I was in the area and decided to try Dimassi's Mediterranean buffet. I went during dinner about 7:30 and the pricing is $32.99 per person. You seat yourself and pay at the end. They did have a variety of dishes from salad bar, humus, rice and proteins. The bread had ran out and was not restocked the entire time I was there. They did have some pieces of which seemed like flavored bread or pita bread, but it was extremely stale and not edible. The gyro and beef kabobs had some decent flavor but were on the dryer side. They did offer 1 lamb shank per person upon request. Flavor was decent and tender but I would not come back specifically for the lamb and would just do lunch. Overall food is decent and I think the best bang for your buck is during lunch time for all you can eat at $21.99. Drinks and dessert bar is included. Definitely not the best Mediterranean food I've ever had but if you want something different for a good price, its a bargain.

Yay, so glad this location is finally open! I've seen influencers rave about Dimassi's at their other spots, and it definitely does not disappoint. Taking over the old Macaroni Grill space, the layout is bright, open, and offers plenty of easy parking. We arrived right around 5pm when it was quiet and empty, but within five minutes of sitting down, groups started trickling in. The setup is clean and well-managed, with hand sanitizer and disposable gloves provided right before you grab the tongs at the buffet line. One interesting detail about the layout was that the utensils and napkins were placed on the opposite end of the room. The food selection is impressive, especially the fresh salads and variety of proteins. Nearly everything we tried was delicious and flavorful. The only slight miss was the butter chicken, which tasted a bit overcooked. For drinks and treats, I really enjoyed the Karak tea, though the rose water was a bit too sweet for my personal taste. They also offer a decent selection of desserts to finish off the meal. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great variety and welcoming vibes. I'll definitely be back soon to check out their lunch special! Also, make sure to plug in your phone number at checkout to earn rewards points!

What a great addition to the area! Middle eastern food but buffet style so you can try everything they have. As someone that is not too familiar with the cuisine, I didn't have much expectations. The food I thought was decent for a buffet, nothing extravagant but did satisfy the cravings. Service was fast and efficient. This place is huge with a lot of seating... you would think they have more food selections, maybe dinner versus lunch? Can't wait to see what else they have in store!

    Gyro is so delicious here

The workers that clear the tables are so nice and informative. They shared the food is fresh and delicious and they are so right! They also do an excellent job of keeping the place clean and organized. We came a few days after they opened and have gone 3 times so far. We would go more but our budget doesn't allow. They are worth the price though! So go and enjoy!!!! $21.99 lunch. That's all we've had. Dinner and weekends are a bit more. See prices in photos Be respectful. You can refill what you like. I get tiny amounts to try then refill what I enjoy. They have a sign saying they will charge for excessive waste. Also wear the provided gloves please. It cuts down on cross contamination. I use it because it's provided and a great idea. Not ever seen this here in California. Nice idea. Now for what you came for, how is it?! Pita bread is made fresh and restocked immediately. Seriously made fresh. The oven is right there. You see them making and replacing it. Avocado hummus is beyond good, best I've had. Ever. Salads fresh and plenty to choose from. Plenty. Gentleman is nice and informative that over sees it. Soup, of the lentil soup. Again best I've tasted. I get two of them. It's that good. I see lots of comments on the chicken. I just don't like chicken in the US. In Peru it's delicious but in the US it's just not good. At all. So I rarely eat it. So my opinion may differ from yours. Rice choices are in abundance. I try a little of each each time and enjoy it. The gyro is delicious here. Get it a couple times each trip. The falafel is yummy too. I like the portion of it. Perfect. So good with the avocado hummus. Meatballs are good too. Obviously made fresh. Lots of drink choices. All included. The KARAK TEA is Caradamom, Ginger, Cinnamon, Sugar, Tea & milk. It is seriously why I crave this place. However one visit it was watered down too much. But the other two visits it was absolutely delicious!!!! So healthy yet satisfying tasting. I know it's wild to wanna drop $25 bucks for a tea but I could drink this all day every day if my budget allowed. Oh and the tea isnt $25. I'm just saying the buffet and tip price. Tea is included in the Buffet price. So this, avocado hummus, pita, and lentil soup. I know that doesn't sound like much but my husband loves buffets and I never eat enough for it to be worth it and plus buffet food is usually low quality and I feel gross afterwards. THIS place is different. Obviously healthier and everything I eat tastes better quality. I feel great leaving here. And while I can't afford to drop $25 a meal too often, it is 100 percent my go to for a buffet and I'm so glad this place is here. I got to meet Shahera the chef in the bathroom last visit. Yes she washed her hands! Just in case you wanted to know lol. She was so nice and they flew her in from Houston to cook here. Another customer and I complimented her on the food. She washed just so nice. And so happy we enjoyed her food. * note First two visits no one mentioned reviews. I wrote this review but updated it after the third visit to add the chefs name and at the counter it has a Google and Yelp review sign so technically my third visit a review was requested. Sharing this to be transparent, but no request was needed. I'd already reviewed lol.

