Tried this place out to determine the best takeout dim sum in Sac. What we got: lo mai gai (3/5) -- a little small for the price, but packed with plenty of meat and fragrant. one major thing is I think the rice could be stickier chicken feet (5/5) -- tender, succulent, good black bean flavor, sticky siu mai (4/5) -- good quality, no complaints on flavor or texture portugese egg tart (4/5) -- I misread and pointed at these thinking these were dan taat. not what I wanted but the custard was very smooth and the crust was light and crisp shrimp cheung fun (3/5) -- the fun is too thick for me. hard to mess up flavor wise with the sauce but I would pass on this Need to try more items, overall solid place with decent prices

This is probably my new favorite place to grab dim sum. Everything that I've tried here has been delicious! They are better than the dim sum at some of the restaurants we've been to (except for the ha gow and cheung fun. The wrapping on the ha gow is thicker than restaurants and the cheung fun was not as silky soft, but good enough for the price you pay for). My top favorites is the big pork bun with green onion and the crispy baked bbq pork bun. The Portuguese egg tart and regular egg tarts are both spectacular! We also tried their iced hk milk tea which is nice and strong. If you order under $20, they will only accept cash only. Service was friendly and quick. Highly recommend you coming to try here! They are open regular hours on New Year's Eve.

Love this place! This is my go to meal after playing pickleball at Garcia bend park. The orders are pretty big and reasonably priced, and very tasty. The pineapple bbq pork bun is so fresh and tasty with lean meat, and is my bf's go to order. They have the best HK milk tea, and although it's a bit pricey for the size, it is the best one I've found so far. I just wish they had larger sizes. Make sure to bring cash, because you can only use card with $20+ orders. Additionally, they charge extra if you choose to dine in, so we usually order it to go to avoid the big fee. There's a couple tables inside if you do want to eat though. The line moves pretty quickly, and the parking lot is big because it's in a plaza.

Honestly, this place really hits the spot when you're craving dim sum or need a wonton soup ASAP. Conveniently located for those living in the Pocket-Greenhaven neighborhood. The staff are efficient and make some things fresh to order, like the wonton soup. It is more of a deli vibe with a few tables for sitting, but I think they thrive on to-go orders. Offerings - Siu Mai: Yup! These are good. I would say maybe 10% less good than ABC but the flavor and texture is definitely satisfactory. - Shrimp Noodle Roll: I can tell these are not made fresh to order but they still satisfy that craving. Not bad - Pork Bun: My husband is the connoisseur of these in our household and he says they are better than ABC, which is saying a lot. - Wonton Soup: This was excellent. The wonton skin was silky smooth and the broth was clear but flavorful. (I'm a bit sensitive to MSG and didn't have a strong reaction!) The wontons were pork only, but I noticed they did have pork and shrimp wontons at some point on their menu. Also, I wish they offered a full soup with veggies and noodles.

When you crave dim sum but don't want to do sit-down, this place is perfect for grabbing dim sum items to-go. I came on a weekday morning and there was only 1-2 others ahead in line. Got to grab my favorites: - Shu Mai - chicken and egg buns - taro dumpling - fried shrimp ball - pork spare ribs They also carry some frozen dim sum options in their freezers. Haven't tried them but good to know it's an option. If I lived closer, I'd probably frequent this place on a weekly basis.

Good products. $20 min on card purchase. Come with cash if you just want to try out a couple of things. Worth it either way.

So goood!!! I love dim sum my usual is Ming Dynsaty on broadway but I stopped here because I was in the area and I'm so happy I did. They sell frozen bags of dimsum which really caught my eye because my sister loves them, and the prices are pretty good as well. They have little sides of chili sauce and the sweet brown sauce (not sure what it is but I love it) and they fill their dumplings to the brim which I appreciate :) parking is great and wasn't too busy (Sunday afternoon).

Extremely poor QC on egg tarts, purchased 4, and they were all watery running. $2.75 each, and I had to rebake them, what a joke.

