Carlos and his team did an great job on our bathroom. They thoroughly treated a mildew issue and then used anti microbic primer and paint to prevent future problems. The price was really reasonable and they were able to start within days of me accepting the quote. They also made sure I was happy with their work throughout the process. I would definitely book them again! read more

Carlos and his team were fantastic to work with from start to finish. We reached out and he provided a quote right away, which we really appreciated during the chaos of preparing for our move. He was also able to start the very next day to accommodate our timeline, which made a huge difference for us. Throughout the project, Carlos was easy to reach, responsive, and kept us updated with status reports every day so we always knew how things were progressing. His team was professional and paid close attention to detail. We're absolutely thrilled with the final result. The paint looks amazing and completely transformed the space. I hired Carlos for a lead abatement project. His employee Hector was a hard worker, polite and cleaned up the work site. Carlos patiently explained the paperwork and permit required by the City of Oakland, scheduled inspections before and after the project, and checked with me regularly during the process. I'd recommend Dimensions Painting to others. read more

Carlos was able to paint the entire interior of our house on short notice, as we needed to prep for an incoming tenant and the house was in poor shape. He also did window and door repairs, as well as suggesting an excellent color combination. I was in a bind and needed the job done quickly without sacrificing quality and Carlos delivered! read more

We hired them to sand and paint our wooden stairs in our vintage home. The estimate was 2 days work and $980. Then we were told 9-4 done on one day. The crew showed up at noon and left at 3. The job was poor. They didn't sand and prep enough and there are snags and chicks that were not prepped well. We are very disappointed that the price was not adjusted. This was not worth $300 an hour! read more

Carlos came out to check out a dry rot issue at our house, and quickly identified several more spots the inspector had missed, recommending not just repairs for those sections but also that we get the entire house re-painted. They did exactly this, re-sealed cracks in the walls and all our window frames, and left the house looking a million times better, with the added confidence that we'll be able to stand up to at least 8-10 California summers and winters without needing to revisit. His communication was clear and professional, and his team were hard working and considerate. Was very happy to get the word of mouth recommendation to use this business and would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

Carlos and his team were excellent from start to finish! Carlos gave me a quote quickly and the project was done quickly too. They painted a wood-paneled room that I was scared to go in because it gave me creepy vibes and now the room is bright and welcoming! They were so thorough and did an amazing job. They also went above and beyond on certain areas of the room that we didn't expect them to fix. I will definitely be using Carlos and his team's services in the future. Updating review as the quality of Dimensions Painting simply has not held up less than a year later. I attempted to contact Carlos many times via Yelp, email, phone, and text over the past several months as this should be covered under his workmanship guarantee. When I finally got a hold of him, he said he would fix these areas. We agreed to a date and time, I rearranged my schedule to make it work, but he never showed up nor gave any notice he would not come. I have not been able to get a hold of him since. read more

Highly recommend Dimensions Painting. Carlos and his team are great. He painted the exterior of my house about 5 years ago and I just recently had him and his team paint several interior rooms of my house. It required a lot of prep and attention to detail as I have picture framed walls with faux gold leaf that could not be taped over. I've gotten lots of compliments on how good the paint job looks. Carlos is knowledgeable, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. His crew were also friendly and considerate. When I pointed out little touch ups needed here and there, he was very responsive. He also offered to fix several of my wood frame windows that were sticking from a build up of old paint. I plan to use them again in the Spring for additional interior painting. read more

My wife and I worked with Carlos to repaint pretty much all of the baseboards/other trim in our house and painting our stair risers after we put in new hardwood floors/stairs everywhere. Carlos was communicative throughout the project, had very competitive rates and did a great job getting everything done quickly and professionally. On top of this, Carlos was very accommodating with some additional asks that were out of the original scope of our project and even helped me clean up some mess up our wood installers and move a heavy piece of furniture up our stairs which he 100% did not have to do at all. Very appreciative that Carlos went the extra mile since it was extremely helpful. We'd work with Carlos again in a heartbeat! read more

Dimension Painting recently repainted a large two-storey exterior for us. At each stage of the project we were impressed by the professionalism of the owner, Carlos Santana. It started at our initial appointment with how carefully he listened to our priorities. He provided a detailed quote soon after and patiently responded to many follow-up questions about the prep process, types of paint, and a request for proof of insurance. Carlos also connected us with his Sherwin Williams rep when we needed more detailed information about the differences between the many SW paint lines. Once the work began, every day Carlos' two-man crew showed up on time and left the site neat when they went home. They were helpful, considerate, and hard- working. Carlos was easy to communicate with by text or phone call. He checked on the progress daily and responded promptly when any concerns and questions arose. We hesitated between a couple of colors and finishes, but instead of rushing us, Carlos took the time to discuss the pros and cons of each option. We really appreciated the way Carlos understood and respected the fact that we were going to put a lot of thought into the details because the project was a big investment and one that we wanted to last. We are very pleased with the final results and the quality work done by Dimension Painting. read more

Carlos and his team was so helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. The painter patched up exterior wood siding slats on our 100 year old home and painted over with a great color match after taking a small sample from our exisiting color. We also need a new electrical panel painted the same color and it blends with the house so well. The job looks fantastic and I highly recommend Dimensions Painting for any exterior or interior painting needs. Thank you! read more

