I'd give this place a 4.5/5 overall. The first thing that I like about the place is the community seating. Not too fussy, find a place to sit in their long family style seating arrangement and share a smile with a neighbor if it happens to be packed! Therefore, I'd definitely say come to the place if you're with a big group of mates or with family, and not maybe to share a romantic, intimate evening - except if you don't care because the food is good :D The varieties that they have on hand makes the experience worth it and even more so if you're vegetarian/vegan. Mediterranean food always offers the plus of giving those who don't eat meat a healthy number of choices and this place is no different - I'll only be highlighting the ones I specifically thought I wanted to point out, either for good or bad reasons, but needless to say, the range of dishes are beyond what I'm describing. The fatoush and tabbouleh are excellent, and the falafel balls are humongous, crispy and not too dense inside. They have a few more salad options, but my favorite vegetarian savory dish here bar none is the cauliflower - crispy, slight char and so much flavor. The tahini and hummus are on point and I really like the bread that they provide. The meat dishes while plentiful took a back seat when compared to the vegetarian dishes because I thought a number of them were dry/overcooked - examples included the meatballs, kabobs and shredded beef. The chicken thigh dish though was on point and the best of the lot. Special shout out to the dessert options, because they were so good. The best of the lot were the kataif, but the baklava, honey cake and rice pudding were not far behind. Great options for a decent price puts this place on my list of go to Mediterranean spots. I found this place while looking at nearby restaurants on google maps and I'm surprised I haven't seen it come across a list before! It's served buffet style (bonus!) and very laid back atmosphere that is friendly and casual. There's lots of vegan options and their pita bread came out so soft and warm I don't even know how many pieces I ate. Walking in, the first Impression was WOW! The Turkish lantern lamps and the ambiance was so aesthetically pleasing it foreshadowed the amazingness to come. I'm not usually a Buffett person due to things not being fresh usually, but everything we tried was super fresh! The Buffett had everything you can imagine from a Middle eastern place: Tabouli, 3 types of houmus, baba ganoush, grape leaves, falafel, fatoush, roasted cauliflower, and then to the kabobs, chicken, kafta, and even shrimp. On the other side there was also a dessert bar that offered baklava, rice pudding with pistachios, and kadaifi. What impressed me even more was that they had a hot tea station and offered rose water for the tea! My favorite! I ordered pickup through UberEats on Sunday night at 8:51PM. I arrived to pick it up at 9:20 when the UberEats app told me it "should be ready". The man up front told me they were closed and the order was cancelled. This would have been fine except the order was not cancelled. The man wouldn't do anything to help and I spent 30 minutes on phone support with Uber trying to get my money back. The restaurant wouldn't even answer the phone for Uber to confirm I didn't get my food. I was excited to try this place but now I will never go back to this or any of their other locations. Irving place used to be a good one for family gatherings but unfortunately this time all the foods were dried and not fresh so I asked the cashier to see what's is wrong because as we took a plate of food so we have to pay now and they need to change the food with fresh ones and we waited more than 30 mins to get the food and fry chicken . I've heard good things about this place, a friend of mine and I decided to try the buffet, and it was not great. The meat was dry, the pita bread was decent, the selection was fair at best. Considering how many of these are around I was very surprised at the quality of the food. Maybe the non buffet food is better, but I wouldn't be putting out mediocre food on the buffet if I wanted to gain business. read more

They don't have this place on yelp for Grapevine, so I had to write a review through Irving, the one in Grapevine was amazing the buffet was freshly made in all the sides, the lamb was delicious and tender, certain chicken was good but not all was not. My mommy tried most of the chickens and she said they were very dry and this round meat was also dry. We went lunch time price was $15.99(11-4) it also included a drink, at 1st I got water but their water tasted like pipe water so then I started to drink fountain drinks instead, they also had Rose water and some other juice, which I took a small sip. The rose water was interesting it really tasted like a flower the other juice was alright. They had a lot of desserts to but the best one was baklava and of course ice cream. Will go again - This place was a hidden gem for me. I was planning