Exceptionally fresh fish in a stunning setting. Service is prompt and cheerful. Dog and kid-friendly. Sit in the shade at a picn8c table, inside if it's rainy or at the long counter, watching the waves.

I've been to the coastal kitchen a handful of times and they always have delicious hot plates as well as drinks. I also love their ice cream/soft serve they have! They have an adorable little marketplace that's attached with their own retail items as well as any sunscreen or sand equipment you might need! Every employee I've seen has been very welcoming and helpful and they seem to love working there as well. I've actually heard them singing as they're restocking and I think it's cute. They feel so at home while at work. I honestly love this little beach community and like how clean and respectful everybody seems to be on the beach itself! I can't wait to get a little Airbnb and stay here for the weekend!!

Fried chicken sandwich with mixed greens salad.
    Mark K.

I actually wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The pickles were spicier than I was expecting but I managed to deal with heat. The sandwich came with a salad of mixed greens (plus arugula - yum) and was topped with a light vinegar based dressing. Both were very good. The young guy at the register was very friendly. It was a gorgeous warm day at Dillon and the view was epic. I will be back.

Well, I sure was thankful for this place on Saturday. After stopping by at the pizza place in Tomales and finding out they had run out of food, I seemed to have very few options. Luckily, we had stayed in Dillon Beach before and remembered there was a restaurant here ( although it was closed last time). So we came on down and checked out this location. Anyone who's been to Dillon Beach knows parking is a bit difficult to find and this place is no exception. However, the place is beautiful, the service is pretty good for a walk up type of location, and the food is delicious. Very happy with my burger and fries- I'm sure we will be back.

Toddler size chowder tin. You need the large for grown adults.
    Alex R.

I bought the $10 metal tin of chowder. They should definitely show the size before you purchase. It's super small and barely filled 3/4 . This is definitely toddler size. It came with a thin slice of fried bread. There was more vegetables than anything else swimming around the light chower sauce. Since there is nothing else to eat for miles around, I'll give it a 3 star.

The only thing I'm sad about after my first visit here is that I didn't find this place sooner! Such a cute little beach restaurant with an amazing view and they are very dog and child friendly. I mean what else could you want? Oh yeah the food was great too! I went here with my family for my birthday lunch well actually we went to the beach and I wanted clam chowder after that. I yelped clam chowder from Dillon beach and it said this place was like right there. Dillon is my favorite local beach so I was shocked I just now found this spot now. I will definitely be back and soon. The service was fast and friendly also patient with our not so well behaved dogs ‍ They literally barked at her when she brought us the food. So shameful but she didn't seem bothered at all. Like I said they were very dog friendly with dog water bowls all over the patio area and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. There were in door seats too but most everyone sat outside bc it was a nice day and the entire patio is over looking the beach.

Three things that make this a great lunch spot: maybe the best fish and chips around that come with a house made mayo herb dipping sauce, the seasonal salad (today it had fresh greens, ripe melon and Oaxaca cheese), and the view of Dillon beach and Tómales Bay. Dog friendly outdoor seating.

Hubby and I grabbed a bite here on our first night as we weee settling in and thought the food was decent. We ordered the clam chowder, fried chicken sandwich and fish & chips. The best thing was honestly the fries - super crisp and well seasoned!

    Sunny dining room

Yes we live right by the Dillon Beach Resort but we hadn't been to Coastal kitchen in a long while but our friends insisted that it was seriously good. We walked in and really loved the sunny and beach space. We grabbed a table and ordered at the service station. The happy hour special (3-5) was for three rock cod fish tacos and a beer. We also ordered ish and chips. The drinks came out promptly with the henhouse beer ruling the roost. The fish tacos were beautiful with a large chunk of fish, fresh shredded cabbage and a soft tortilla. The real kicker was their incredible house made hot sauce. A grilled fish option would have been nice. The fish a chips were super fresh and hot with a light batter that realized complimented the fish. This place is definitely one of the best dining options in the area.

The restaurant's large windows provide beautiful waterfront views no matter where you're seated. Our waitress (whose name I unfortunately forgot) was fantastic. She mentioned she'd been there for 14 years, which says a lot in itself. She was friendly, knowledgeable about every dish, and gave us excellent recommendations. I know Caesar dressing contains anchovies, but I was hesitant about having actual fish on my salad. I'm so glad she encouraged me to try the cooked anchovies on the side--they were delicious. Perfectly salty and a great complement to the salad. The pork chop entrée was perfection! The pork was cooked beautifully, and the bread pudding side was just as memorable. I'm not entirely sure what was in it, but it reminded me of garlic bread in the best way. The applesauce was also a nice touch. The halibut was cooked perfectly as well, and the mashed potatoes practically melted in your mouth. For sides, the grilled asparagus was exactly what you'd hope for, and the crispy potatoes lived up to their name, perfectly seasoned with a great crunch. The soup of the day was a creamy spring onion soup with crispy pancetta. Although just as delicious as everything else ordered, its the one plate we wished the portion was bigger for the price it was going for. We've eaten at plenty of restaurants, but this may be the first time where every single thing we ordered--from the entrées to the sides and sauces--was a 10/10. Needless to say, this won't be our last visit. It was absolutely worth it and such a memorable part of our anniversary trip to Bodega Bay.