The atmosphere the food and the ambiance is absolutely beautiful peaceful and delicious! I am so glad they opened this buffet near our home. Everything down to the drinks was perfect fresh and delicious.

FINALLY got to try the butter chicken after 3 visits. Been waiting ages for it ever since I heard they were putting a dimassis in. Its very good, figured id update my review :)

from the buffet: gyro meat, tabbouleh, meatballs, stuffed grape leaves, chickpea salad, falafel, and butter chicken -- all get a hard pass.
    Scott T.

except for the company (always good to catch up with old friends), a disappointing meal. made three trips through the extensive line, tried most of the entrees, and all were subpar. chicken dishes were dry, overcoooked, and stringy. zero recognizably lamb options at lunch. am astounded this place has so many four and five-star reviews. nothing that was supposed to be hot was hot. nothing was fresh. the wife-unit. who came up with a flimsy excuse for not joining us commented when I got home: it's a buffet and this ain't Vegas, baby. that pretty much sums up my experience. made an In-N-Out run for a double-double to get the taste out of my mouth.

Food was so fresh and delicious! All the salads had great flavor, the spicy hummus was my favorite. My favorite sauce was the garlic sauce. Pita bread was warm and tasty. Butter chicken, chicken kabobs, yellow rice, and gyro meat (lamb & beef) was all really delicious - seasoning is legit. My favorite desserts were the rice pudding and the baklava. My favorite drinks were the Latte and the Mint Lemonade. We will be back for sure. Thank you for opening a quality buffet!

    I like them

Very tasty!! Everything I try is so good !! My favorite today is butter chicken and bakallava !!

This is their version of tzatziki, but I don't know what kind of Goo goo muck this is
    Moises N.

September 25 lunchtime we arrived there was no line you don't pay first, first you eat then you pay. The regular hummus isn't the best but they made up for it because they have avocado hummus. tzatziki sucks, but they have this mint cucumber yogurt where you can mix it with the tzatziki and makes it better. Its not trader joes tzatziki but its ok. The pita bread is too thick and too small so you can't make gyros out of it. Some were hard as a rock. The lamb was delicious. It was cut in thicker pieces, not sliced thin. I loved it like that. The beef kebabs were delicious and spiced well. Not dry at all. The cooked spinach with feta was delicious. It was not salty and was hot. The chicken kebabs were great. not dry and super flavorful. Was surprised by that these were very delicious. The baba ghanoush was delicious. All the salads were delicious. They were very flavorful, crisp and fresh. Definitely am coming back with my mom my dad my uncle whoever I can find we're gonna come back and we're gonna eat here. The service was super good. There's a guy that picks up your plates and cleans. His name is Luis. He is on point. Good service he smiles a lot very friendly. The rosewater was super super sweet so I had to water it down, but once watered down, it was delicious. I had to get dessert. The baklava was OK. It wasn't the best. the rice pudding and two other pastries were not that good. The last thing I had was some tea with cardamom. It looks like tea with milk and it was delicious. It really hits the spot at the end. Overall, I give this place a nine good service, friendly people really good food. They can have some improvements with the tzatziki and the pita bread besides that everything else is delicious. Highly recommend you coming into this place. If you're complaining about the meat being dry or the salads not having flavor, I don't know what's wrong with your taste buds. I've been eating Mediterranean food all my life. My family is Turkish. I've always had Mediterranean food around the house and also frequent other restaurants around San Diego now they're closed. I used to go to this place called Zorba's in Chula Vista. It's not the same but for a buffet it's really good and for $22 for lunch and $32 for dinner its very reasonable. I don't know about you guys but that's not a lot of money. I usually end up spending $40-$50 just for myself at a taco shop. I mean you can get some Carne Asada fries for 20 bucks and you can get a surf and turf burrito for 20 bucks that's already 40+ a drink and a tip that's 50 bucks so if you're complaining about spending $22-$32 on a buffet that's all you can eat get outta here forget about it! Next time I'm just gonna bring my own tzatziki from Trader Joe's the vegan tzatziki that's my favorite my second favorite tzatziki from Smart and final I might even bring some pitas and just sneak them in a backpack or something. Lol. Mashala mashala.