to go to the In-N-Out that is nearby here. However, Mediterranean food is one of my favorite cuisines (Greek more than others) and when I saw the sign, I jumped to it. Of course, as it is a buffet, it is not top quality. Nonetheless, for a buffet, it is amazing! I have been to many buffets in NJ (my home state). But, they are mostly, if not all, Chinese buffets. First timer, and I was impressed overall. I was in the area - and like, but don't often eat middle eastern food. They have a pretty unassuming interior with open seating, and you pay up front when you're done. Lots of choices - hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, fattoush, etc., along with a number of rice and vegetable dishes... and meats like chicken (several varieties), gyro meat, etc.. Pita bread tasted fresh, too. They had sodas and tea and a few other drink choices that were included in the price. There were also desserts, but I didn't try any. With a 10% tip, it was a little over $20. But you could totally stuff yourself and not have to eat for the next day - or so (half joking). Currently low carbbing so I'm pretty restricted on what I can eat. I strolled in with my party of 4 on a Friday afternoon and was seated immediately. We took a little browsing tour of our choices to strategically move food around in our belly before jumping in. After my first plate (granted I'm a slow eater), the crowd was starting to pour in. I ended up having to wait a little bit for the crowd to thin out. Personally, this is the third Dimassi's I have been to, and of the three it was the best. In terms of ambiance, the restaurant was clean and the service workers were kind. There's one catch. Even though it is mentioned "all inclusive buffet" , It is ONE free lamb shank per person . And you have to order lamb shank from the kitchen inside (they don't put lamb shanks on the trays for you to go and take as many as you can. ) . If you order more than one lamb shank, it goes at $5.99/piece over and above the buffet charges . They don't say this upfront or mention it on their website . I feel they should mention this on their website . You come to know this only when you go back asking for more lamb shanks . If you advertise your restaurant as a buffet one , you should mention the exceptions on website (in this case lamb shanks) . So if you go in and have your buffet and did not order lamb shanks from the kitchen , they make more money off of you . This is Irving's hidden secret. It has lamb, chicken, broths, rice, salads, fruit, and dessert all for 13.00 there is an impressive array to choose from. On Friday they have traditional couscous as well. There is someone who goes around and actively pciks up the plates, and the food on the buffet is fresh and good. I thoroughly enjoy dining at Dimassi's restaurant/buffet at Irvine! I travel extensively for work and come here every time I am in the Dallas/Irvine area. I'm here today and will be back three more times this month. I think the layout is brilliant. One walks in the door presumably because they are hungry-good-because here you bypass all the normal stops and head to the buffet where you pick up your plate and this is where the "fun" really starts. Before you is an well stocked buffet of fresh, authentic and delicious Mediterranean and Middle Eastern foods. Numerous vegetable and protein selections are available and replenished regularly. Whatever your dietary needs you should be able to satisfy your wants/needs here. Personally I am on a low carbohydrate diet. For me, Dimassi's is PERFECT. The tile floors are easily kept clean. The simple table and chairs are constantly being cleaned by the attentive and friendly staff. The cleanliness of the buffet is as good as I have ever seen. Masks and disposable gloves are provided. Having lived in the Middle East and in Africa I come for the food, but actually linger and go back for seconds to soak in the ambiance. I love the Arabic music softly playing in the background, I enjoy listening to the melodies the multilingual conversations rolling in the background. I love the smells of many of the staple foods and exotic spices of ancient cultures. The richly diverse clientele represented the varied cultures of the Fertile Crescent; Middle East North Africa and beyond. Their presence attests to the authenticity of the wonderful tasting foods. I visited by accident as there used to be a Thai place a couple doors down. When I saw 'Mediterranean Buffet' I could not pass it up. Well into the evening the food was still coming fresh out the kitchen and all of the selections being maintained. There were no crusty dried up selections like many other buffets. This place was very clean and had a friendly efficient staff. The food itself was absolutely excellent, I will go out of my way to visit whenever I'm in the DFW area. Overall excellent experience. Wide variety of food, most of it top shelf. I especially enjoyed the gyro meat and sauce. I tried almost everything and wasn't disappointed.
