    Rice noodle with chicken.
    john h.

I ordered rice noodles with chicken. I thought I was ordering the thick rice noodles like they have at ABC Bakery. I should have known when they made it fresh. It was actually vermicelli type rice noodles, except thinner. It didn't have much flavor unless you add sauce, it was well prepared though. Service was good, interior is no frills, one table a couple of chairs. Everything was to go, doesn't look like they're encouraging you to sit down and eat, more of place to sit and wait. The Dim Sum looked good.

Always drove pass this place and never knew it was a dim sum place, their food is super good and ready to order. Service was great and they're super quick.

damnnn sorry man i really wanted to like this but it just wasnt that good. i ordered 3 siu mai and 3 ha gao but like they were not good at all. the ha gao tasted extremely fishy wish it should not taste like man. the skin of it was very mushy as well .... and the flavor of the siu mai just wasnt good unfortunately. and the textures werent up to par either. the woman taking my order was very friendly and nice tho.

It's quick & easy. The shumai is huge and at least double the size that you'd get anywhere else. For the price, the quality was good, definitely ate it all. There's nowhere to sit inside, it's really just a grab and go set up.

This is my go to spot for dim sum! Recommend to go early, to get the best quality. They serve deep fried pork dumplings that are to die for! They only do one batch most times so first come first serve. If you come after me, I'm pretty much taking what's remaining. Now sometimes they're cold cause they aren't kept under a heat lamp, I'd definitely warm them up before eating for the best taste. Sometimes I'm late and left with whatever's left and usually go with their $6.75 lunch special for the day. Yes less than $7 for a giant rice plate made to order, really affordable and tasty. Today I was able to get everything we wanted. Pork steamed buns, steamed shrimp dumplings, steamed pork dumplings, and the fried pork dumplings. Sometimes the lady taking orders sounds rude and very cheap when it comes to the sauce packets but the food makes up for it. If they were more consistent I'd give them a 4 star, but overall for food, service, and quality, it's 3 stars.

I'm on the search to find myself the best walk up dim sum spot in our city. Dim Sum House doesn't take the best for me but it is pretty good. Came in on a Sunday morning and was able to get some of our favorite dim sum items. The siu mai was good and pretty big compared to others I've had but the flavor wasn't better. The har gow was alright but failed to "WOW" me. Prices are pretty cheap for the current economy so that does give the food a plus. There was only one person at the front which may affect service times during peak but there wasn't that many people there at the time so nothing ti complain about that. The ambiance isn't the best as there is only one table in there with chairs around it and the others are stacked up on each other, so don't really expect to dine in. Was it the best? No. (But it is good) Will I ever come back? Yes

BBQ pork buns, pork siu mai, shrimp ha gao for $11 -- serving for two

I came here while waiting in line at the DMV as person number 13. The boyfriend wanted Jack in the Box, while I said we should look around for something different for breakfast. Dim Sum House is a humble, no-frills corner shop with one person behind the counter and a simple menu with dim sum staples, along with lunch specials for around $7. Everything is priced affordably; 4 BBQ pork buns, 3 pork siu mai and 3 ha gao round up to $11, or roughly $5 per person. As for the food itself, it has a home-cooked quality -- savory without being too savory, substantial filling in every bite and flavor familiar enough to satisfy. It's not the prettiest or anything attention-grabbing, but it's a pretty darn good choice in local business to support when you're on the go.

This a good place for take out dim sum. It's nice that you can see all the different kinds of dumplings they have through the glass. I was impressed with the variety they had. So many things to choose from! We ordered a bunch of different items. I really liked the shrimp dumplings the best, because it had good flavor of chives and cilantro. The chicken sui mai was not my favorite because it was on the dry side. The steam buns had too much bao and not enough filling for my taste. The egg tart and wife cake was nice and flaky. Not too sweet and It was delicious! There's a bunch of tasty dim sum and good variety to choose from. I would suggest you come and check it out if you're craving some take out dim sum! Friendly service!

Wow, I love their pork bun; I wish it was still a little warmer or kept in a warmer. The crunchy fried taro has pork in it, and it was pretty good. The service was great. The place is a simple food takeout. During the weekday, they do not offer the whole dim sum menu, only what is showing in the picture. I ordered the skinny chow mein combo, and it lacks flavor and barely any meat.

