Stopped by for lunch about 12. Odd nobody was there, but we sat down anyways. I had the BBQ pork chow mein noodles were cooked well, but tasteless. Also tried the honey garlic spareribs, which were a little too sweet for me but still good. Overall, the food was decent but unimpressive.

    Durian milk tea with boba

Decided to stop by since we were on the way to a local sushi restaurant and our order wasn't ready yet. This used to be iTea! The durian milk tea seemed really interesting so I ordered it, and my friend ordered the blueberry slush. The durian milk tea was underwhelming. It had the durian flavor, but something was off about it, like it wasn't fresh durian. The gasoline smell/flavor people often complain about was pretty strong, and this is coming from someone who absolutely loves durian. I would not order this again. The boba was also more on the chewy side and not sweetened much. I had a sip of the blueberry slush, and it was a very light blueberry yogurt sort of flavor, with like a very faint hint of tartness. It was pretty slush-y, and not creamy for obvious reasons. We didn't even change the sweetness levels on these drinks for there to be compromise in flavor, in case they actually did decrease the flavoring. I'd probably come back to try their 3-food item special, but I would not come back for the boba.

Maybe I just didn't get the right thing here... but for some reason the Tiger Milk wasn't quite what I wanted. To be fair I like my drinks REALLY sweet and this one seemed a bit watered down. It still was satisfying and fulfilling on such a hot day though! We did order in store and had to wait a bit - but you definitely could order online! They're still not open for indoor seating, so you walk in the door and order and wait outside for your drink. Overall, would come back and try something else though! There is also a small parking lot so no need to worry about finding parking!

If you're looking for a great spot to eat and sing karaoke at the same time you've found it! Servers very attentive and not too needy. Food: Half duck was delicious not too salty and spiced right very meaty most places you get more bones than meat. Chow mien: greasy and salty but the flavor where there. Drinks Overall not good we asked for 30 percent but got clawing sweet drinks. Wouldn't recommend the durian smoothie it taste very artificial. Drink:

A boba place, restaurant, and karaoke all located in one building!! A great late night option in Sacramento. I tried the orange chicken and coconut milk tea and both were good. The orange chicken has the perfect amount of crispy chicken covered in the tasty orange sauce. Workers are nice and helpful with any questions. The place has plenty of seating if you decide to dine in.

We just found this place pass by many time, but thought it was a Boba/karaoke place so we never stop by. One day decided to go ahead and go in and try it out was surprisingly it was a full restaurant and the food was surprisingly very good. Every dish we order was very tasty. I left there. Wonton noodle soup there, the place is very roomy and clean. The staff was very polite. We definitely come back.

Butterfly Mango & Brown Rice Milk Tea with Pudding

This is the same spot that was previously iTea, connected to the Star K-Tv Lounge. You can be seated and order off of a menu from there, or just go straight to the counter if you want drinks. The menu and the photos still looked like iTea so they must be transitioning still. I even ordered my usual iTea drink - brown rice milk tea. Drinks were just as good as the other iTea, at least they're a lot faster here. Unfortunately when we got our butterfly mango drink, it was spilling everywhere at the table and we realized it was because the cup was broken on the side! We spilled a lot out of the cup but all they did was pour the remainder in a new cup instead of making a new drink. Tables were kinda sticky. I also noticed the trash can was completely full when we got there, and it was even more full when we left. I'm talking cups falling off of the top because it was so full. It's right in front too so it's hard to miss. Definitely off putting. I wanted to try some food next time, although I'm not sure if it's the same food that's offered for Star KTV. But after this visit I'm pretty sure we'll be skipping this place and just visiting other boba shops.

Earl gray milk tea w extra boba

I wanted to check out this place, formerly iTea. Actually, Its exactly the same as before- but with a new name, branding and additional items on the menu. It's still attached to the restaurant/karaoke part. When this place was iTea, I initially was impressed: However in subsequent visits it went downhill in quality and service. I have been overcharged 2x and given wrong orders, walked out a few times because they failed to prepare boba, but I never got a chance to update my review, and I was hoping with the new "name" and products things might change? Unfortunately no. I walked in a few days after the name changed to check it out- but they had not prepared boba balls (which to me is the main reason you get a boba drink). The 2nd time, I came in during a busy lunch scene and they had everything. The prices are the same or higher and again the menu is almost the same as before. The girl at the counter was not in the best mood. I ordered my usual drink and it was more expensive than other places, but I had already committed to try it. I stood by the side and waited for my drink. I spied the girl making my drink and then dumping it out, but save the boba in some leftover liquid. She stopped and returned to help other customers. I waited about 10 minutes until she was done at the register while the other person behind the counter made other drinks. I did not say one word. I just waited. When my drink was ready she put it on the counter and walked away. I did not know it was for me or...? I asked and she was abrupt and scowled. What.ev.er. My name was not on the tea and there was a near identical drink right next to it. I had the Earl gray milk tea w extra boba. It was good, average good. The tea was too light, not much flavor and the boba was tasty (it almost always is) but they were just a bit too hard. Please do not misunderstand, even undercooked I was still going to eat my boba balls. Lol I'm sad because this place has not changed...even though the name has. It is easy to get to, w decent parking. In the end it's basically the same as before - poor customer service, with a sticky floor, that serves average drinks. What a bummer.