Excellent job prepping and painting the interior of our home. their work has held up very well against two young and rambunctious kiddos. Carlos: Very responsive, knowledgeable, considerate, and a pleasure to work with Very quick turnaround time and time to complete the project; punctual Great and timely communication Attention to detail was amazing Came by several times to check on the process Found things (cracks) we were not aware of and took care of them Very reasonably priced for the amount of work it took (lots of prep) Really went the extra mile Hector: Very skilled painter Worked very carefully and thoughtfully Took care to not disturb surrounding areas Asked permission to before he did things Was neat and tidy, and hardly knew he was there Already planning our next project with Carlos! read more

I highly recommend Dimensions Painting. Carlos, the owner, answered my text on the same day that I sent it, he met with me a few days later - on a Sunday! - to look at the job, and gave me a estimate within hours!! Wow!!! His staff person, Pablo, who did the actual painting did a great job. When I mentioned that Pablo made a moderate mistake, Carlos immediately offered to correct it entirely himself, at no cost to me. It really wasn't a big deal so I did not take him up on it, but I was really amazed that Carlos made such an offer. That's very rare. I'm giving 5 out of 5 stars for promptness, price, quality, communication and thoughtfulness. I will definitely use Dimension again for future painting needs, and I will recommend to friends. My paint job was a small one, but Carlos treated it seriously. The wood sashes on three windows were in desperate need of new paint. It had been at least 20 years since the last time they were painted; over the decades, the sashes had become covered in a thick layer of dust, dirt, and mildew, which was impossible to scrub away without also tearing up the old, fragile paint. I needed someone to do the work within the next 5 business days, due to other fix-it jobs I was doing around the house. I texted Dimensions Painting on a Friday, and Carlos texted me back within an hour! He met me that Sunday to look at the job, then delivered an estimate that evening. Wow! So fast! It was a very reasonble $800 to clean all surfaces, scrape away the old paint, apply caulking, apply primer and two coats of paint (I supplied the paint myself, which was not covered in the price). The entire job took, I think, 8 hours total. It was DEFINITELY worth it. My window sashes look soooo much better. There was so much gunk on those sashes and it is great to see them with a fresh, sparkling, thick layer of new paint. Totally changes the vibe of the room. read more

We worked with Carlos and his team to repaint our apartment and had a great experience. Carlos got back to me quickly with a quote and refined it on seeing the property in person. We did start the work a few days behind our initial schedule which resulted in ending a few days later, but the quality of the work was topnotch, so we felt it was worth the wait. The level of preparation the team put into the property and the actual quality of the paint job were both excellent. Carlos was also very easy to communicate with overall. Thank you for the help with refreshing our apartment! read more

Carlos and team have done 3 jobs for us at our 1912 house. 10 years ago they did exterior painting, the house needed a lot of repairs prior to paint. Still looks amazing. They did a very skilled, timely and profesional job. They've come back this 2023 winter- for interior painting, plaster repairs and lead treatment on walls. Also exterior wood wall repairs from water damage. The crew is highly skilled, profesional and communicative. There is a lot of consideration on the timeline, excellent communication between Carlos, the crew and the client. The attention to detail, prep and wrap up was impressive. Carlos has great knowledge and advice on materials, hardware, techniques and styles. Once again, everything ran smoothly, stress free and timely. Thank you Carlos and team. read more

I had an amazing experience with Carlos. His level of professionalism is as equal to the level of the work that was done on my client's home. We have worked with Carlos and his team twice and are thrilled not only with the results of the painting, but that they did a big project while she was on vacation and cleaned up the space beautifully. I so appreciate that level of respect and attention to detail. We will definitely be working together on the kitchen and master bathroom next. read more

We were in need of touch ups and baseboard painting after getting our popcorn ceilings removed and installing new flooring upstairs. Out of the vendors whom I contacted, Carlos offered the most reasonable price and was the fastest to respond. Carlos was a little delayed the day he was scheduled to give me an on-site estimate, but he gave me a heads up ahead of time. On the day of the job, Pablo and his team arrived in a timely manner and quickly got to work. It was a two day job, and my husband and I were both working from home due to COVID. Pablo and his team were extremely considerate with minimizing noise and wore masks and shoe coverings the entire time. They took the first day to thoroughly prep, patch, and prime any areas (there was a lot of damage from all the construction work), and did the painting and detail work the next day. They did a great job to the the point where you can barely notice which areas they touched up the paint! The baseboards also look very clean and sleek. They also cleaned up at the end of the first day so that we could easily access the upstairs. What I appreciate most about Carlos is that he is so easy to communicate with. He was always available to text, and he took the time to check in at the end of each work day to see if I had any questions. We had a moving fiasco with another vendor who damaged my door the day before his team was set to come. I texted Carlos and he was quick in getting me a quote and invoice for me to file my claim. Pablo also did a great job repairing the door. I would highly recommend Dimensions Painting and look forward to working with Carlos and Pablo again in the future! read more