Came by on Thursday morning. No lines. Easy parking. Picked up green tea black sesame ball, curry beef pies, big chicken bun, big pork bun, meat and veggie bun, and purple yambun. All were pretty good and under $20. My hubby said meat was less fatty than ABC.

This is where we get our frozen dim sum and hot pastries. We like all their dim sum: they have siu mai, har gao, wrapped chicken rice, a variety of steamed buns, etc. The location has parking. It's so easy--grab, pay, and go. Sometimes, there may be a line for making payment. The staff was friendly and patient.

Today the visit is on a Saturday morning. This place is easy in and out. Fourth time here, they are fast and its an easy in and out. The show most of their food but not all. For example I didnt know what the pineapple bun looked talked until I got them. My favorite here is the pork congee which I did not get this morning. The prices and.portion sizes are excellent. Today, the noodle rolls were mediocre. Not the best in flavor and texture. The filling lacked taste, the shrimp a bit fishy, the noodle denser than I like. The pineapple buns are large, very good portion, sweet and tasty. They do have a couple tables here if you want to sit and eat, more a to go vibe.

My husband and I lived in the Bay Area for a while before moving to Davis for school, so our standards are pretty high. Unfortunately this is not going to be my new go to. Although the flavors of the food were pretty OK, we found everything to be really soft. Our shrimp and chive dumplings were literally disintegrating and my chicken feet were too soft. The sticky rice, however, and the tripe were delicious sui mai, and ha gao were pretty good, with the sui mai being pretty juicy. We paid $100 for 10 dishes! I know prices have gone up everywhere but this felt pretty steep. Overall, I don't think we'd come back. I would rather go to South Sacramento and eat dim sum there and then get my Asian grocery shopping done. Restaurant itself looked like a standard Chinese dim sum restaurant. Nothing to write home about.

We ordered two of their standout offerings: 1. Rib Steak with Mixed Mushrooms: This was exceptionally executed. The steak was tender, perfectly cooked, and the rich flavor of the mixed mushrooms complemented the meat beautifully. 2. The "One Live Fish, Two Dishes" Approach: We selected a live black cod ($20/lb) and had the kitchen prepare it two ways. This is where the culinary team shines--both preparations were fresh, expertly seasoned, and utilized the fish to its absolute potential. The interior design is simple and functional--nothing flashy, but perfectly fine for a casual meal or a family gathering. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, as the dedicated free parking lot is quite limited, so you may need to hunt for a spot during peak hours. The Drawbacks are Service, Restrooms, and Hidden Fees! While the food hits the mark, the rest of the experience is hit-and-miss. The service lacks consistency. Staff can be attentive one moment and completely absent the next. A major downside was the state of the restroom, which was noticeably stinky and poorly maintained. The most frustrating part of the night came at the end. Despite agreeing on the $20 per pound price for the live black cod to be made into two dishes, the final bill included two completely unmentioned, mystery fees: one for $5 and another for $3. While the amount isn't massive, the lack of transparency regarding upcharges for the two-dish preparation is incredibly unprofessional.

