    Halva cake
    Janice Y.

I recently discovered this lovely cake counter inside Promenade Mall. They mentioned they had just opened about a week ago. They serve custom cakes, mini cakes, coffee at quite a reasonable price. It looks like they also have crepes and hamantaschen, which is a Jewish pocket pastry on their website too. The cakes are such an eye candy, unique and beautifully presented. I chose the Halva cake; from research online, it originated in the Middle East, Persia? Not a flavour profile I'm used to, but I enjoyed it. It's smooth, not too sweet, and under $6--a perfect little treat to share between two with a coffee and not to decadent to have all on your own either. I highly recommend you try this place and they could even give neighbouring cake shops a run for their money.

I recently visited this beautiful pastry shop in the Promenade Mall - Thornhill area. The pastry and cake display is beautiful with so many delicious choices of pastries and baked goods to choose from. I loved all of my choices and I especially love the cheesecake. It is so light and fluffy, the texture and flavors are so mouth watering. We also had some mousse desserts that were spectacular as well and some sweet croissants that's leave you wanting to eat more and more.. Cake It Toronto is amazing. They have delicious coffees and lattes as well as custom cake orders. Will be back again to try more pastries!

Sample bit of their sushi cake filled with mousse, it was out if this world, custom printed latte and raspberry croissant so tasty

My favourite though, has to be the classic, butter croissant. I picked up a strawberry short cake for a family dinner, and oh my gosh, it was so yummy. The cake was made out of layers of chiffon cake (super light and airy) and a delicious whipped cream with strawberries pieces nestled between the layers. I've only done take out there, but they do have a small area with seating, including space outdoors for warmer months. The service is good, staff are friendly and efficient. Even if there's a line, you're not really waiting that long. The location is easy to get to from Finch Station, but if you're traveling by car, parking may be a bit tough to find, though there is street parking and a paid lot a couple blocks further north by the TTC lot.

The space is not big but there some limited seating. The display cases are at the far end of the store and if there is a lineup it will be hard to see what is available unless you get closer to the cash area and if this is your first time here and don't know what is available it might take a bit to decide. The coveted Dubai Chewy cookie sits next to the cash area. You can get a box of 4 or singles. We got a box of 4, with tax....just over 27 bucks. Was it worth it? I would say YES! The coating was soft and chewy with a generous amount of filling with the kataifi giving a nice crunch. This is definitely a treat.

A collection of cheesecake slices, custard tarts and pastries were available for pick up. The staff was courteous and has a self service concept. For dine ins - a minimum of 8$ per person order is essential, so be mindful of this criteria else you can surely opt for take aways! Mango crepe- amazing portions and the crepe was exceptionally soft. The consistency was perfect coupled with fresh sponge cake and mango bits. The STAR was the ice cream- flavours which felt authentic and a much needed change from the artificial coloured mango based ice creams widely available. TOTALLY WORTH YOUR BUCKS! Just a suggestion the main entrance is just opposite the cashier making it congested at the area, crumpling the space.

The only reason for the 4 star review is that the ambiance is lacking and far more of a takeout place than a sit down, with plastic cutlery being used for dine-in. You put your order in through a QR code so don't have much to say about service but the food and drinks did come out quickly. That being said, I'd definitely come back here in a heartbeat.

The only odd thing is the outlet situation--it's a bit chaotic--so it's not exactly the best spot if you're planning to camp there with a laptop and pretend to be productive. On that first visit, I ordered the rice dacquoise and, to be honest, it kind of spooked me. I think I was expecting something like a macaron with whipped cream in the middle, but it was much lighter and softer than that. My brain didn't quite know how to process it. A few months later, I ended up coming back because I desperately needed a late evening coffee and the nearby Togo Coffee was closed. And wow, Luna Bakery makes excellent espresso drinks & I was not expecting that. The latte was incredibly creamy, nutty, and subtly sweet, with all that sweetness coming naturally from the perfectly roasted beans. Every sip felt like a small trip to caffeine paradise. I also gave the rice dacquoise another shot - this time the strawberry one - and suddenly it made sense lol. Light, slightly fruity, a little tangy, and perfect with the coffee. Now I enjoy coming back - partly for the coffee, and partly because my taste buds have finally learned to appreciate the rice pastries instead of being spooked by them. Service is always friendly - they never judge you for trying way too many free rice bakery samples. Bless.

I thought, must be good, so I'd thought I'd check it out :) Drinks- ordered the Seoul Iced Latte, it was a condensed milk latte, perfect balance between sweet and coffee forward balanced iced latte. I'm a huge fan of Korean rice cakes, and thought this was a great fresh, unique injeolmi. Not too sweet, tossed in black sesame, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and was enough to share and more! Service ~ fast, friendly, efficient. Exactly what a cute, busy, coffee shop needs. There is outdoor seating, limited. Pay for parking on streets or side streets.

Located on the 2nd floor at Yonge and Finch, Cafe n One is a bright, cute cafe serving Japanese inspired brunch items, drinks, pastas and desserts. . . Classic Breakfast 4/5 Chicken Karaage 3/5 Croffles 5/5 Green Tea Soufflé Pancake 4.3/5 Latte 4.8/5 . . We arrived around 10 minutes after open and there were already a handful of people seated. The drinks and food came out pretty quickly except the soufflé pancakes which takes 25minutes to prepare. My favourite was the croffle. For $10, you get 2 big pieces of croffle which tastes great with either whipped cream or syrup. The chicken karaage was kind of dry on its own, but dipping it in the syrup and eating it with the croffle made it better. If you want a hearty breakfast, the classic breakfast is a solid choice. The soufflé pancake was fluffy and delicious, well worth the wait. I was amazed by the detailed latte art as well. Highly recommend this cafe!

We happened to drop by the day of the massive Iranian protest, and were surprised by how much business it had, and also how soundproof the windows were. - Classic breakfast: lots of food! Pork belly was especially nice -- rich as crispy. - Karaage honey hot cake: Quite a bit of food too, hot fried chicken can't go wrong! - Ice Americano - Iced houjicha latte: didn't really get much houjicha flavour. Prices were reasonable for brunch in the area. The service was fast and efficient, and with a smile. There were a lot of customers that day, and we felt the indoor noise level was a bit loud to have a comfortable conversation. Still... We'd love to come back and try more of the menu.
