Very yummy éclairs glazed in black chocolate. About 5.95 CAD per piece. Large. Not too sweet. Just perfect! They also offer tiny bite-sized cream puffs. Those were good too. I am also interested in their cookies and cakes. While I was there, a man brought out 3 identical-looking cakes. They all looked great! And the atmosphere here is quite pleasant. I'd gladly sit there for a cup of tea. read more

Papas Pastry was 100000/10. I mean to start Papa himself was God sent such a sweet soul and made me feel like I've known him my whole life. It was weird. But genuinely on our vacation we came back everyday. Although I must admit the cream puffs are better fresh than the next day keep that in mind for traveling purposes. Ambiance is so cute and precious and bright and pretty. Thank you for your hospitality from Illinois read more

Horrible liars. Pastry's taste horrible all are stale. And I pre ordered a birthday cake based off one I saw on display when I come to pick up a week later they hand me the cake from a week ago that I went off of originally. When I said it's wrong this is the same cake I was told no no it's fresh(bold lie). And ask for more raspberry's as my request was for the top to be covered, they edited and added 4 raspberry's saying it's all we have. I'm in disbelief with the care they have read more

First time here and everything is delicious. The first floor has a huge array of incredible sweets from cakes to cookies. The baklava cake is moist and incredible. Lotus cake is light and has a caramel drizzle. There are countless pistachio options to try next time. Latte and black tea with spices were a great accompaniment. Upstairs seating area is great to have a tea catchup with friends while enjoying sweet treats. Service friendly and I am sure to come back! read more

It's hard not to compare Papa Cafe to the nearby BB Cafe, and frankly, you can't go wrong with either: - Papa has a greater variety of cookies/pastries (which are a bit more on the sweet side), with the standout being the walnut cookie. - Papa has the better napoleon (cream is amazing) and lafika (cheating a bit here as it eschews the traditional one and uses its walnut cookie), but doesn't offer icecream and as many desserts. - Both have nice 2nd floor seating areas, though Papa uses it for an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet on the weekend. - Both have friendly service and offer a lot of free taste tests, though Papa's was a bit more frenzied/hurried. - Both are good value-for-money takeaways (we left with a box full of treats). If you're in the area, you can't go wrong with either Papa Cafe or BB Cafe. Try them and I'm pretty sure you'll both. read more

I love this place. -Instagrammable -smells good -super friendly -good variety -delicious cakes -no seriously have I mentioned that I don't know anything about Persian tea or pastry and the lovely woman behind the counter made sure I had an awesome experience -actually very reasonably priced The parking situation kinda sucks but that's the worst thing I can say. TTC is actually very convenient to get here. read more

We drove by the plaza and were instantly drawn by the amount of people in Papa Pastry & Café at 9:00 PM at night. Many of the patrons were having tea with trays and trays of pastries in this enchanting café! Amir, the owner makes you feel at home. This is one of the most generous café, I have ever had the pleasure of being in. The pastries on the tables are complimentary for customers. You can enjoy a cup of tea in a pink tea set with traditional Persian baked goods. As someone who is inexperienced with Persian cuisine, I have no idea as to what any pastries in the store were. Amir's response to all my inquires was, "just try it". In additional to the selection baked goods and pastries available for sampling by the cashier, the staff was kind and offered us samples of the items we wanted to try from the display. This is a wonderful environment to enjoy a relaxing evening with loved ones. It is no wonder that Papa was busy late in the evening! Can't wait to try the cakes at Papa's in our next visit! Note: If you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, this is the place to be! There is a surprisingly large number of gluten free options including Naan e Berenji (Rice flour with rose water cookie), Nan-e Nokhodchi (chickpea flour cookie, with similar texture to shortbread cookies), and Nan Gerrdoie (egg white with ground walnut flour cookies) to name a few. read more

6 inch Pistachio Cake The yummiest creamiest Pistachio cake I had ever had in my life! Just the right amount of sweetness. The icing is somehow made of buttercream? and not the sugar loaded kind. Perfect with your warm tea I would highly recommend this one from this Pastry/Bakery shop! read more

Nice little place in north York, they have some good Persian pastry and sweets' selection, Customer service is good, they're welcoming and friendly. The seating area upstairs is big and spacious, very bright with windows everywhere, and it's usually not that busy during the day, but gets busy on weekends. Parking is a major issue, schedule yourself a minimum of 15 minutes to find a parking space! But good sweets, I will go back to try their cakes soon read more