DONT SLEEP. $5 FOR 2 DRINKS. SO CHEAP.
    Elyse C.

A friend went today for the $5 for 2 drinks, which they still had a posted menu for. They get to the line, and teahub says they're not doing the 2 for $5 thing "right now." My friend asks if there's certain hours they're doing it. They don't give a clear answer, just say they're "not doing it right now." My friend asks if they don't do it on Fridays. Teahub, again, doesn't give a clear answer, says "not today." So my friend walked out. So basically they may or may not be doing the 2 for $5 depending on however they feel(???). You can take your chances. Also, they still have the 2/$5 menu listed there, and it doesn't have any limited hours for it so.... Bad business model. Why would they have a menu there if they don't honor it?? At least take it down! My friend wasted their gas driving out there just for boba, only to not get any.

    Phoebe T.

Their milk tea is decent, it tastes a lot sweeter than I prefer even though I usually get 30%. When we came in we were stared down like a hawk by the workers there. There was also a man in the back (I'm assuming the cook) that stood there just staring at us angrily looking. Another, is that this place doesn't look sanitary. Right next to the register there were dirty dishes just chillin there untouched. Overall I wouldn't go back to this place even though it's closer to home, I'd rather drive to i-Tea on Stockton where we feel more welcomed & cleaner

    Special dinner menu, 3/18/23

We had an excellent dinner at Tea Hub. The service was great and food came out within 15 minutes. We like ordering the braised beef brisket because it's very tender. The empress chicken was good. The chicken texture was firm and flavor was good. The green beans were good, but next time we will go back to ordering the garlic green beans because we are not a fan of spicy food. It wasn't that spicy though. Corn soup was perfect for a cold day especially with a little bit of white pepper sprinkled on top. The portions were big enough that we had leftovers for another meal.

Must try boba place!! My first time here. My sister & I was picking up some to-go from Sushi Cafe. We thought, why not try this place? We ordered Tiger sugar milk tea(my drink) & Oolong milk tea. I love my drink, it was not super sweet, which is how I like it. When you enter the door, there is a table blocking so its just enough room for 1 customer to order. They have paper menu & menu on the table. I would go back(:

My husband and I lived in the Bay Area for a while before moving to Davis for school, so our standards are pretty high. Unfortunately this is not going to be my new go to. So I'm planning my next trip here this week so I can enjoy the amazing cucumber salad (so fresh, crunchy and garlicky), their pepper beef clay pot (sizzling rice at the bottom for the win and big portions), their spicy tofu (umm what?!? So crispy) and their awesome skewers (the pork belly is my favorite). The space is small, so if you're planning on dining in during peak times, you may want a back up or take it to go as they only have a handful of tables inside and a few tables outside. There is parking but it is shared with other business so can get busy. The service is wonderful! The hostess/waitress was very friendly and everything came out relatively quick. It was nice enough that I tried to come here on a weekend night and it was packed full of families which is great but probably where I should have thought about it more. We went up to the counter and were told to wait a few minutes. I saw that a large table was clearing up so I didn't mind waiting. During this time a group came up behind us and I thought they were after us. One of the server waved in our general direction after cleaning up and splitting the table, so I thought they were gesturing to us since it has already been 10 minutes of waiting. Wrong, it was to the group behind us. Maybe it was communicated in mandarin that they had a reservation, I'm not sure. I waited for the next empty table, which was also taken by yet another group that magically appeared behind us as if they knew they were in line. I decided to leave after this. My issue is that I looked and talked to the staff multiple times and at no point, did they indicate there was a waitlist, nor did they take my name, or anything about people in front of us. It was really frustrating because being told it would be a few minutes set the wrong expectation. This is not the only place to get skewers so if you're left confused where you are in line, just come another weekday, speak mandarin, or go somewhere else like I did

