Very touristy - we didn't see any locals during our weekday lunch - but the food was surprisingly good and authentic. My top recommendations for food: - Shrimp rice rolls (honestly, any of the rice rolls are a safe bet) - Beef tripe with black pepper sauce - Chicken feet with black bean sauce (they were especially tender) - Bean curd skin with pork Classic: - Turnip cake One-and-done (worth trying once, but wouldn't reorder): - Crispy tofu stuffed with shrimp (even the table next to us left it unfinished) Knocking off a star because: - Prices are relatively high compared to other dim sum spots - Tea is served by default and charged, which feels like you're hit with a table fee On the plus side, they accept cards, which is convenient if you don't carry cash.

The wait was shorter than I expected on a Saturday afternoon. The seating is tightly packed and it gets kind of loud. The restaurant doesn't have Chinese restaurant-like decor so it's not as nice looking as some other places. This is not a cart service dimsum place so if that's what you are looking for then you might want to try other places in Chinatown. Service was fairly quick. I enjoyed the food here but a few stood out like the eggplant shrimp and the lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice.

Fave dim sum. Not carts but plenty of options to order. Fast service and good for big groups. Off the main Chinatown strip so less busy

Okay sooo Dim Sum Go Go moves fast, like in a positive way. Staff kept things flowing, tea refills were quick, and the bill didn't sting for how much we ate. Big plus: lots of choices for both vegetarians and meat-eaters, so our table laid plentiful of steamer baskets. Where it lost me: the space itself is cramped and packed, and the flavors are nothing terribly alluring for me. Nothing was bad, but nothing wowed me either; it feels geared toward a broader, more Americanized palate. End of the day, it's a convenient, reliable stop if you're nearby or with a mixed-diet group. I'll look elsewhere when I'm craving standout dim sum, but this is a fine "in the neighborhood" pick.

Our group of six walked in just before 6pm with no reservations and we were seated right away. The restaurant is not the traditional dim sum carts style. You order from menus that have a few pictures to help guide you. We ordered a variety of dishes for the table and everything was delicious. For the amount of food we got, the total came out to about $150. I think that is a great price for New York. The space is tight like most places in the city but we still enjoyed our meal and left happy.

Decided to try this cute looking dim sum spot! It's okay, but I don't think I would go back. I was shocked they charge for tea here (never heard of a dim sum spot charging for tea...) The soup dumplings were not good and there's plenty of better places in Chinatown you can grab soup dumplings from. Shumai was flavorful but dry. The hargao tasted good but wrappers immediately fell off from the fillings. Service was slow and I had to try to get the server's attention. All in all, it was overpriced and there's other places nearby with better AND cheaper dim sum

Met up with some friends for a Sunday brunch since we didnt have dim sum in a long time. Ordering is manual on a paper menu. There is also a regular menu that provides pictures of the dishes. Service is fast and friendly. Servers are around if you need anything. There is upstairs and downstairs seating. Downstairs was filled, but there was plenty of room upstairs. There is a variety of dim sum but we went with some of the regulars like shrimp dumpling, turnip cakes, spring rolls that we haven't had in awhile. Food comes out quick and is hot and tasty. My favorite is the eggplant with stuffed shrimp. A lot of these dishes remind me of childhood and growing up. It is a bit on the pricey side for dim sum but enjoyable and not too bad if splitting amongst friends.

There is no doubt that the cart-chasing excitement of conventional dim sum establishments is part of the fun of having dim sum. While most Chinatown dim sum destinations might boast about their traditional cart service, they often come with hour-long waits that can dampen the experience. And sometimes I just want a relaxed dim sum experience with minimal wait time and maximum flavor. For those occasions, Dim Sum Go Go is go! One thing that sets Dim Sum Go Go apart is their tasty, beautifully crafted and colorful dumplings. - The mushroom dumplings (mushrooms, Chinese celery, carrots) burst with earthy flavors and different textures. - Their chicken dumplings (minced chicken with Chinese celery) arrive wrapped in striking bright red beet juice-dried crystal wrappings. - The jade dumplings (asparagus, edamame, and baby corn) come in translucent black sesame seed crystal wrappings. Equally impressive are the crab dumplings (crab meat, shrimp, and Chinese broccoli stem) with their vibrant green color. - No dim sum experience would be complete without shrimp dumplings, and Dim Sum Go Go's version features plump, perfectly cooked shrimp with just the right amount of snap. Beyond dumplings, both their rice rolls with beef and the ones with shrimp are solid choices. The crispy tofu stuffed with shrimp paste offers a wonderful textural contrast: crunchy exterior giving way to a combination of delicate tofu and savory shrimp filling. I have been coming to Dim Sum Go Go regularly for years, and this place has always been reliable. It might not have the extensive selection of larger establishments, but what they do offer is consistently delicious and beautifully presented, in a relaxed setting.