Pretty good. A lot of positive reviews here but I saw a post of Facebook saying the food was very bland. I didn't notice that at all. We came for lunch on a weekday. The price is $22 and I can honestly say, although I liked the food and experience there is no way I would ever come here for the dinner or weekend pricing. It's not worth $30 in my opinion. You sit and eat first, seat yourself and pay at the end. Also think that's a strange model. If the other locations are like this I guess it works but seems like if it gets real busy it would be easy to dine and ditch. I did intend to take photos of all my plates but I totally forgot for the main course dishes. If I come back I would know what I like and stick with those. It seems that they don't rotate out items, what you see is whah you'll always get. Just was disappointed the tvs were showing ice cream but this location doesn't have any. For the salads, I really liked the arugula, kale Caesar and the yogurt dip, plus garlic sauce, tzatziki and tahini. I had sauces on all my plates. Pita was good. I think I realize I prefer more of a an Indian naan because I was expecting the type of bread I get at those buffets and obviously this wasn't going to be that. For the main dishes, I tried every rice. Can't say which was best, they were kinda all similar. Surprisingly I really enjoyed the cauliflower and fried fish. I didn't care for all the chicken except kabob having bone but I'm sure that's the traditional way and also to prevent dryness. I also liked the variety of drinks. The mint lemonade is very fresh and housemade tasting. My son tried all the drinks and liked the rose water. Desserts were all very tasty as well. I like sticky baklava so I like that they have sugar syrup on the side to add. I enjoyed every thing on the dessert table but mostly the things in paper cups and the pink coconut? Dessert. The puddings were ok. Again the video ad thing being played showed banana pudding with cookies in it which is not here but one of the desserts I don't remember the name was basically like a cookie so I ate it with that. We were stuffed. Worth a visit but highly (only) recommend weekday lunch

Was super excited to try this but slightly disappointed with the outcome. We came on a Sunday around lunch time. The salads were fresh and were pretty good. The soups were hot and flavorful. The pita bread was a hit, very fresh and soft. I didn't try the pizzas but they were good options for kids. The chicken kebob and ground beef were really dry. The gyro was pretty good but it wasn't shaved cut but more into rectangles. The meatballs were yummy. The fried fish looked good but was cold inside. The roasted cauliflower was my favorite, so yum! As for dessert, it was different. 2 of the items I didn't like, but the baklava was delicious! The set up is very different: seat yourself, get your own food and drink, there were 2 people who regularly came by with trash carts to pick up the dishes and when you are done, walk to register and pay. Very spacious and clean. Overall, i think if we come back, it would be for lunch as it would be worth the lunch price than the dinner/weekend price. They are probably still working out the kinks since they just opened, it was a wait when certain food items ran out.

I don't see any pita or naan or anything. Is there any type of bread option?

