I miss the massive dim sum restaurants I used to frequent. The 800 seat Jin Fong in NY. Oriental Pearl in Atlanta. Point to what you want when the carts come by, sometimes, with a language barrier, not knowing what it is you pointed to. It's a fun way to eat! Dim Sum Mania isn't fun. But it's good. And despite a name that sounds Americanized, there are always Asian patrons, likely there to shop in the neighboring Hung Vuong. We're in the habit of ordering two types of dim sum, and one entree. We duplicated the crystal shrimp dumplings we ordered last time, and tried Shanghai pork soup dumplings. (The soup dumplings were better than what I had at Joe's Shanghai in NY, a restaurant known for their soup dumplings.) I was bowled over by today's eggplant with garlic sauce. It could've been a bit spicier -- I added chili and soy sauce -- but other than that .... With a variety of vegetables and the eggplant cooked perfectly, I was delighted!

Very comfy and modern inside the restaurant. We came on a rainy weekday afternoon, so there weren't a lot of guests yet. By the time we left, the early dinner rush was getting in the swing. Overall, it was a very cozy experience. It had been a while since I've personally had dim sum, so it was very nostalgic ordering things like soup dumplings, crystal shrimp dumplings, and egg tarts. I highly recommend the radish cake -- we demolished it before I could take a photo, but it was so good! Soft and savory on the inside, crispy and hot on the outside. Just like the scallion pancakes too. If you're in the mood for some dim sum in the area, definitely give this place a try!

I dined here for the first time last night with 3 other adults. The inside of the restaurant was hip and clean, though on the warm side. I was sweating pretty much the entire time, which was very uncomfortable and made me want to leave...but I really didn't want to leave because the food was so yummy! We ordered a variety of dumplings and buns, scallion pancakes, and beef Chow Ho Fun (wide noodles) to share, and didn't leave a scrap. I wish I could've tried everything on the menu! The sauces are on the table (side note: the dumpling sauce bottle was sticky...) so you can use what and how much you want. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious! The noodles and soup dumplings were probably my favorites. We didn't get any drinks or dessert. The service was good overall, though we did have to ask for water refills. The food came out quickly and they did a great job clearing empty plates without making us feel rushed. The gentleman who took our order gave us some recommendations and didn't mind leaving a menu with us so we could keep ordering stuff to try. This is a fun place to visit with friends, and I would definitely welcome the opportunity to go back another time!

A pleasant surprise. This byob offers an excellent selection of dim sum and traditional Chinese food. The dim was good - not crazy good, but a solid 8. We added a couple of entrees - the green beans with pork and the rice cakes. Both were really outstanding. The green beans were cooked just right - and served with pork. The rice cakes were a new one for me - where have they been all my life? They're made from the same dough as Mochi is - but sliced and fried up with mushrooms in a sauce that was unbelievably good. Just wow.... A return visit is most definitely in the cards.

Food was very delicious! We had some spicy chicken, beef chow fun and egg plant in garlic sauce. They are flavorful and delicious! Service was quick and attentive. Place is clean and cozy! Will definitely be back again

Dumplings are fine as they are usually pre-made, but the wonton soup and dry pot chicken are way too salty, as if the salt jar was tipped over and all the salt fell into the dishes. It's unacceptably salty. Putting the unhealthy sodium level aside, it's a decent dim sum place. Not super authentic but acceptable.

I ordered 3 dishes for take out: mapo tofu with no pork, general tsos tofu, and dry hot pot vegetable. My friends and I really enjoyed the dishes. It was greasy in the right ways, and kicked our tasted buds with some spice. At that time, we were raving so positively about the meal. However, three out of the four of us had bathroom problems the next morning. I won't indulge you in the details, but it was a disappointment because I was so excited to show my friends some good Chinese food. Unfortunately, our stomached said otherwise.

My family and friends got together after a hike and had lunch here. I allowed them to order all the food so I don't actually remember what these dishes were called but everything was delicious. They have high chairs for kids and there seemed to be quite a few families so they must be very accommodating towards the kids. The food came out quickly and we left happy and full. I would certainly recommend another visit.

My last review was for takeout and it was already at 4 stars! My coworkers and I brought some guests from out of town for an early dinner one weekday evening. They had our tables ready to go. The staff answered all our questions and double checked that our gluten intolerant coworker was able to eat certain dishes for us. A lot of the items on the menu are gluten free so she was very happy she could eat almost everything we ate! The food was fresh and tasted amazing. We got everything from crab and pork soup dumplings to salt and pepper seafood. Tom's fried rice is a favorite among the group and the beef and broccoli was one of the best I've had in a long time. I can't hype this place up enough! I had to come back and up my rating to 5/5 stars!

Called for hours, very friendly and locked in a quick reservation to ensure no conflicts or wait. Upon arrival warmly greeted and immediately seated. Extremely clear and great upbeat music in the background. Food came out quickly and was very delicious. Highly recommended!

I can't say it was the best dim sum experience, but it was a bit better then I had in their Media location.

Working late, I came to dine in around 10 PM and had fast delivery of everything I ordered. The food had creative tastes compared to the many traditional dumplings I have had in San Gabriel Valley. The dishes are fresh and rightfully cooked whether steamed or fried! The decor is slightly fancy enough for romance but contemporary for group gatherings. I had no problem with the servers and was grateful for military discount! I would defiantly come back to try the other options.

After comparing it to other similar food establishments beforehand and afterward, it just felt less than impressive overall. The restaurant almost felt too traditional in a way, if that makes sense. Some people may appreciate that authenticity, but for me it took away from the excitement and uniqueness I was expecting. The atmosphere and food simply did not leave much of a lasting impression. As for the food itself, it was decent enough, but nothing I would personally say it would blow your socks off. It definitely was not bad or "poor-man food" by any means, but it also did not have that satisfying "I can't wait to come back" feeling either. Overall, it was an average experience for me.

Like dimsum and general tso chicken... they didn't give us soup spoon for dimsum but kinda late to ask for it and some dimsum was already tore in the bottom so soup was leaking through...which defeat the purpose of soup dumpling. Usually there isn't a menu and numerous servers are pushing carts throughout the restaurant and explaining what they are offering. That's half the fun. You have a chance to sample all kinds of dishes, usually small bites and can order as many or as little as you like. Here you are ordering off a menu like any other restaurant. It's not a bad thing but it's really not Dim Sum. The menu is large with many great sounding dishes. They had Peking Duck that you don't see on many menus and it was delicious. Well worth a try for an above average Chinese restaurant. BYO
