My husband has been seeing Dr. Reehal for over 10 years for his RA and loves him. However, the Dr…read morejust moved to a new office at Keck and we got billed over $2,000 for a 10 min office visit, including a cortisone injection (he's had this done many times at the old office). We've never been charged much for this same thing since we have PPO insurance. Billing is treating it as a hospital visit though this was the Dr office. No one has been able to help us. At the very least, tell us up front that it will cost $$$$$ for the visit. Then we would not have made the appointment! I cannot believe we are being treated this way. Beware!

I am incredibly grateful that a second opinion referral led me to Dr. Reehal. I have a complex…read moremedical diagnosis that's been difficult to treat. Dr. Reehal is by far the most humble, compassionate, and caring practitioner I have ever worked with. In our first meeting he had clearly read through my medical details so we could have a productive conversation. He has actively pursued collaboration with several other specialists, visited me in the hospital and ensured that I was receiving adequate care, and he's extremely accessible and communicative. If he says he's going to follow up with me, he does. Nothing falls through the cracks. He genuinely wants to learn from my condition and help me and his concern for my well being is very clear. This is in stark contrast to most experiences I have had with other doctors. It's not only refreshing, but emotional. With the level of physical decline I am experiencing, I would expect to feel hopeless, but Dr. Reehal gives me hope. I would recommend him without reservation.

It's Not Easy by the FIVE FOR FIGHTING, and I literally rolled out of bed and began with my yoga stretches and poses. Then I jumped on my WITHINGS BODY CARDIO smart scale and took my reading and then entered my closet and grabbed my 800 gram Turkish Cotton bathrobe (waterworks) and my ugg slippers and navigated myself towards the bathroom and reached inside the shower and turned on the body sprays (2) and the hand shower(1). I continued disrobing and entered the shower and began scrub-bing, and then I grabbed my Sonicare and dollop-ed toothpaste on and began scrub-bing my teeth and tongue Next, I scrub my scalp and turn on my rain shower and rinse. I reach out and grab my bathsheet 800 gram (Water Works) and towel off and then reach for my bathrobe 800gram Turkish Cotton (Water Works) and slip on my slippers (ugg). I enter my bedroom and enter my closet and begin selecting something comfortable but warm for this mornings session of physical therapy with Brian. I thumbed thru my long-sleeved tee's and choose a vintage striped tee in kelly green and royal blue.(polo circa 2012) and then oversized Chino shorts with draw string and button and zipper in weathered navy (polo circa 2010) and my full zip tennis sweat shirt in white and Wimbledon green (polo circa 2009) and my trusty pair of Sperrys in weathered navy. I walk into the kitchen and prepare a cup of hot tea with organic honey and a slice of cinnamon loaf and return to the bedroom, and take my prescriptions. I'm heading to San Gabriel Valley Physical Therapy about 8:20am. and find myself running upstairs towards the studio. This morning, I work with Brian and discover a new sense of recovery. I'm working through my stretches and poses, and then.... oh joy! Traction! I love me some traction ! I place in my ear buds and turn on some instrumentals and close my eyes and began to drift. My session was completed and I head up to the counter and check if my referrals have been sent. Sadly they have yet to be sent and so I thank everyone and I am told that I would be notified and wished well.

Sure this place is a little older and run down compared to other facilities I have been to, but…read moreafter several appointments with 2 different therapists, I found that they had decent service and I decided I would continue my care here since the location is also convenient. Today, everything changed. I had an appointment with another therapist, Ivy. When I arrived to my appointment there were two other patients in the lobby. One of the patients asked the receptionist to use the restroom and proceeded to go inside. Ivy came out and called that patient's name. Since the receptionist had stepped away, I informed her that he had stepped into the restroom. The patient came back out into the lobby, and I told him that they had called his name. He proceeded inside and told Ivy his name. Coldly, she said I have other patients here and proceeded to ignore him. He expressed how he had just stepped away to use the restroom there in their facility and had let the receptionist know. She essentially had a 'you snooze, you lose' response. This is no way to treat anyone, let alone someone older. She then called my name but before I could even offer that the patient go ahead of me, he asked to cancel his appointment and walked out - rightfully so. I proceeded to follow Ivy inside. Boy, was that a mistake. She had a terrible bedside manner and was incredibly rude. 1 to 2 minutes into the appointment, I told her I was also leaving and proceeded to walk out. No one should be treated like this especially by someone who claims to be a healthcare professional. Having worked for healthcare facilities in the past, what providers tend to forget is that patients do have a choice about where they receive their care. I asked that the receptionist see to it that none of my future appointments be with Ivy. But after witnessing and experiencing such terrible service and blatant disrespect, I choose to no longer be a patient here and will look for another facility to go to. Today, Ivy exhibited inexcusable behavior including disrespect towards an elderly patient, zero interpersonal skills, and a total lack of empathy for those that are there for PT and are very likely in physical pain. Common courtesy and decency went out the window. Ivy's behavior was completely unacceptable and she has no business working in patient care. As a result, this place will no longer call me their patient. I cannot in good conscience support a business that employs someone like this. ____________________________________ Update: I received a text message from the receptionist and asked that the office manager please call me. Scott, the office manager and I spoke about the situation. I can say that he expressed genuine concern and understood that the situation could be handled differently. Although, I personally won't be returning, at least I know that the other patient will be in good hands with him. Scott: Wholeheartedly, I want to thank you for calling the other patient and speaking to him to rectify the situation. Thank you for attending to this matter with such care and for keeping me updated. I genuinely appreciate that you took the time to speak with me earlier and will be addressing this with the therapist.