The pita bread is placed just before you get to the rice. They are small homemade pitas that are just the right size

This additional charge was not clearly explained to me when I arrived or before the service began. When I questioned the charge, the employee simply told me to "read the menu." I took a picture of the fine print because it was extremely difficult to read and was not clearly presented. If there is a mandatory gratuity or additional fee, it should be clearly disclosed to customers before they receive the service--not afterward. I explained that I did not agree to the additional $58 charge and that I was willing to leave a reasonable tip based on the original $140 amount I had already paid through Groupon. What made the situation even more upsetting was what happened while I was paying the bill in cash. My child was recording me with the camera while I made the cash payment, and the employee grabbed my child's arm because he was recording. I found it completely inappropriate for an employee to physically grab my child simply because he was recording me making the payment. I also put a picture of the menu where she told me I supposed to find the information about the extra charges. It's not legible. BUT this one ain't it! There were a handful of items that were decently edible like mashed potatoes and gravy. The salad bar was also alright. It's difficult to mess up chopped lettuce mix because it only requires opening a bag or container and pouring the contents into the bin. Fried chicken was fine as long as you are able to get a piece or two. I noticed if you come in later in the evening, the food is not replenished so you are stuck with bottom of the bin caked on dry remnants. Here are the highlights: the server bringing the drinks and busing tables was doing her best to be happy and welcoming. One of the cooks was very courteous and also did her best to anticipate customer needs. They get two thumbs up! Now for the fun part: The clam chowder was too salty and had an aftertaste of old dirty towel, promising a fitting end to my evening with a bad tummy ache. The cook making the steak didn't seem to care about communicating a single word with the customers. Her sole purpose was to repeatedly flip something that looked like meat and point to a bin full of burned protein hockey pucks. I noticed how the line of hungry patrons grew with eager anticipation as she stopped flipping and started attempting to slice. As each diner finally walked away with something on their plate, she was free to disappear in the back to probably make more clam chowder. I watched a couple seated near me with steak on their plate. Husband was breaking a sweat trying to slice a piece while his wife was busy trying to gracefully eject something inedible from her mouth. Now on to the pinnacle of the meal - dessert time. There wasn't much left, so I chose a slice of pecan pie. It looked promising, like something you could pick up at the local grocery store, but that's where any similarity ends. It tasted old and stale, like it was made from expired corn syrup found at the bottom of the moldy basement. The soft serve ice cream machine was screaming like an exit door alarm every time someone pulled the arm to coax out some frozen ice milk. Then I spotted the highlight of the evening. I didn't think it was possible to mess up jello, but heck you learn something new everyday. I captured that masterpiece in a photo. Sadly, the owner of this location really needs to put many improvements in place. People do enjoy going to buffets and truly miss Souplantation and HomeTown Buffet. Golden Corral has the potential to fill this gap. It is in a good location anchored by Target with lots of parking to serve a busy neighborhood in oceanside. It also has a few employees who still care to do a good job. The staff was on it when it comes to clearing our table. They were efficient and friendly, that's about it. We went on Sunday lunch, arrived around 1ish. It wasn't packed, but a lot of containers were empty. Steak. They didn't have a consistent person there, at times people just waited until someone showed up. They also gave super rare meat. The outside was nicely charred, but the inside, pure red. Unfortunately, the attendant lady making it didn't speak English and luckily, a gentleman waiting with us was able to translate for us. We were asking for medium. It was still given to us super rare. Also, it was pretty much unsanitary or cross contamination as they used the same tong to grab raw meat, grill the meat, then put the meat on our plate. I'm talking about she's using the same tong mid way grabbing raw meat and flipping and giving us our steak. Food signage was all over the place. About 50% (or more) was off. So don't even bother reading those, just assume what you're grabbing. Everything tasted bland or generic, like no name brand food just got heated and put on the platter, same for the salad items. Like I mentioned, you go here to get full. We got buy one get one free meal, so essentially, for $11 per person, it's a great deal, but I'd never pay full price for them. I'd rather go to a Chinese Buffet and enjoy some fried rice. I knew what I was expecting in terms of quality. I would have probably given them more stars if they didn't have so many empty stations (which sat empty for a long time). Oh, they eventually had ham, but oh man, that was super dry! I did enjoy their pina colada slurpee, fried chicken, and chocolate covered dessert .

