not going to argue with you on the phone now. You need to figure it out." SUCH incompetence (mainly from the front desk staff) and LACK of patient care. Well, I figured it out. I'm changing my PCP and wrote this review to just warn folks who are thinking of going to this TERRIBLE office: do yourself a massive favor and go with someone else. ANYONE else. The headache is just not worth it.

TIP: CASH ONLY…read more Short Version: I came to Dr. Winnie Pang office to have a Rheumatologist to exam my sister's right foot. We appreciated Dr. Pang's professionalism, medical knowledge, & her clear and concise communication paired with compassionate medical bedside manners. Long Version: My first comment concerning the United States (US) health care institution as a whole is in grim at best. While the medical technology, drugs, procedures, training and professionals in the US are state of the art and the best in the world, including the medical professionals themselves will admit there is a considerable disconnect in administering knowledgeable care in concert with an affable medical bedside manners. In her office practice on Garfield Avenue, Monterey Park, California, Dr. Winnie Pang is available with or without an appointment, however, as expected, appointments get first priority and without one, one must understandably wait in chronological order of sign-in for care. Dr. Pang greeted myself and my sister with a genuine concern for her well-being. She was generous with her time for the examination, care to coordinate the subsequent steps in the unknown ailment discovery diagnosis and helped us to schedule a follow-up to review blood test results and EMG results at the earliest date of availability of test results. In my opinion, doctors, or any healthcare providers technical and empiric abilities towards the healing process, have all but lost the concept of what used to be called a medical "bedside manner" Medical prima donna practitioners are, regrettably, plentiful. The rigors of medical schooling of, any given field, conditions each to excel and instills in a sense of individual exceptionalism far in excess of the inherent one that we each are fortunate to have as Americans. Not the case with Dr. Pang, she excels at good medical bedside manners. And I am somewhat a connoisseur of doctors in my lifetime. Being recently married, my wife hits me often -_- Dr. Pang did everything in her ability and leveraged her network to get the answers we needed to make an informed decision of how to best address my sister's ongoing condition. Her present specialty is Rheumatology. I wish she specialized in more fields.