Dimensions is the best! Carlos and his crew painted our condo building, a hundred-year old Victorian house in Oakland. We got bids from five different painters, and Dimensions Painting offered us the lowest bid that also included the most detailed proposed work. Dimensions Painting also guarantees their work longer than most other painters do, so it was a clear choice to go with them for our building The work took about a month; Carlos and his crew were careful, professional, clean and thorough. They patched up wood siding, stucco, doors, window frames and doors before applying primer and paint. Both Carlos and his crew were helpful and responsive to any questions or feedback. We were extremely satisfied with their work they did, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for painters. read more

On Monday Carlos responded to my contact request via text asking what would be a good time to look at my project. Carlos agreed upon Thursday at 3PM. Wednesday night at 8:50 PM I received a text requesting to push back the time to 3:30 PM to which I accepted. Thursday at 3:31PM Carlos text that he was running late and would be at my home soon. At 3:55PM I called and no answer from Carlos. He did arrive short time after 4 PM and text that he was outside. I immediately called him to tell him that the gate was unlocked however Carlos interrupted me to ask "Do you still want to do it" to which I declined. I am so happy to have incurred Dimensions and Carlos unprofessional practices before early enough to not hire. Update- Immediately after posting I received an unsettling text from Carlos. read more

This review is long overdue -- Carlos and his team did a phenomenal job on painting the interior and exterior of our home. They were thorough, quick to respond when we asked for touch ups, and fair minded in generating our quote. We thought going into our home improvement project that the painting would be the most time consuming but we were wrong. Carlos and his crew not only were quick to respond with an inspection n date, quote, and questions but they were also unbelievably fast without sacrificing attention to detail. We are very happy with the end result and will keep them in mind again for future projects. read more

Carlos and his team are the best! They just painted our entire exterior, re-framed our front window, and applied a sealant to our wooden deck and we couldn't be happier with the results! I called Carlos on a weekday afternoon and he responded to my voicemail right away and scheduled a walk through so he could put together a quote for the job - he was even willing to come out on a Saturday to accommodate my work schedule. He was very thorough in explaining how they would do the work and sent a detailed quote with with photos back that evening. Rigo was the foreman for our project and he took great care of us too. He was very detail oriented and made sure everything was perfect. He even texted us photos during the process so we could see how everything was going. Highly recommend Dimensions Painting and will absolutely use them for our future paining projects! read more

I am sad to say that this place didn't work out for us. Carlos is so nice that we wanted to love his company and use his company for future jobs -- and to recommend him to our realtor. We paid $900 for one bedroom to be painted bright red. A high price, but we wanted a good job done well. His crew came with a high powered commercial industrial sprayer and a) got paint everywhere (on the new cream carpet, on the ceiling, on the baseboards --- some of which never came off) and b) the paint coat didn't fully cover the blue walls underneath. (No primer was used.) After sending someone to come fix the paint (it got a little better after 2 separate tries) and try to scrub the carpet (didn't work) Carlos argued with us that it was as good as it gets. We had to fight for $50 off the payment. :/ read more

Carlos from Dimension Painting was great to work with. I needed to paint my condo after moving out and reached out to three separate contractors for a bid. Carlos was super fast in providing a quote, provided a very reasonable price and was quick to get started on the job. I was impressed with their level of detail and they made sure to leave the site as clean as the found it. All of their workers wore masks as well. I will definitely use them again for any future painting needs! read more

Gave me a quote and sent me a date to lock in the work and then disappeared for a week before finally telling me the original date won't work. Tired of people making false promises and flaking out. Seems to be a common theme in the industry. I expect if someone gives you a date that they've blocked off their calendars but in reality they're always looking for a higher bidder. Just a warning for anyone who has scheduled work with "dimensions painting" read more

Carlos was incredibly professional, prompt, and thorough. Our 4 unit stucco condo building had not been painted in over 20 years. Needless to say there were a lot of cracks and paint chips. He met with us in person on a weekend (since that was the only time we were free that week) and spent a good chunk of time going over the entire building with us and walked us through the process of repairing the patches of stucco, adding a watertight sealing layer of paint, as well as the timeline of the work. His quote was incredibly competitive and his crew was able to come in quickly to complete the work. We would especially like to thank Rigo from his crew, who was very accommodating and helpful as we tried to schedule door painting for all 4 units. We appreciate all the help from Dimensions Painting and our building looks much improved! We will definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future. read more

We had a fantastic experience with Carlos and his crew. We have been remodeling our home since July and had originally planned to do the painting (entire interior - walls, ceiling, lots of molding, doors) ourselves. But, as construction got delayed and our schedule started falling farther behind we decided to hire painters to keep things moving, and I'm SO glad we did. We received three different painting estimates and ended up going with Carlos. His estimate was not the lowest but he was very kind and responsive when we met in person and I just had a really good feeling about him. We gave him a very tight timeline on pretty short notice and he and his team totally delivered. They did a phenomenal job with the painting and worked very long days to exceed our deadline expectations. We plan to hire them again for all of our painting needs (exterior painting will probably be next) and really appreciate now having such a great painter to call on. Carlos and his crew did excellent work, were professional and took great care of our house while working on it. read more
