He painted the exterior of my house about 5 years ago and I just recently had him and his team paint several interior rooms of my house. It required a lot of prep and attention to detail as I have picture framed walls with faux gold leaf that could not be taped over. I've gotten lots of compliments on how good the paint job looks. Dimension Painting recently repainted a large two-storey exterior for us. At each stage of the project we were impressed by the professionalism of the owner, Carlos Santana. It started at our initial appointment with how carefully he listened to our priorities. He provided a detailed quote soon after and patiently responded to many follow-up questions about the prep process, types of paint, and a request for proof of insurance. Carlos also connected us with his Sherwin Williams rep when we needed more detailed information about the differences between the many SW paint lines. Once the work began, every day Carlos' two-man crew showed up on time and left the site neat when they went home. They were helpful, considerate, and hard- working. Carlos was easy to communicate with by text or phone call. He checked on the progress daily and responded promptly when any concerns and questions arose. We hesitated between a couple of colors and finishes, but instead of rushing us, Carlos took the time to discuss the pros and cons of each option. My wife and I worked with Carlos to repaint pretty much all of the baseboards/other trim in our house and painting our stair risers after we put in new hardwood floors/stairs everywhere. I highly recommend Dimensions Painting. Carlos, the owner, answered my text on the same day that I sent it, he met with me a few days later - on a Sunday! - to look at the job, and gave me a estimate within hours!! Wow!!! His staff person, Pablo, who did the actual painting did a great job. When I mentioned that Pablo made a moderate mistake, Carlos immediately offered to correct it entirely himself, at no cost to me. It really wasn't a big deal so I did not take him up on it, but I was really amazed that Carlos made such an offer. That's very rare. I'm giving 5 out of 5 stars for promptness, price, quality, communication and thoughtfulness. I will definitely use Dimension again for future painting needs, and I will recommend to friends. My paint job was a small one, but Carlos treated it seriously. The wood sashes on three windows were in desperate need of new paint. It had been at least 20 years since the last time they were painted; over the decades, the sashes had become covered in a thick layer of dust, dirt, and mildew, which was impossible to scrub away without also tearing up the old, fragile paint. I needed someone to do the work within the next 5 business days, due to other fix-it jobs I was doing around the house. I texted Dimensions Painting on a Friday, and Carlos texted me back within an hour! He met me that Sunday to look at the job, then delivered an estimate that evening. Wow! So fast! It was a very reasonble $800 to clean all surfaces, scrape away the old paint, apply caulking, apply primer and two coats of paint (I supplied the paint myself, which was not covered in the price). The entire job took, I think, 8 hours total. It was DEFINITELY worth it. My window sashes look soooo much better. There was so much gunk on those sashes and it is great to see them with a fresh, sparkling, thick layer of new paint. Totally changes the vibe of the room. read more

We were in need of touch ups and baseboard painting after getting our popcorn ceilings removed and installing new flooring upstairs. Out of the vendors whom I contacted, Carlos offered the most reasonable price and was the fastest to respond. Carlos was a little delayed the day he was scheduled to give me an on-site estimate, but he gave me a heads up ahead of time. On the day of the job, Pablo and his team arrived in a timely manner and quickly got to work. It was a two day job, and my husband and I were both working from home due to COVID. Pablo and his team were extremely considerate with minimizing noise and wore masks and shoe coverings the entire time. They took the first day to thoroughly prep, patch, and prime any areas (there was a lot of damage from all the construction work), and did the painting and detail work the next day. They did a great job to the the point where you can barely notice which areas they touched up the paint! The baseboards also look very clean and sleek. They also cleaned up at the end of the first day so that we could easily access the upstairs. What I appreciate most about Carlos is that he is so easy to communicate with. He was always available to text, and he took the time to check in at the end of each work day to see if I had any questions. We had a moving fiasco with another vendor who damaged my door the day before his team was set to come. I texted Carlos and he was quick in getting me a quote and invoice for me to file my claim. On Monday Carlos responded to my contact request via text asking what would be a good time to look at my project. Carlos agreed upon Thursday at 3PM. Wednesday night at 8:50 PM I received a text requesting to push back the time to 3:30 PM to which I accepted. Thursday at 3:31PM Carlos text that he was running late and would be at my home soon. At 3:55PM I called and no answer from