The restaurant itself has always been large, spacious, and beautifully decorated with chandeliers--it's definitely a nice venue for events like weddings. Their taro turnovers have always been a favorite of mine, and even after moving farther away, I still found myself coming back just for them. A few months ago, my husband and I had a really pleasant experience here. We ordered a variety of dim sum and ended up taking some home because everything was so enjoyable. My husband typically orders the spicy orange chicken and has always been satisfied with it. The service during that visit was also great--the server was sweet, attentive, and we even had some fun conversations. Unfortunately, our most recent visit yesterday was a completely different experience. We came in around 11:15 AM on a Tuesday expecting a nice, casual dim sum date. I ordered har gow, siu mai, sticky rice, and shrimp balls with sweet and sour sauce, and we waited for more of the dim sum carts to come around. As usual, I ordered the spicy orange chicken for my husband. It was already off to a rough start when communication with our servers became difficult. There seemed to be a significant language barrier, and it was challenging to get our concerns across. Things went downhill when we received the "spicy" orange chicken. It was not spicy at all and, more importantly, it was severely overcooked--hard, dry, and honestly unchewable. We ordered chicken, not beef jerky. When we brought this up, the staff seemed fixated on the spice level rather than listening to the main issue. They insisted that the dish was already spicy and interpreted our concern as a request for "extra spicy." Both my husband and I can handle spice differently, but we could agree there was no spice present, and that wasn't even the primary problem--the texture was. They took the dish back, and we assumed it would be remade. Instead, it was quickly returned to us with some chili sauce sprinkled on top--the same exact overcooked chicken. I could tell it hadn't been remade because the same broken piece of chicken was still on the plate. At that point, we were frustrated and had lost our appetites. I took the dish to the register myself to explain that the issue was the texture and that the chicken was inedible. It finally seemed to click, and they apologized and offered to remake it, but by then, it felt too late. I'm not one to give third chances when something should have been handled correctly the first or second time. To their credit, they did not charge us for the dish and were apologetic, but the entire experience felt unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. That's not the level of service I expect when I'm paying to support a business. It's especially disappointing because this was meant to be our last visit before moving out of state, and it ended on such a sour note. Sadly, after this experience, I definitely do not see myself returning.

When I got the pineapple buns in my hand they were still nice and warm, a decent size as well compared to some dimsum spots. The filling was nice and sweet, not the typical nai wong custard but a coconut, thicker filling that was nice and sweet. The bread was so soft as well and the crust was nice flaky and crunchy. It was very satisfying to bite into, no complaints here! 9/10 The sui mai was piping hot when I got it as well. They were very big and meaty and so fresh when I bit into them. Super juicy and fulfilling to eat! 8.5/10 Lastly the rice noodles, which are my favorite of all time dimsum foods. The shrimp one had such a good bite to it because of the shrimp. The rice noodles were thin and soft just how I like them! The beef one I wish had a bit more beef/beef flavor to it but still good! In addition the sweet soy sauce they give is a good balance of sweet and salty as well, would def recommend! 8.5 Overall I would definitely come back! Such a good place to pick up dimsum to go! Normally, I hit up Yue Huang, but lately it's been giving "long wait, mild heartbreak." So I decided to branch out and found this hidden gem in Granite Bay...and let me tell you...BEST decision. You walk in and BAM!!!! Old school Chinese restaurant vibes. Red booths, classic decor, slightly run down in that "if these walls could talk, they'd recommend everything on the menu" kind of way. And if you know, you KNOW...that's when the food is about to slap. We came with a mission (aka hungry and slightly unhinged) and ordered: baked BBQ pork buns, shumai, har gow, shrimp rice rolls, pineapple baked custard buns, fried shrimp balls, and soup dumplings. Basically, if it could be steamed, fried, or stuffed...we said yes. It's clearly family run, which I love. Mom is running the show like a boss, kids are hustling, and since it was Mother's Day...CHAOS. Delicious chaos. Food flying out, servers holding trays of dumplings like treasures, stopping at your table and you're like "YES, THIS IS MY MOMENT"...and then they walk away to another table. Emotional rollercoaster. So many "Ooooh yay!" followed by "Ohhh man..." But honestly? It just built the suspense. Then OUR food arrived...and our eyes went WIDE. These dumplings are HUGE. Like, "one bite? absolutely not" huge. The BBQ pork buns were soft, fluffy, slightly sweet clouds of happiness. Har gow and shrimp rice rolls were perfectly steamed (no soggy sadness here ). Now, because it was busy, the shrimp had a bit of a split personality...some bites were perfectly snappy and delicious, others were just a little overcooked. Not tragic, just not living their absolute best life. But overall? Everything was GOOD. And then the check came...about $60 for ALL that food. I almost checked it twice like, "Ma'am...are you sure you charged me correctly?" Because that is a STEAL. What really got me though was the family. You could see the hustle, the stress, the love...all happening in real time. Even in the chaos, they were kind, smiling, and apologizing for the wait. That kind of heart hits different. Final verdict: great food, great value, and a whole lot of love. I'll definitely be back to try more of their main dishes. Until next dumpling craving...