The fried rice was a little more unique than I've personally tried before with pieces of beef and cabbage. But still very tasty. And the pork dishes we got including the sweet and sour were just incredible. One thing I do want to mention was some pieces of the pork did have a bone attached, but I honestly didn't mind it much. My only suggestion was just a little too sweet for me. Super juicy and fulfilling to eat! 8.5/10 Lastly the rice noodles, which are my favorite of all time dimsum foods. The shrimp one had such a good bite to it because of the shrimp. The rice noodles were thin and soft just how I like them! The beef one I wish had a bit more beef/beef flavor to it but still good! In addition the sweet soy sauce they give is a good balance of sweet and salty as well, would def recommend! 8.5 Overall I would definitely come back! Such a good place to pick up dimsum to go! I saw the sweet rice cake was very popular as well and would love to try that next time!

This place was poppin but I have to say, it's pretty hit or miss…read more Pros- The line moves fast, multiple people are taking orders. All the girls working the register were young and spoke English. Everything in the case is labeled and they also have menus posted on the wall and by the case. They do recommend you have a list ready when it's your turn to order. It helps with the flow of things. Prices are decent. In a plaza, so parking is abundant. Cons- Cash and debit cards only. Even though English is spoken, there still was some miscommunication. I asked for the spare ribs rice roll and she almost gave me something else. I also ordered the BBQ pork mochi biscuit but she gave me a Red Bean one. Items are not really fresh. Spare ribs rice roll - This was so good and only $5.50 for a good sized portion. The rice rolls were soft! The pork tender, and I loved the sweet soy they give you on the side to pour over. Would come back for this. Mochi x 4 - They offer peanut, matcha red bean, and red bean. I'm not a matcha girl so didn't try that one but got 2 each of the peanut and red bean ones for $1.50 each. The mochi is a good size, loved the texture and chew. I didn't see anyone included a cross section of the peanut mochi so I made sure to get one for yall. TBH the red bean was more to my taste, and I really wish they had fruit options. The peanut one had a peanutty sugar inside, which was a bit too sweet for me. They're all rolled in coconut shreds too, so they're pretty messy. Hot dog bun - The bun is big but the dogs are tiny.. Also, the bun was dry af. The scallions on top were so toasted they fell off, and the weenies were also a bit dry.. They also didn't sit up nicely on the bun, but sank down into the holes on the bread. I took a bite of it "fresh" and wasn't impressed so took it home to heat up and dip in sauce. It's super bready... and just overall boring. Wouldn't waste the dollars on this. Sesame Ball x 2 - Small for the price. Not fresh at all even though we stopped by at 9 AM. Had a good chew once reheated and red bean filling was good, but def have had waaaay better. Red Bean Mochi Biscuit - Basically a pan fried stuffed mochi. Super super soggy. I wanted BBQ pork but got red bean instead. Same filling as the sesame ball. Decent, but could have been better texturally. All of this came out to $19.09. For $20, I would have expected better.

Asian Pearl Restaurant is a true time-honored staple of the Sacramento Chinese culinary scene. Over…read morethe years, like any classic institution, it has seen its ups and downs. Yet, what amazes me most is its sheer resilience. In an area packed with over 120+ competing restaurants, Asian Pearl has managed to survive, adapt, and consistently draw a crowd. After dining there recently, it's easy to see why they still hold their ground: exceptional food and unbeatable value. Right now, they are running an absolute steal of a promotion. Following Mother's Day, they dropped the price of their live lobster to just $19.95 per pound--a massive 50% discount from their regular price of $39.95. We ordered a 3-pound lobster and had it tossed with egg noodles (the absolute best way to soak up all that incredible, savory seafood flavor). The lobster was perfectly cooked, sweet, and snapping fresh. To round out the meal, we added two classic dishes: Hong Kong Style Ribs and Beef with Tong Veggie (Tong Cho) and Chili Pepper: A fantastic balance to the rich meat and seafood, offering a great crunch and a subtle, fiery kick. The portions here do not skimp. The three of us ate our fill and still couldn't finish everything. (Take a look at the pictures to see just how generous these plates are!) While the food and prices are a triumph, the front-of-house experience can be a bit of a gamble. The restaurant seems to be running on a skeleton crew, with only four staff members handling the entire floor. Because of the lean staffing, service can be hit-or-miss. If you go in with the right expectations regarding service, you will have an incredible meal. With food this good and a live lobster deal that cuts the price in half, Asian Pearl proves exactly why it has survived the Sacramento restaurant wars for so long.