The time between ordering and receiving food was lengthy. It is possible that they were understaffed for a Mothers Day brunch. However, our waitress did check in before food arrived, to let us know the status of our order. Almost everything that we ordered was under $20. This was as opposed to a place like The Flamingo, which was charging $70 *per person* for its Mothers Day brunch. Drakes has a great view, but the most comfortable booth seating is on the wall, farthest from the windows. The tables at the windows are only for 2 (our party was 3).

And even better to know the food and drinks are as great as they always were! While staying with friends in this lovely golf community, we stopped at the Links at Bodega Harbour to check it out and decided to stay for dinner. The menus offered up some tasty sounding dishes! And they did not disappoint. Three of us ordered the crab cakes while two went for the traditional hamburger and fries. Everyone was happy with their choices. Crab cakes were on point! Lots of crab with little filler. Really rich and moist served with a light sauce, which complimented them so well. Hamburgers were big and juicy with lots of crispy fries. In the beverage department, I selected the Quivira Sauvignon Blanc, which was wonderful. You rarely see this winery on restaurant wine lists, so I was quite excited. It is so delightful and perfect with crab cakes. (Menu photos of everything are included.) By the time we were finished, every seat was filled. It is a small area with maybe 7 seats at the bar and a mixture of tables and high tops rounding out the rest of the room. Very cozy. A gorgeous view of the ocean and golf course, too, as the restaurant is on the second level of the building. Casual dining at its best! Alex and his helper were working hard. Five-star customer service for sure. Shout out to them both! I highly recommend Bluewater Lounge for a place to stop where you will have quality food, a full bar, and people who strive to give the highest customer experience to everyone! Open for dining Wednesday, Thursday (live music), Friday (bingo or live trivia), Saturday, and Sunday (brunch). (It's always smart to call for specific open hours.) Parking plentiful. Did I mention they give a nice wine pour too!!! Cheers!

It was sunny with temperatures in the mid-60s, which felt more like spring than winter. The week before the area was flooded with rain. It's rare to find a local, non-chain that specializes in hot dogs. This place is a fun, very casual, local favorite and great if you are craving a great hot dog or burger. They have an excellent selection of classic and custom hot dogs, including a legit Chicago dog, plus hand-cut fries and burgers. Everything is made fresh and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the hot dog was honestly one of the best I have had. I only wish I could make them this good at home. Seating is available both inside and outside, and the vibe is very relaxed. It is super friendly, very local, and dog-friendly in the best way. Real dogs are welcome, not just the ones on the menu. They also have a good selection of beers, which pairs nicely with the food. Parking is easy and plentiful since it is right next to the local post office. If you are looking for a casual, fun, and delicious lunch spot in Bodega Bay, The Dog House is a must-stop. One of the best hot dog joints we have been to and highly recommended. We had also tried Grossman's Noshery & Bar from the same restaurant group and were happy with the food there. I also heard good things about their other restaurants, so it should not have been a surprise that we were also impressed with the food here. Food is served tapas style and honestly, all the dishes sound appetizing. On this visit, we tried a few dishes. I wish I came with a more empty stomach to try more things. We ordered their crispy maitake mushrooms, steamed local black cod, and grilled house-made lamb sausage. Everything was delicious! The crispy maitake mushrooms came with a fish sauce which gave a nice brightening note to eat with fried food. Lemon was also fried with them to help cut any grease, so overall this dish did not feel oily or heavy. The steamed local black cod's ginger scallion oil surprisingly paired very well with the black truffle pesto. It had an earthy flavor profile that was brightened by the ginger. The cod was perfectly cooked and the mushrooms soaked up all of that saucy goodness. I loved this dish! The grilled house-made lamb sausage was Thai inspired and you could definitely taste the spices in the sausage. I actually would've liked more of the tamarind BBQ sauce and basil salad on this dish to help counter the lamb's spiciness a bit, but I enjoyed the dish. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and came out quickly. The restaurant is housed in what looks like a historic house, so it was a very cozy environment. We weren't especially hungry, so we opted for a selection of sides, plus my friend is a fan of mussels, so we tried their weekly special. While seafood isn't my usual preference, the broth was delicious with a warm heat to it. Next up were the Mushroom à La Grecque, which I found on the sides menu. Simple, but tasty. The Grilled Asparagus could've learned something from the simplicity of the mushroom dish. It's trying to do so much. The crumbled hard-boiled egg and the marcona almonds, which lost most of their crunch. The gremolata wasn't noticeable and the seasonings weren't a garnish as much as a layer atop the vegetables.