I don't know how anyone could give less than a 5 star review to this gem of a pastry shop. exquisite pastries, unbelievable quality and they are open every day. as far as Persian pastries in Toronto go, this is the best hands down. read more

When a man in a suit welcomes you at the door and offers you a variety of pastry samples from a multi tiered tray like you see at high tea, you know you're in the right place. Pricing isn't evident, but service is pretty good. They have a lot of gorgeous sweets to choose from and very few descriptions for those unfamiliar with Persian sweets. I ended up getting 5 of the tarts filled with syrupy nuts. Upon bringing them home, I discovered they were more syrupy than I had expected, because the syrup and the nuts had spilled out of the tarts. I have no idea whether that's supposed to happen or not. Still tasty though, but it's hard to go wrong with nuts. I used the Yelp check-in offer, which was supposed to entitle me to two free pastries. Instead, they just told me they deducted $2 off my total. Um...that's not quite what that check in offer means. Someone should sort that out. read more

That place is a bit weird. I'm not talking about food. Staff is really friendly, they gave us to try a lot of stuff and all was good. I'd say sweets are a bit too sweet, but that didn't bother me. They make pretty good latte in really nice cups. I mean GOOD latte since they don't drown it in sugar like starbucks. The weir part was the interior. It's just too pink. I don't know who came up with that idea when they were decorating the place. I'd go again if I'm in the area. read more

Been here twice both times the Danish pastries were old and dry. For what they charge which is so expensive the quality is extremely poor. Don't waist your money at this place. read more

This location is near where I live and I always pass by it but never had the one to go just until recently and they have a wide variety of Persian desserts. The workers are very friendly patient and helpful when I asked about their best sellers and flavours of a variety of pastries. my favorite would probably be the baclava but the others didn't really fit to my taste. There is also a small section where you can sit and converse while having tea and desserts. read more

These people have decided to significantly increase the price of the products used in typical mourning gatherings as soon as they heard there will be vigils held across the city for the people who last their lives in PS752 crashing. There are many better options that are superior in terms of quality and are also run by people who still have some decency left. Unlike these people. read more

Love the selection. Must try the cake rolls. Wish there was better seating to accommodate a bigger group. Heard they are renovating the upper level for more seating so that should take care of that. Great selection of desserts to satisfy whatever your flavor. read more

Stale pastry and broken teacup glass meant I couldn't eat, and my tea ended on the table as the cup had cracks. Complained, didn't eat or drink anything. Yet was forced to pay! Paid and left. Definitely my go-to bakery since coming to the area. The lady behind the counter says everything is made in house. Haven't had anything here I didn't like and I've been a few times. Prices are outrageously affordable. Last weekend for Mother's Day I picked up 2 napoleons, 2 roll cakes, and about 20 assorted cookies for $15. Ok so everything is delicious, that we've established, but the service is also phenomenal! Every time I ask about a cookie they give me one to try! And if they know what I'm buying is a gift they attach a bow to the top of the box on their own initiative. Also, a couple of times they've given me a free reusable bag that matches their bright pink decor -- so fun! The service makes a big difference. They also have a large variety and I just don't have anything bad to say about the place. FYI the seating inside is a bit limited, but you can eat in and have tea, and they go all out with the tea service to make it extra special. read more

Came here while I waiting for my car at the Mazda dealership next door. Just wanted a place to kill time and have a coffee. The place is very pink! Threw me off. The staff was super friendly and made me feel warm right away though. I can see a lot of sweets on display here but I'm not a sweet tooth, so I just got myself a coffee. Enjoyed the coffee (americano to be precise) and the it came in a very stylish cup. Very strong flavour. Once again customee service was great. read more

Been to this place twice and disappointed every time. Their pirashki was nothing like what it should be, but rather something made up. Their cookies had no taste or flavour at all and their roasted sunflower seeds were extremely old. BB pastries in the same plaza are much better. read more

The bakery has a large selection. Their pastries have consistently been fresh however their walnut cooks have become thicker.

Beware no price list!!! There is no price list to this place, you have to ask for every single thing you are ordering. Hence there is no menu. I even had to ask if they make teas and coffee. So I just gave up asking for what the prices were because even the answers I got were rough estimates, and just ordered. To me usually places that don't have prices, they make up prices on the spot based on who you are. How is a customer suppose to trust you? So whatever, I would rather go somewhere where there is a menu, quick scan, order and sit than trying to figure out the freaking menu. The ordering process just made me too uncomfortable. I would have given not even a star because of this experience, but the deserts were ok similar quality like the other persian pastries around. read more
