Such a good deal!!! This buffet had more than 60 different types of dishes to choose from. There were plenty of vegetables, grains, meat, and dessert. I was completely stuffed at the end. If you even remotely enjoy Mediterranean food like kebab, gyro, lamb, chicken, falafel, rice, cucumbers, hummus, etc then you should definitely give it a try! They have fresh salads, hummus, spicy hummus, many dips such as tzatziki, and a few meat options such as shredded beef and a Mediterranean meat loaf slice. The baklava was not as great but they had plenty of other options for desserts such a rice pudding and fruits! I am giving it a four out of five since I know certain dishes could have been made differently and some dishes that have been sitting there for a while like their falafels. Ooh great find! My sister lives close by and was craving salads so we came here. I was a little nervous about going to a buffet but the whole restaurant was spotlessly clean and they gave disposable gloves so it felt very safe. We came right at opening and we were the first customers there, and it was still pretty sparse and very distanced by the time we left. The buffet food was excellent and healthy! I made a sampler plate of almost all the salads and liked them all. I also tried the chicken, gyro meat and a meatball and liked it all. Lunch price is very reasonable. Dimassi's has become a go to family restaurant for us! We love it! The buffet is always looking fresh and there are lots of healthy options and some not as healthy too. I love the salads, yogurt and the selection of hummus is on point. I've noticed that the rice changes up a bit and there is usually a specialty rice and they are all super tasty. I'm a huge fan of the yellow kabob chicken. Their green beans are a favorite too! The absolute best Mediterranean food in Austin, hands down. I've tried them all, let me tell ya, this is IT. Ok so here's the scoop on Dimassi's- you can order it to go or you can go eat there and take advantage of the most fabulous buffet you will ever encounter- either option will be DELICIOUS. Because of the buffet option, I've been able to try everything on the menu, including the deserts, and it's ALL good. They also have pretty legit Covid protocols in place, which makes the buffet feel much less cafeteria-like than your average buffet. They REQUIRE every buffet patron to wear a mask and gloves while serving themselves, and they have hand sanitizer throughout the restaurant. Very reassuring, I want my food safe. Let's talk food: My personal favorites are the kale Caesar, the fattoush,the tzaziki, the spicy hummus, the chicken kebab, and the kafta. Um and the pitas... oh my dear God, the PITAS. Order at LEAST 3 per person, I am not kidding. They are pillowy, dreamy, melt in your mouth little bread clouds. I dream about their pitas. Since we entered the atmosphere it was perfect, the staff was very friendly and they spoke Spanish. I couldn't believe the great selection of salads, great, and the grape leaf rolls, avocado hummus. the eggplants !! The second best I've had in my life, the first were in Italy.