    Lunch specials

Ordered two party trays on short notice- one bbq pork fried rice and one chicken chow mein. I called right at opening (9 am) and they said could be ready in as soon as 40 min. I arranged to pick up later in the am and my order was waiting for me. Came to $40 a tray, fed 20 people and had tons of leftovers. People loved the food.

Husband couldn't wait to eat his bun!

The restaurant itself has always been large, spacious, and beautifully decorated with chandeliers--it's definitely a nice venue for events like weddings. Their taro turnovers have always been a favorite of mine, and even after moving farther away, I still found myself coming back just for them. A few months ago, my husband and I had a really pleasant experience here. We ordered a variety of dim sum and ended up taking some home because everything was so enjoyable. My husband typically orders the spicy orange chicken and has always been satisfied with it. The service during that visit was also great--the server was sweet, attentive, and we even had some fun conversations. Unfortunately, our most recent visit yesterday was a completely different experience. We came in around 11:15 AM on a Tuesday expecting a nice, casual dim sum date. I ordered har gow, siu mai, sticky rice, and shrimp balls with sweet and sour sauce, and we waited for more of the dim sum carts to come around. As usual, I ordered the spicy orange chicken for my husband. It was already off to a rough start when communication with our servers became difficult. There seemed to be a significant language barrier, and it was challenging to get our concerns across. Things went downhill when we received the "spicy" orange chicken. It was not spicy at all and, more importantly, it was severely overcooked--hard, dry, and honestly unchewable. We ordered chicken, not beef jerky. When we brought this up, the staff seemed fixated on the spice level rather than listening to the main issue. They insisted that the dish was already spicy and interpreted our concern as a request for "extra spicy." Both my husband and I can handle spice differently, but we could agree there was no spice present, and that wasn't even the primary problem--the texture was. They took the dish back, and we assumed it would be remade. Instead, it was quickly returned to us with some chili sauce sprinkled on top--the same exact overcooked chicken. I could tell it hadn't been remade because the same broken piece of chicken was still on the plate. At that point, we were frustrated and had lost our appetites. I took the dish to the register myself to explain that the issue was the texture and that the chicken was inedible. It finally seemed to click, and they apologized and offered to remake it, but by then, it felt too late. I'm not one to give third chances when something should have been handled correctly the first or second time. To their credit, they did not charge us for the dish and were apologetic, but the entire experience felt unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. That's not the level of service I expect when I'm paying to support a business. It's especially disappointing because this was meant to be our last visit before moving out of state, and it ended on such a sour note. Sadly, after this experience, I definitely do not see myself returning.

The cashiers taking orders were very nice and efficient, happy to answer any questions I had. I ordered 3 pineapple buns with filling, 2 sui mai, 2 shrimp ride noodle and a beef rice noodle. Most things are ready right when you order but because it's made fresh, when they run out there is a wait sometimes. When I got the pineapple buns in my hand they were still nice and warm, a decent size as well compared to some dimsum spots. The filling was nice and sweet, not the typical nai wong custard but a coconut, thicker filling that was nice and sweet. The bread was so soft as well and the crust was nice flaky and crunchy. It was very satisfying to bite into, no complaints here! 9/10 The sui mai was piping hot when I got it as well. They were very big and meaty and so fresh when I bit into them. Super juicy and fulfilling to eat! 8.5/10 Lastly the rice noodles, which are my favorite of all time dimsum foods. The shrimp one had such a good bite to it because of the shrimp. The rice noodles were thin and soft just how I like them! The beef one I wish had a bit more beef/beef flavor to it but still good! In addition the sweet soy sauce they give is a good balance of sweet and salty as well, would def recommend! 8.5 Overall I would definitely come back! Such a good place to pick up dimsum to go! Even though English is spoken, there still was some miscommunication. I asked for the spare ribs rice roll and she almost gave me something else. I also ordered the BBQ pork mochi biscuit but she gave me a Red Bean one. Items are not really fresh. Spare ribs rice roll - This was so good and only $5.50 for a good sized portion. The rice rolls were soft! The pork tender, and I loved the sweet soy they give you on the side to pour over. Would come back for this. Mochi x 4 - They offer peanut, matcha red bean, and red bean. I'm not a matcha girl so didn't try that one but got 2 each of the peanut and red bean ones for $1.50 each. The mochi is a good size, loved the texture and chew. I didn't see anyone included a cross section of the peanut mochi so I made sure to get one for yall. TBH the red bean was more to my taste, and I really wish they had fruit options. The peanut one had a peanutty sugar inside, which was a bit too sweet for me. They're all rolled in coconut shreds too, so they're pretty messy. Hot dog bun - The bun is big but the dogs are tiny.. Also, the bun was dry af. The scallions on top were so toasted they fell off, and the weenies were also a bit dry.. They also didn't sit up nicely on the bun, but sank down into the holes on the bread. I took a bite of it "fresh" and wasn't impressed so took it home to heat up and dip in sauce. It's super bready... and just overall boring. Wouldn't waste the dollars on this. Sesame Ball x 2 - Small for the price. Not fresh at all even though we stopped by at 9 AM. Had a good chew once reheated and red bean filling was good, but def have had waaaay better. Red Bean Mochi Biscuit - Basically a pan fried stuffed mochi. Super super soggy. I wanted BBQ pork but got red bean instead. Same filling as the sesame ball. Decent, but could have been better texturally. All of this came out to $19.09. For $20, I would have expected better.