I love chicken wings and chose it for my one-item combo which includes fried rice & chow mein. Huge meal for someone very hungry...or 2 meals easily shared. The Huz had the shrimp fried rice (which they make to-order, and takes just a tad bit longer to receive) and my sons had a one-item combo with chicken teriyaki as the main. The chicken teriyaki has a sweet flavor and the boys liked it. The service is friendly and helpful. The dining area is medium size and if you can snag a table on a less busy time, it's quite comfortable and clean. This will be a regular stop for us when we're in the area.

But it's the first faster Chinese meal that did not make me swell up or like I needed to drink a gallon of water. The orange chicken was crispy, the chow mein not dry and full of flavor. The veggies were so good too! Enough garlic and not dry. Portions are huge for $13 too! Very generous. In addition to the food being good, the girl working was just so nice. She said the food traffic has decreased due to services like DoorDash and such which is a shame because she was so sweet and easy to interact with. We'll be returning soon!

There's also a very robust salad bar with a healthy number of offerings (including warm side dishes and soup) to complement the protein options. After we were seated, the meat merry-go-round began. It was just soooooo great. They served delicious cuts of filet mignon, sirloin, flank steak, picanha (my personal favorite), and sausage (chicken was also available but we stayed with the beef and pork). In addition, he served brought pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), french fries, and garlic mashed potatoes to the table as well. Everything was well-seasoned, the salad bar offerings fresh, and skewer offerings hot off the rotisserie/grill. The restaurant itself was really nicely decorated, spacious, and clean. Our waitress was fantastic and all the skewer-servers circulated frequently and were friendly (I've been to place like this where they try to hold out on the proteins - DEFINITELY NOT the case here). Overall, it was an excellent experience. The salad bar was missing a few more traditional Brazilian items but I nothing to cry about. We both ate til we couldn't take it any more and we would DEFINITELY return after we unclog our arteries.

They can be accessed via Highway 76 and getting on Mission Avenue. The shopping plaza they are in allows for ample parking space. The Crab Pub has a spacious interior and there's plenty of big tables for groups and families. They also have a separate dining area set aside from the main space and they also have a party room that can be reserved. Service was fast and attentive and there was very little wait time. There is also a bar on premise, but they do not have a hard liquor license just yet. But you can always enjoy a beer or my favorite is Soju. One of my favorite meals here is a crab boil bag that contains mussels, shrimp, crawfish, potatoes, corn, boiled eggs, and crab legs. I like to get this with their pub sauce. The Cajun seasoning is so flavorful! Their crawfish are pretty decent in size and I may sometimes order a bag on the side. For starters, their fried calamari is OK, but doesn't come as crispy as I would like. But I like their clam chowder and I love their cheesy garlic bread! Overall, I've eaten at the Crab Pub twice, and I've loved both experiences, and I will definitely come back for their seafood. I'm very picky about where I go to eat seafood for fear of getting sick and this place is a safe bet

I like that this place uses the Yelp waitlist because I put my name down as we were on our way over and arrived just in time. We were seated quickly on a Saturday evening around 6 pm. There are a good amount of tables inside. They also had some TVs showing baseball games around. The service was amazing here. It felt like the waiters and waitresses were constantly eyeing our table to see if we needed anything or were ready to order more. They refilled our water carafe before it was completely empty, changed our grills before we asked, and took away empty plates as soon as we cleared them. I also appreciated that they put salt or something on the ground so it wasn't too slippery. The only complaint I had about the place was that it was really hot but I could see the waitresses were also really hot as they fanned themselves walking around. The food were was actually pretty solid for an ayce restaurant. We got the deluxe plan which is the cheaper option for $30.99. The brisket came with some salt and pepper on it and looked like a better cut than I've seen at other places. We also got some kalbi which came without the bone which is so nice because we didn't have to cut it off and have little meat left over. My husband and I also really liked the marinated steak. I typically like non marinated meat better but the steak was tender and the marinade wasn't too sweet. I used the salt to help cut the sweetness and wrapped it in a lettuce with some radish. I really liked all the meats we tried here. They also have really good sides here that you can't get anymore at a lot of kbbq places like the steamed egg or corn cheese plate. All of the food options were so good and I left very stuffed. I would definitely recommend then kbbq ayce restaurant to anyone in the area!
