The two cakes I ordered, Chocolate and the signature Pistachio, looked and tasted like nothing I could ever make. I am no dessert chef. My guests didn't even ask if I'd made the two cakes, but rather, where did I order them from? Pesteh's cakes taste every bit as remarkable as the look of their decorations. The chocolate cake had a pronounced chocolate, rather than merely sugary, taste. The pistachio cake sang with bright color and pistachio flavour. Wow. Just, wow. Not only did Pesteh provide us with cakes to show with pride, but also, the thoughtful owners gave us instructions on how to carefully store leftovers. Not that there were any leftovers. I first sent a DM by Facebook and when I didn't get a response, I called the Ajax location. The person who answered told me to call back in few hours when the owner was in to see if they could accommodate my order and delivery (which I found kind of odd since you either deliver or you don't). I tried calling back to no answer. A few more hours go by and I received a response to my DM! It was possible to order a 10 cupcake bouquet and deliver to my sister. I paid for everything via EMT and the very next morning, my sister got her lovely bouquet! We ended up seeing my sister later that day so we all got to try the cupcake bouquet. It was beautifully decorated and the icing was not too sweet. I got 5 vanilla and 5 chocolate cupcakes. The cupcakes were very moist and fresh. Aside from the initial communication snafu, I would gladly order from Bun King again for future occasions. I just hope they step up their online ordering delivery game for seamless ordering.