Normally, I hit up Yue Huang, but lately it's been giving "long wait, mild heartbreak." So I decided to branch out and found this hidden gem in Granite Bay...and let me tell you...BEST decision. You walk in and BAM!!!! Old school Chinese restaurant vibes. Red booths, classic decor, slightly run down in that "if these walls could talk, they'd recommend everything on the menu" kind of way. And if you know, you KNOW...that's when the food is about to slap. We came with a mission (aka hungry and slightly unhinged) and ordered: baked BBQ pork buns, shumai, har gow, shrimp rice rolls, pineapple baked custard buns, fried shrimp balls, and soup dumplings. Basically, if it could be steamed, fried, or stuffed...we said yes. It's clearly family run, which I love. Mom is running the show like a boss, kids are hustling, and since it was Mother's Day...CHAOS. Delicious chaos. Food flying out, servers holding trays of dumplings like treasures, stopping at your table and you're like "YES, THIS IS MY MOMENT"...and then they walk away to another table. Emotional rollercoaster. So many "Ooooh yay!" followed by "Ohhh man..." But honestly? It just built the suspense. Then OUR food arrived...and our eyes went WIDE. These dumplings are HUGE. Like, "one bite? absolutely not" huge. The BBQ pork buns were soft, fluffy, slightly sweet clouds of happiness. Har gow and shrimp rice rolls were perfectly steamed (no soggy sadness here ). Now, because it was busy, the shrimp had a bit of a split personality...some bites were perfectly snappy and delicious, others were just a little overcooked. Not tragic, just not living their absolute best life. But overall? Everything was GOOD. And then the check came...about $60 for ALL that food. I almost checked it twice like, "Ma'am...are you sure you charged me correctly?" Because that is a STEAL. What really got me though was the family. You could see the hustle, the stress, the love...all happening in real time. Even in the chaos, they were kind, smiling, and apologizing for the wait. That kind of heart hits different. Final verdict: great food, great value, and a whole lot of love. I'll definitely be back to try more of their main dishes. Until next dumpling craving...

Finally Returned to this restaurant! They fixed some of their service issues I had the first time I…read moredined here. Food is delicious! The golden shrimp rice rolls are the best! This time they did have the bean curd rolls which had noodles, veggies and a little meat. I do wish there were more veggies and meats served on the hong Kong house special noodles. They have decent lunch specials. My bf got the lemon chicken which he enjoyed. The egg roll did get a little soggy though bc it was soaked in the sauce.

UPDATE 4/6/2026…read more Prices are more transparent now than previously in the past. Menu items are more consistent now where as in the past the portion size would vary based off of your party size as I noticed before when ordering entree items. One time we had a party of two and ordered a dish and was smaller than when visiting with a party of 4. Same price you're paying you should get the same size portion regardless. Kings has made improvements over the years. The food is still great and worth going to!

The interior is as massive as ever and the dim sum carts are still rolling. What made this visit stand out was the service. The aunts and uncles working today were incredibly warm and welcoming. A few of them went out of their way to compliment our young daughters and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time. That level of friendliness wasn't always the case in the past, so this felt like a really pleasant and noticeable change. The food remains consistently solid and deeply nostalgic. Every bite brings back memories of younger days, and now it's special in a different way because we get to experience it again with our daughters. It feels like passing a small piece of the past on to the next generation. During our visit we experienced great food, genuine service, and a lot of nostalgia packed into one meal.
