Ordered a plain regular Oolong Tea, unsweetened and no ice for $5.95 plus 1.00 tip. I was expecting this small cup to fill up but I was disappointing. Some Bobba places that I've been to always fill the cup with tea but not this place.

Strawberry Condensed Milk Smoothie (regular size), lychee smoothie

I didn't have high expectations of boba coming to Reno, but I was disappointed in the quality of the drinks here, especially for a national chain like Ding Tea. I've had other locations in California, but this location just seemed to have poor quality and confusing new drinks that deviated from the Ding Tea drinks I'm used to. We ordered the strawberry condensed milk smoothie and thought it tasted dimensionless and artificial, while the lychee smoothie was completely flavorless and looked/tasted just like ice. Popcorn chicken was decent, but contained a lot of small fried pieces without much meat. Overall, would recommend just stopping by Starbucks or a smoothie shop if you just want a refreshing sweet beverage.

I like their variety of drinks here and how they offer small bites. They were a bit pricier than what I'm used to paying for boba or milk tea. My kids are obsessed. Since we were already next door at Port of Subs, we stopped so they could get their fix. Service was friendly and fairly quick, but we were the only ones in the store besides another patron we saw enter the restroom when we arrived. Small counter inside, but not really anywhere to wait when it's busy. I would give them another try if we're nearby again.

Creme Brulee Monster Boba

I tried Ding Tea over 3 years ago and ordered a Matcha Milk Tea with boba. It was watered down, had too much ice, and no matcha flavor. The prices for a regular and large was more expensive than all the other boba places in town so I never went back after that time. After so many years, I decided to come back and try their drinks again. This time we ordered the Crème Brûlée Monster Boba and Matcha Milk Tea with boba. The Crème Brûlée was too sweet for my taste, but it wasn't bad. The Matcha Milk Tea was great! It had a good matcha flavor and was not overly sweet. The boba is on the softer side though most likely being overcooked. Both drinks are still more expensive than other boba shops, but the drinks are improved from the first time I tried them. There is an iPad inside for self ordering, but it is faster to order at the counter. The staff were quick in preparing the drinks. The area is not very large, but there are tables and a cute bench with a background for Instagram pictures. I will probably come back and try the other flavors.

Hakkaido Black milk Tea

It's a cute little spot, but not sure I'd come back. My hakkaido bmt was good, but too sweet, so I should have asked for light sweetener. My boyfriend's passion fruit yakult slushie was not good. It wasn't even too hot outside today; but the drink immediately separated and had no flavor really. It just tasted like sugar, yogurt, and ice to me. He said he didn't even taste the yakult part. Overall I was somewhat satisfied with my drink, but his drink we ended up throwing away. And I only drank half of mine.

Strawberry Green Tea Hokkaido Coffee Mango Green Tea

The drinks were alright, but I wouldn't recommend the green tea ones--they just didn't taste great. They were out of golden boba, and the girl at the counter wasn't very helpful when I had questions. Kinda disappointed.

Thai tea Honestly it's always a hit or miss with this place. The amount of times i gave this spot so many tries, there is always something wrong with my order. I simply just get a Thai tea with golden Boba, but the Thai tea doesn't taste sweet it taste very bitter and I had asked on of the baristas that it doesn't taste sweet and it's too light and all she literally did was darken the color of the drink.... not ok

Ding tea is now in my top five. Super fresh and flavorful that always hits the spot. They do a perfect blend various teas and topping. It's a small establishment and I would recommend you take your drinks and food to go. Finding Ding Tea easy and parking is a breeze. Easy in Easy out. If your in the mood for boba tea come here and see for yourself.

Korean corndog

I love coming here staff is always friendly and the food is delicious but just two days ago I went in and the worker was rude I ordered three items one being a Korean corndog which is advertised on the menu to come with spicy mayo but that day it didn't have any it also came with all the other sauces I never asked for I tried to ask for the mayo sauce and was told it would be an extra charge. Totally not worth the price it was half the size it always comes out to.(4 PICTURE IS THE WAY IT ALWAYS COMES OUT TO)

Glad to see another great boba tea place in town! They have great selections and also Taiwanese snacks. I really like the special drinks!

Ding! Tea is done! Wow. Just WOW! A review is worth a thousand words and impressions but all I can say in this one is WOOOOOOOOW!!!! There are many shops you can get tea from and several have boba as well. Come to think of it, maybe I need to come up with a concoction that can be truly named the Boba Fett!!! And I think I may have found the way based on menu choices. The flavors are strong - be ready for that. But it's not so overwhelming you won't appreciate it. Delivery comes fast and safely transported. The cups are sealed until you blast through it with the straw in your favorite location. Definitely give this place a shot - a definite return very soon - GrubHub will love this year in review!

Stopped here on our way for a hiking trip and got some boba drinks and snacks - just average IMO- nothing special about the drinks or food, makes me miss boba in CA Pros- customer service - I do have to say the girl who helped us was very sweet and patient so I have to give her some kudos, we prob spent like 3 whole minutes ordering and asking questions - she never once got impatient so thank u

The boba here is sometimes hard which makes it slightly harder to enjoy. However their Thai and Yakut are my two favorite drinks!

Ding Tea Reno Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Ding Tea Reno

Is real milk an option for the milk teas, or is there only non-dairy choices?

We only use non-dairy for our milk teas. Lattes are the only drinks that have real milk.

Can you choose sweetness and ice level? I don't like my drinks that sweet. When I went last week they didn't ask me about sweetness level and the drink was super sweet.

Yes, you can choose ice and sweetness level.

Do they offer milk alternatives?

Yes

I glanced at yelp to see what the rating was and it was high so we ordered. It's somewhat my fault, I should have gone through the reviews on yelp which are mostly positive because of the ice cream- not the food. Hot dogs - Costco beef hot dogs in soggy bun. Go directly to Costco and get it for $1.50 instead. Grilled cheese- I realize we ordered takeout but this is the soggiest grilled cheese I've ever eaten. The cheese was rubber and the bread was like wet cardboard. Hamburgers- the patties were mid. Hard to tell if they were Costco beef patties but they probably were. They were also soggy and smothered in a watery copy of McD Big Mac sauce. Fries- ordered crispy and got frozen fries from a bag that were super soggy. Chili cheese fries- same as the fries above but added canned chili and canned cheese. Onion rings- previously frozen maybe Oneida onion rings from a bag. Cheaper to buy and make yourself. Corn dog- my daughter liked it but she likes the corn dogs that come in the freezer section at Safeway which this is exactly like. To sum it up- if you're getting any food, I'd go elsewhere. I'm sure the ice cream is good though given the other reviews. Maybe in person the French fries wouldn't be so soggy they disintegrate in your hands. The food was gross and overpriced for being what it was - resold frozen food items and Costco hot dogs. I thought this was like old school drive in diner food but it's not. Super disappointed as I ended up not eating any of it because it was just gross. Again, partially my fault for not reading the reviews on yelp and not just see a good rating and assume the food would be ok.
