The last time I had Dimo's they were still at their Wicker Park location, which I admittedly miss! This new location in Logan Square is spacious, has a great aesthetic, is located right off the blue line, and serves delicious slices of pizza. Whether you stop by during the day or late-at-night, Dimo's always satisfies. This time around, my sister and I each ordered a large slice of pepperoni and it was DELICIOUS. Dimo's has three stores in Chicago, this one opened not far from us a few months ago. They have a lot of specialty pies available, all with cutesy names. On the left is the Pep 2.0, the right is the Mary Wilson. (leftovers, obviously) Pep 2.0 is Ezzo pepperoni and whipped ricotta on a marinara and mozzarella base, topped with parmesan, fresh basil and orange habanero honey. Seriously lacking in pepperoni but the ricotta creamed redeemed it somewhat. Didn't taste any of the honey. Mary Wilson was bell peppers, red onions, mushrooms, olives, and hot cherry peppers on a marinara and mozzarella base. The hot peppers dominated the flavor profile, but in a good way. Both pies suffered from a tough, chewy crust that didn't contribute much flavor. We even had to finish cutting the slices because their cutter didn't make it all the way through. I want to start off by saying, I am a loyal Dimo's customer. I have been patronizing this establishment for years at all of their locations. This location right here is the one. Formerly their wicker park location now in a new space. The space offers a better atmosphere, and the slices hit just as hard. If you are considering going to Dimo's go to this location. You can't go wrong all off their slices are phenomenal. I will now tier rank their locations as I've attended all several times. #1 Logan Square: simply can't be beat. The slices are top notch #2 Wrigley: not a great atmosphere, great for late night eats, slices great, but not excellent. #3 Lincoln Square: atmosphere okay, slices sub par. I'm not sure what it is with this location, but the slices never taste fresh and always taste slightly freezer burnt. read more

Great pizza by the slice location. Really enjoy all the specialty slices. Just seeing the display of all the fun and interesting pizzas had me excited to try as many slices as i could. Also the layout of the place itself fit well with the concept. Chicken parm Light on flavor was expecting more of a "punch" or wow factor since visually the slice looked promising. Pepperoni Little hit of sweetness from the honey is nice. I feel like the hot honey is the hip new thing on pizza and because it's good. Some of you purists from certain states or countries may scoff at some of the eccentric flavors at dimos, but to assuage all fears they have their basics absolutely down. Buffalo chicken - star of the show. I'm a fan of everything on this pizza, from the obviously buffalo sauce to the chicken to the blue cheese. Crust is thin and not a mouthful to get through. I've been looking for a good vegan pizza since my lactose intolerance has gotten bad enough that real-cheese pizza is just way too painful. Dimo's vegan pizza hits the spot when I really want pizza. I kept it classic with a vegan cheese and regular pepperoni, and the flavor was awesome. Most vegan cheese just disintegrates into sad, mushy/liquidy nothing, but Dimo's doesn't. It's still fake cheese, and its hard to get something that compares to the real thing (hence 4 stars), but it's as close as I've found so far in flavor and texture from any pizza place in the city! Dimo's is a small local chain, including this Damen Avenue location which is open later than most places around it. It has pizza by the slice or whole. It's pizza, but a few toppings are unlike anything you've had. They even have many that are vegan. It's about $16 for a personal. This is big enough that a couple people could be satisfied. For sure it's not cheap, but it's better than expected. Most recently we got the Vegan Mac. It was like putting macaroni and cheese on a pizza, which seemed odd but good. This was topped with cheese and macaroni noodles. Cheese was plant based cheddar and mozzarella. This was melty like real like cheese and there was a lot, which must cost them a lot, so no wonder why it's as pricy. For more food options, they also have garlic bread.