The most important meal of the day starts with Dim Sum!! There's no alcohol here but you can byob! A cold one goes perfectly with endless dumplings!! We pretty much ordered them all! My favorite is always the shrimp with the flat noodle in the chili oil. Get two orders of these. Trust me. It's not a grab and go cart type of dim sum. You order and they bring them fresh. The fried rice is a must to sop up all the dumpling juiciness. I highly recommend if you're in the area. Look no further and go go to Go Go!!!

We did the dim sum sampler and it was great! Went on a Friday afternoon and didn't have to wait for a table.

Dim Sum Go Go is a perfect place to go and sit down to grab a bite to eat to take a break from exploring nyc. Everything is ordered a la carte and the dumplings and pot stickers were some of the best I have ever had. They come out pipping hot and come packed with flavor. It is served with the traditional Chinese tea. If you are in Chinatown I can't recommend this place enough for dim sum.

Popped in on a hot summer Sunday and was immediately pleased by the robust air conditioning. There is plenty of room to sit as the restaurant also has dining upstairs. Tables were comfortable, service exceptional! The dim sum menu is fairly extensive and we ordered several items. All were served fresh and hot with two sauces on the side. Our favorite dish was the shrimp dumplings. They were tasty, cooked just right and were full of shrimp. Pricing was reasonable. We will be coming back!

Came here on a food tour. Lots of space. The steamed dumplings were really tasty. The fried potstickers were fine. It's the newer style where you fill out a sheet. It's not the best I've had but it's good still.

Good food but no better than the other good dim sum spots. And it's great that it's BYOB. But terrible rude service. Never again.

Dish highlights include the shrimp and chive dumplings, beef chow fun, and my personal favorite, the stuffed eggplant. Other items were a little bland, like the turnip cakes and har gow, and the pan fried shrimp noodles were awkwardly plated and made them difficult to eat. I also wish they had rice noodle rolls, which I didnt see on the menu. Really what pushed it to 5 stars to me was the service. We came as a huge group of 20, with a baby and stroller in tow, and they handled everything without so much as a grimace, just an outpouring of helpfulness. They sat half our group at a round table and the other half at a rectangular long table and also helped us navigate dietary restrictions, asking specifically who in the group had those restrictions. The menu is labeled too, so you know which items are vegetarian or gluten free. At one point our helpful server noticed we hadn't really touched that awkwardly plated noodle dish and offered to replace it with another. We didn't take him up on that as I'd find that wasteful but I thought that was so attentive and earned them a generous tip. The space is nice looking, and the food came out very quickly. We also didn't break the bank, even with plenty of drink orders. Dao's is an easy recommendation, especially when you factor in how seamlessly they handled our chaos.

I was browsing for places with scallion pancakes and I came across this restaurant. I saw they had a scallion pancake beef rook which I'd never seen before. It was fried and crispy on the inside with tender beef on the inside, that was slightly savory slightly sweet. I had the roll on its own, which made for a light meal, but it can also be enjoyed as a large snack. It was a little greasy, which can be expected, but not sure if I'd get it again. I did think it was innovative though. The most impressive thing about the restaurant was actually the space. I came to pick up my food and was surprised to see this beautiful place. The outside is unassuming and nothing special but inside has the aesthetic of an old Shanghai restaurant. It's ornate and slightly quirky. It's also really big, bigger than I expected. Even the bathrooms had traditional Chinese flare with the sliding doors. Definitely worth checking out,
