    Not 3 cup chicken
    Ivan M.

I got the beef pancake wrap, which is good but I was really disappointed with the three cup chicken. I thought I got the wrong item. There was nothing remotely about this dish that resembles 3 cup chicken. Disappointing.

Got this all to go and ate on a nearby bench. Loved the string beans. So flavorful and spicy. The sauce on those is to die for. The soft pork buns are nice texture. It's all warm and delicious! The scallion pancake we got was like a wrap and I wish we'd gotten a regular pancake.

Dropped in for a quick bite, had the Dan Dan noodles with some peanut sauce and the short ribs with plum sauce, both were sooo goood. Plating and presentation were done so nicely. The short ribs were tender and the sauce was not overly sweet. The peanut sauce helped mild down the spice in the noodles. Had their lychee margarita for happy hour, a yes yes yes for me. Great cocktail. Would definitely visit again. Really nice service, beautiful warm place esthetically. Looked really clean.

Went here for a dinner to try dumplings dim sum but it didn't have what i was looking for but pivoted and got other recommendations from our waiter Got dry stir fry hot pot which was packed with lots of food like beef and daikon tofu etc but was very greasy and had a zingy spice i wonder if it's Szechuan pepper or something. it was a ton of flavor and authentic! the stir fry beef rice noodles were pretty good and valid for the western palette. the tiny pan fried chicken dumplings were pretty tiny but cute to eat. i don't think i'd come back here not because of the food but my own cuisine preference but it was worth a try! the waitress staff was very polite and patient with me. and the ambiance had nice decorations very cozy lighting B- 7/10

A Hidden Gem with Exquisite Dim Sum & Exceptional Warmth From the moment I walked into Dim Sum Bloom, I was enveloped by an atmosphere of genuine care and culinary artistry. Every dish--from the delicate har gow to the perfectly crisp scallion pancakes--was a masterclass in flavor, texture, and freshness. The attention to detail is evident not only in the food but in the presentation and ambiance as well. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the warmth of the service. The team treats you like family--eager to guide you through the menu, share their favorites, and make sure your experience is memorable from start to finish. If you're looking for a spot that blends authentic flavors with modern charm and heartfelt hospitality, Dim Sum Bloom is it. A true five-star experience--I'll absolutely be back (and bringing friends!). Our waitress 's : JULIE AND LEE - absolutely top notch warmth and experience , not only did they make my first day back in the city so delightful simply my stomach is aching with joy

Overall delighted with the service and options here. I came randomly for lunch before a drs appt. Theirs lunch special is delicious and very convenient, 2 dim sum plates with the choice of egg drop and I think miso soup. Dim sum options are plentiful and filling. I was really content with a order of garlic wings, duck rolls, and pork dumplings. I'm excited to Comeback and try their dumping and soda special. The tiny dumplings are so freaking cute. Dumpings despite their size were filling and delicious. Duck roll had a great balance of meat and veggies. Egg drop soup was also very tasty. I will definitely be back.

    Kung Pao Shrimp

I was exhausted Sunday night after working all weekend, and as a treat to myself, I ordered Kung Pao Shrimp and cold noodles with sesame paste. II was a splurge that I really couldn't afford, so imagine my disappointment to discover that the shrimp dish was all peanuts, water chestnuts, and chili with some shrimp and the noodles were positively tasteless. I had asked for no utensils, but they also didn't include any condiments, so I had no way to make up for the lack of flavor. If I hadn't been so tired, I would've walked to the four blocks back and returned it. $40 burned.

If you're looking for authentic Chinese Cuisine Dim Sum Bloom is really a great restaurant to dine at. Here I experienced Authentic Hand Made Dim Sum and Delicious Appetizers and Entrees. For my Appetizer the ribs were cooked to perfection and the meat was just the right amount of tender. I enjoyed all of the dim sum options that I ordered. My favorite was the Hong Kong Style Shrimp Dumplings. I also loved the Sichuan Sicy Wonton In Red Oil . I had the General Tso Chicken for my entree and it was delicious. I also really enjoyed the Lucy Lui cocktail , it was sweet and refreshing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very beautiful , and the service was great I would highly recommend Dim Sum Bloom it is perfect for any dining occasion. Tiny pan-fried dumplings

This used to be Shun Lee's uptown location, now named Dim Sum Bloom, and in this case the bloom is certainly still on the rose. Pretty much the same menu, the same great service (seriously, it stands out) and GREAT food. My steady and I came here on a humid-hot-rainy Sunday and sat in the roomy glassed-in porch-like area on Broadway. The AC is top notch -- not too cold; Goldilocks just right. But heck with that, let's talk food! Turnip cake dumplings -- GET THESE. I'm a turnip cake fanatic and the dumpling format is something to savor. Lotus leaf rice with vegetarian chicken.... Do not hesitate, GET THESE! Tiny pan-fried dumplings, um, wanna guess what I'm gonna say? Yeah, get these. Basically, everything I have ever ordered here has pleased me and keeps me coming back.

