Found this little gem by using Yelp while traveling with my daughter and grandson. My grandson is Gluten Free and it can be challenging finding a place that offers gluten free pancakes... we were so happy to find this! Our waitress, Casey, could not have been nicer ... and is a big reason I give 5 stars. The food was good, but good service and a friendly face is really priceless. They were very busy while we were there but we enjoyed the diner ambiance that was a mix of old time diner with some modern updates. Check them out.

Turkey platter no gravy (I just don't like gravy).

What a wonderful little place. We fortunately got there at a good time, so there was no delay in being seated. I ordered the Turkey platter (turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans) And my niece ordered the lasagna with salad. We both loved our dishes. Neither of of us could finish them. Since I had a microwave and refrigerator I took home 2/3 of my meal, had a second meal so far and there's a third one coming - talk about excellent portions. Salads were crisp and my leftovers tasted just as good the second time as the original time. I was so enamored with the stuffing. I ordered a side of stuffing to go to make it a dessert or just an extra meal in the ensuing days. We'll definitely come here again if on the road this way!

Tex-Mex Breakfast Wrap w/ eggs, chipotle skirt steak, jalapeño, cheddar, onions, & refried beans.

We typically go out for breakfast after a several day fast required prior to a certain medical procedure. With the procedure being performed in the afternoon this year it was necessary that we find a location still serving breakfast at 2:30PM. Where else but a diner? I suggested DinerTime since we had never been there but have constantly driven by it for about nine years. It was not very busy on a Wednesday mid-afternoon, so we were immediately seated by the hostess in a booth. It being a sunny afternoon, it was bright inside and everywhere looked clean and well kept. Our server promptly arrived with glasses of water, menus, and the anticipated question of our choice of beverage. We requested coffee ($2.75/cup with refills offered). As we let our hot cups of coffee cool a bit, we perused the breakfast offerings taking up one entire side of the large menu. My wife chose the DT Combo ($16.50), a choice of pancakes, French toast, or waffle with two eggs, bacon, sausage link, home fries, and toast. She selected French toast and over-easy eggs. The two slices of French toast were nicely prepared (even though they were not the typical Challah) with a sprinkle of confectioners' sugar, and the eggs had the desired runniness to allow the dipping of the French toast and requested rye toast. The fat looking sausage link was tasty, and the two slices of bacon were closing in on crispy. The home fries were excellent - hot, tender slices with some crispy bits. I decided to try the Tex-Mex Breakfast Wrap ($15.75). The flour tortilla was stuffed with two scrambled eggs, chipotle seasoned skirt steak, jalapeños, onions, cheddar cheese, and refried beans. It too, was served with a side of home fries. While the rolled tortilla with beautiful grill marks was compact looking, it was packed with the aforementioned ingredients and very flavorful. This was definitely a hearty meal. The pieces of skirt steak were plentiful, tender, and tasty. The jalapeño flavor was apparent yet not overly spicy. As already noted in my wife's comments, the home fries were excellent. I can see us returning, if not again for breakfast, then to sample some of the other side of the menu. Service was friendly, polite, and efficient.

Fantastic go-to diner any day. Come in group, a pair, alone - it doesn't matter: food is great. Soups rotate. Fine wines, beer. Has juices, soda, shakes. Very good for dinner late in the day - as the outside is nice and brightly lit up! It's always DinerTime! Review: 5

Mac and cheese with pulled pork and corn

A quintessential diner! Super busy but somehow still seated within 5 minutes. Clean and a very pleasant waiter. Menu is so huge, I had trouble picking. My kids had the chicken fingers with applesauce and the other chose the salmon. Love that they offer kids healthy choices! I had the Mac and cheese with pulled pork and corn. Not the best I've ever had but huge portion and considering I'm eating at a diner, it was just what I was looking for. My husband had breakfast meal with hash and home fries and finished it. Will absolutely return!

This Chocolate Fudge Cake is heaven on a plate.

Food was delicious. Delivered on time. The fried chicken basket was a hit once again! The chicken was super good and crispy.

When we got to the diner the parking lot was packed, we expected our wait to be awhile but didn't mind. The hostess gave us a beeper and said about 10 minutes, it was more like 2. We ordered and our food was out in less than 10 minutes. The eggs Benedict and homefries were delicious. The english muffin seemed homemade and the hashbrowns were seasoned beautifully. We had a great meal! Thank you!