Carlos. He did arrive short time after 4 PM and text that he was outside. I immediately called him to tell him that the gate was unlocked however Carlos interrupted me to ask "Do you still want to do it" to which I declined. I am sad to say that this place didn't work out for us. Carlos is so nice that we wanted to love his company and use his company for future jobs -- and to recommend him to our realtor. We paid $900 for one bedroom to be painted bright red. A high price, but we wanted a good job done well. His crew came with a high powered commercial industrial sprayer and a) got paint everywhere (on the new cream carpet, on the ceiling, on the baseboards --- some of which never came off) and b) the paint coat didn't fully cover the blue walls underneath. (No primer was used.) After sending someone to come fix the paint (it got a little better after 2 separate tries) and try to scrub the carpet (didn't work) Carlos argued with us that it was as good as it gets. We had to fight for $50 off the payment. :/ read more

Carlos was incredibly professional, prompt, and thorough. Our 4 unit stucco condo building had not been painted in over 20 years. Needless to say there were a lot of cracks and paint chips. He met with us in person on a weekend (since that was the only time we were free that week) and spent a good chunk of time going over the entire building with us and walked us through the process of repairing the patches of stucco, adding a watertight sealing layer of paint, as well as the timeline of the work. I was prepping my house for sale and had to get a bunch of handyman repairs and painting done. I made the mistake of allowing the handyman to bring some painters he recently started working with. After a full day of painting, it was apparent these so called "painters" didn't know what they were doing. Not only were they slow, but they were sloppy with their painting. I fired them immediately. Since my home was going to be listed in just a few days, I was in a jam to find a good painter who could come to my home last minute to finish the rest of the job and fix the mistakes the previous painters made. Of course I went to Yelp to search out a good painter, found Dimension, and called. Carlos (can you believe his last name is Santana?), the owner, answered right away and I explained my situation. He was at my home 1 hour later to look at the work that needed to be done and provide an estimate. He said he could come the following morning with two of his guys to get the paint job done. Hallelujah! To his word, he was there at 9am sharp the next morning and got right to work. These guys work fast and are excellent painters. I was surprised how reasonably priced they are too. Too many service people start jacking up their hourly rates once they get a good reputation on Yelp, but these guys are still very reasonably priced. Carlos, Hugo and their crew did an absolutely phenomenal job on our home. We called them in for a quote (one of 4 bids) and they not only came in competitively - but they added in a lot of stuff that we 1). Didn't think of (like sealing cracks, fixing unsealed gaps along the foundation, etc...) and 2). No one else thought to include. Super thorough with all the repair and prep work - not to mention choosing paint and materials built to last. I'm just going to put this out there - we're difficult clients. We're super anal retentive about quality AND on top of that - we think we're good with color. This process convinced us that we're not - and we had to change our color when the project was complete. Most people don't wait until the project is 99% complete before changing the color - but yes, we're those people. Carlos and Hugo didn't skip a beat, they didn't get pissed. They were 100% only concerned with making sure we were happy with the end product and helped us get there. They were amazing. The project is done and it looks "out of sight!!" (according to our neighbor). We've had a sting of neighbors stopping by, slowing down and coming up to our door to compliment on the quality of the workmanship. We've had people ask for a referral - inspired to get their own houses updated. Awesome. A word on the crew. It's hard having your house taped up and a crew of people working all over your house all day for a week. But with this crew, it was not a problem and not any trouble at all. They were super polite to not only us, but to our neighbors as well. They kept all the equipment neat and out of the way and totally cleaned up each day before leaving. Carlos was one of 4 diffrent painters we called for a quote and seemed to be the only one who was actually listening to us. All the others were trying to get us to take their quote right away by offering discounts,they were a bit pushy. Carlos put the effort in to understand what we both wanted and didn't offer us a quote right away. He called us back a couple of times and actually asked more questions to try to really understand us what our needs were. During that period the other guys were calling and offering even more of a "discount". When he submitted his quote to us he actually had a very competitive rate, making it easy to pick him. His work was wonderful and even better than what we were expecting. We have two children and he was very nice to them and answered their silly questions with a smile.