If you're looking for authentic Chinese food, this is the perfect place. Ideally go with people because almost all the dishes are made to share and the portions are nice. I went by myself since I was craving soup dumplings and just had to try a few dishes. I know it was a lot for one person but definitely worth it. ( leftovers were delicious the next day as well.) I tried their pork and crab dumplings since Jordan my waiter recommended these and they did not disappoint. The dim sum menu has a lot of options but I went with that Jordan recommended. Also, tired the colorful dumplings. Each dumpling is a different flavor. It's a fun way to try a variety of delicious dumplings. I definitely will be back when I'm in the area. The service was excellent and the food was simply incredible.

    Red chili oil wontons

Damn good red chili oil wontons. I get this dish everywhere, and every place does it a little differently. This random dim sum spot has the best flavor of it I've had in a very long time. The lotus wrapped sticky rice had overly hard rice on the sides, so was meh. But would come back just for those chili wontons

Very good dumplings. The Shanghai Soup Dumplings and Tiny Pan Fried Dumplings were the best dishes that we had. The Barbecue Spare Ribs were disappointing. The room is very comfortable. The service was slow.

We wandered over here after visiting the Empire State Building; it was only a five minute walk away! We went after watching the sunset, so around 8-ish, and were pleasantly surprised we didn't have to wait for a table. The atmosphere was bright and lively, but not too much to bring our seven-year-old. We ordered: PORK DUMPLINGS-- best thing we ordered. My. Goodness. The broth was perfectly seasoned and silky. Was always a little sad after the last bit of soup from each dumpling was slurped. ;) Meat inside was tender and flavorful and the wrapper wasn't too thin or thick. Just the right thickness to keep the soup inside until you were ready, but not so thick that it was too chewy or distracting from the contents. Also ordered, the SPICY BEEF DUMPLINGS as recommended by our server. They were yummy. Tasty soup and beef had a deeper flavor. Not too spicy. Next time, we will probably just order extra pork dumplings or try something new. We ordered the SCALLION PANCAKES. I prefer my scallion pancakes thinner. These were a lot like the thickness of a dense pita. Still enjoyed them-- still a nice texture that was both soft and crispy, perfectly greasy, and flavorful. CRISPY CHILI CHICKEN (or something like that) was good but nothing special. Had some heat but not too spicy. CUCUMBER SALAD-- was a nice cold addition to the meal. Loved the sesame oil, just wish there was more, as well as more flavor. We ended up pouring a little soy sauce on top and that helped. I thought it was nice to chase a bite of crispy chili chicken with a bite of cucumber. WHITE RICE-- we ordered three orders of rice that was perfectly prepared, but way too much for three adults. Not complaining, but each bowl would have probably been enough for two adults. Can't wait to return!

Our nits: one of the items we ordered got lost somehow, though they never admitted it; we had to keep asking for the item, and it finally came after we had finished all of our other items. There was no apology or offer to give us a discount for their misstep. Also, when we showed up for dinner there was a 30 minute wait and one had to stand in the hallway during that wait. Next time we'll swing by earlier to get the check-in code to find out how long the wait is in advance. The good news is that our first three items came out pretty quickly after ordering; and the place is very fast with the turnover.

Dish highlights include the shrimp and chive dumplings, beef chow fun, and my personal favorite, the stuffed eggplant. Other items were a little bland, like the turnip cakes and har gow, and the pan fried shrimp noodles were awkwardly plated and made them difficult to eat. I also wish they had rice noodle rolls, which I didnt see on the menu. Really what pushed it to 5 stars to me was the service. We came as a huge group of 20, with a baby and stroller in tow, and they handled everything without so much as a grimace, just an outpouring of helpfulness. They sat half our group at a round table and the other half at a rectangular long table and also helped us navigate dietary restrictions, asking specifically who in the group had those restrictions. The menu is labeled too, so you know which items are vegetarian or gluten free. At one point our helpful server noticed we hadn't really touched that awkwardly plated noodle dish and offered to replace it with another. We didn't take him up on that as I'd find that wasteful but I thought that was so attentive and earned them a generous tip. The space is nice looking, and the food came out very quickly. We also didn't break the bank, even with plenty of drink orders. Dao's is an easy recommendation, especially when you factor in how seamlessly they handled our chaos.

I won't point out any particular dish as being awful or exceptional, because that's the problem I have with this place overall. Nothing stands out in any sort of way. Everything here kind of just tastes the same, which bothers me because the flavor profile of these dishes should all be tasting vastly different. Most of the dishes carry this overwhelmingly strong oil taste, especially in their fried meats, that kind of just makes them all taste kind of mediocre. The typical Dim Sum dishes, while serviceable, just kind of feels rushed flavor wise with little care put into them, leading them to taste kind of like nothing. The only dish that I would actively order is their noodle, which carries a more distinct light yet rich flavor that complements their noodles, but even then I feel as though the meat and egg feel like afterthoughts in the dish that don't really add to it in any way. The last problem I have with this place is their sauce station, which though kind of them to offer quite a few sauces to add to your dim sum, is just a really messy and unsanitary area which threw off my meal. I wanted to like this place, given that I love eating dim sum, but this wasn't it for me.