First time here. Food/Drink: Entrees were pretty good, everything tasted decent. Bread and Apps: plenty of options I didn't order any. Dinning Area: Pretty large, and cozy. A little drafty. Prices: Relatively cheap. Entree, sides and a drink I got away for $17. Parking: Plenty of space, private lot. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and larger in size. Atmosphere: During the weekend Dinner rush, pretty busy, but not unmanageable. I did not wait long. Staff/Attendants: Staff overall was Great, family owned and operated I presume. Extremely authentic, traditional diner. Good experience! 8/10

Me and my cousin enjoyed this mega waffle as dessert. Highly recommended.

I've been coming to 76 Diner for years, going back to my college days, and while I don't get over to that part of Latham as often anymore, I still make it a point to stop in a few times each year. I will say a while ago they changed their menus. I used to enjoy the older version with some information about the presidents of the United States. Probably silly of me but I enjoyed reading that and it went along with the '76 name. I'd like to see something similar to that come back on future menus. It's a large place, so there's rarely much of a wait, if any, and the parking lot is big enough that finding a spot is never an issue. On this visit, we were seated quickly, greeted promptly, and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Any time I've been here it's always nice and clean. This time was no exception. Any time I've been in the restroom, it has always been clean as well. The service stood out, our waitress checked in several times to make sure everything was good and see if we needed anything else without being overbearing. Everything we ordered tasted great, and the desserts were just as good. This has been a reliable spot for me for a long time, and this visit was no different. 5 stars

Yes, we've been doing this for over fifty years, and once again we were satisfied with our meal as we departed satiated. I ordered the Big Breakfast ($13.49) comprised of two pancakes (instead of one French toast), two eggs, and bacon (instead of either sausage or ham). That's quite reasonable since we paid $9.99 ten years ago. I did opt to add an order of home fries on this visit for an additional 35 cents. My wife decided to have a Create Your Own Omelet ($10.99) with cheddar cheese and spinach (plus an additional 35 cents for that second item in the omelet), served with home fries and toast. Bottomless cup of coffee is $3.99. The pancakes were large and very light and fluffy considering how thick they were. I would have liked them to have been served hotter, which, coincidentally, is what my wife also said about her omelet. But the pancakes were tasty and satisfying. The hashbrowns were a good mix of some soft and some crispy potatoes. The over easy eggs I ordered came out perfect and the bacon was crispy the way I like it. Overall, a pleasant meal that we didn't have to cook at home. Our server was very welcoming and friendly.

There is limited parking on the premises but always parking on the street if you don't mind some walking. The slightly rustic, lodge type of interior matches the friendly vibes as well as the interesting drink selections, including a side menu filled with signature coffee whiskey cocktails! Their tipsy cocktails and beer menu is also quite attractive. My group and I were able to walk in on a weekend evening for dinner with no wait and while it was packed inside, it still felt roomy enough. However, the surrounding tables were rowdy and the noise was reverberating. Our server was attentive though she did admit it was busy and the wait time for orders would take a bit longer than usual. The menu has plenty of starters that are highly shareable, poutine, salads, soups, mac and cheese, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, wraps, and quesadillas. Haven't had real poutine in ages so I decided to try their gravy fries with smoked cheese curds and added bacon. It was a good portion for the price ($15+) and came out hot on a cast iron skillet. The cheese curds weren't the type I expected and melted down too much, and did not have that squeaky cheese bite one would want in poutine. The gravy and the bacon worked well with the fries though! The smoked brisket French onion soup ($8+) was extremely hot when it first came out and I had to let it cool down before taking a spoonful. The cheese was so bubbly and delicious and the soup itself was flavorful (maybe a tad too salty), and had a balanced amount of onions and brisket. I would definitely get the soup again. Their barbecue pulled pork quesadilla ($15+) was also a bit too salty and meat was more tough than preferred. We also tried two of their mac and cheese selections, which came in a small cast iron pot each ($17+). The bacon chicken ranch mac and cheese was good but the jerk chicken mac and cheese was not as memorable (not much jerk flavor). Kudos for having a build-your-own mac and cheese option as well as a mac and cheese flight if you want to try more than one flavor. I'm glad to return to try other menu items at this tap and tavern and see what else catches my eye. While this visit wasn't spectacular, it also wasn't bad. The French onion soup is one thing I know I'd get over and over again. Oh, they also have a credit card transaction fee that you will see once you get the bill. Pay in cash if you mind said fee.

How about telling us you are out of raspberries and asking if we want something else. My girlfriend can't really eat strawberries since they make her break out. Even worse is I STILL didn't have my food. Server said, "yours is coming, but I didn't want these to get cold." After the rest of my party was halfway done with their breakfast and I still didn't have mine, I asked for a manager. I was told there is no manager there...another load of BS.
