Decided to go have a snack before heading back from our walk. We had the clam chowder and fries. The french fries were very good and cooked to perfection. The clam chowder was a very good as well. It had lots of clams in it and had a very good taste. The only thing I recommend was for the chowder to be a little hotter. For it was kinda just lukewarm They have inside and outside seating and you do have to order at the counter before being seated. This is a cute little restaurant over looking the beach with amazing views.

One of the specials, rock crab in garlic butter.

Four stars is the perfect fit, and this represents the whole package, food, service and atmosphere. The food by itself is good (dishes feel like they are missing something), but the customer service is great! The restaurant is always clean and inviting with a beautiful view.

My husband stayed here and ate her for dinner both nights. Service is great. Food is great. Drinks are great. Every single item was so good. We had the burger, poke bowl, chicken sandwich, and the clam chowder. Everything 10/10

Exceptionally fresh fish in a stunning setting. Service is prompt and cheerful. Dog and kid-friendly. Sit in the shade at a picn8c table, inside if it's rainy or at the long counter, watching the waves.

I've been to the coastal kitchen a handful of times and they always have delicious hot plates as well as drinks. I also love their ice cream/soft serve they have! They have an adorable little marketplace that's attached with their own retail items as well as any sunscreen or sand equipment you might need! Every employee I've seen has been very welcoming and helpful and they seem to love working there as well. I've actually heard them singing as they're restocking and I think it's cute. They feel so at home while at work. I honestly love this little beach community and like how clean and respectful everybody seems to be on the beach itself! I can't wait to get a little Airbnb and stay here for the weekend!!

Fried chicken sandwich with mixed greens salad.

I actually wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The pickles were spicier than I was expecting but I managed to deal with heat. The sandwich came with a salad of mixed greens (plus arugula - yum) and was topped with a light vinegar based dressing. Both were very good. The young guy at the register was very friendly. It was a gorgeous warm day at Dillon and the view was epic. I will be back.

Well, I sure was thankful for this place on Saturday. After stopping by at the pizza place in Tomales and finding out they had run out of food, I seemed to have very few options. Luckily, we had stayed in Dillon Beach before and remembered there was a restaurant here ( although it was closed last time). So we came on down and checked out this location. Anyone who's been to Dillon Beach knows parking is a bit difficult to find and this place is no exception. However, the place is beautiful, the service is pretty good for a walk up type of location, and the food is delicious. Very happy with my burger and fries- I'm sure we will be back.

Toddler size chowder tin. You need the large for grown adults.
    Alex R.

I bought the $10 metal tin of chowder. They should definitely show the size before you purchase. It's super small and barely filled 3/4 . This is definitely toddler size. It came with a thin slice of fried bread. There was more vegetables than anything else swimming around the light chower sauce. Since there is nothing else to eat for miles around, I'll give it a 3 star.

The only thing I'm sad about after my first visit here is that I didn't find this place sooner! Such a cute little beach restaurant with an amazing view and they are very dog and child friendly. I mean what else could you want? Oh yeah the food was great too! I went here with my family for my birthday lunch well actually we went to the beach and I wanted clam chowder after that. I yelped clam chowder from Dillon beach and it said this place was like right there. Dillon is my favorite local beach so I was shocked I just now found this spot now. I will definitely be back and soon. The service was fast and friendly also patient with our not so well behaved dogs ‍ They literally barked at her when she brought us the food. So shameful but she didn't seem bothered at all. Like I said they were very dog friendly with dog water bowls all over the patio area and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. There were in door seats too but most everyone sat outside bc it was a nice day and the entire patio is over looking the beach.

Hubby and I grabbed a bite here on our first night as we weee settling in and thought the food was decent. We ordered the clam chowder, fried chicken sandwich and fish & chips. The best thing was honestly the fries - super crisp and well seasoned!

Seemed to only have 1 person taking orders and also distributing orders so things were slow. Chowder was also my favorite one from this trip and my kids loved their chili (they sell bread loaves on the side if you need a dipper). Pro tip: not much parking, prepare for side of road and walk. That way we can skip the line and get a taste of this first thing in the morning! We thought this was gonna be a heavy breakfast, but I think portion came out just right. Between my partner and I, we shared a Crab Sandwich, Manhattan Clam Chowder and a Bay Shrimp Cocktail. Pretty much no wait for our order since there was no line. They have a seating area outdoor, but it kinda looks like they just manage the kitchen and everything else is self service. The Crab Sandwich was delicious!! There was a generous amount of crab stuffed in a roll that came out warm. It wasn't too saucy and the sauce didn't overwhelm the taste of the crab meat. The roll was neither too dense or fluffy - has a bit of a crunch and bite to it. I think my favorite this morning was the Manhattan Clam Chowder though. Probably because it was a grey and chilly morning, so this bowl was really comforting. I like the mild tartness of the tomato base. There's also lots of chewy bits in the chowder from the seafood they add on there. It tasted really good! Last but not least, the shrimp cocktail. Taste was great, but I just wasn't feeling this for this morning. My partner liked it though! Fresh tasting little bites and the cocktail sauce was great in adding some extra tangy flavor. I'm glad we checked this off our list! Spud provided an awesome start to our morning. Of course I wouldn't mind having this again, but definitely not when there is a wait.

Reyes getaway, so we hit this spot, a short walk from our Airbnb. First and foremost, great service. The folks working there were genuinely friendly, attentive, and helpful. Thank you, good sir. I am still genuinely amazed at how nice people are in these small, off-the-beaten-path towns, as opposed to in the overpacked rat cage urban areas. Popular spot, with a good number of bicyclists, passers-through, and locals coming in for coffee and eats. They have an impressive selection of pastries and sandwiches, and I really wish I had tried the veggie croissant which looked great. We got coffees and shared a slice of quiche. I got my usual iced coffee, and happily, they had oat milk to go with it. After we paid, we realized they also have momos, so you know we had to get a round. We left happy, awake, and ready for another day.

We had a tasty lunch with raw oysters and a jalapeño mignonette sauce, smoked trout dip, and a bowl of the chowder. The smoked trout dip was pretty good with the chip and pickled onion (my least favorite dish). The raw oysters with the mignonette sauce were fantastic...we went for two rounds! My favorite chowder in Bodega Bay was Spud's, but I think this one knocked it out. I enjoyed the smoky flavor to it! Our kids aren't seafood fans so I really appreciated their kids menu that had butter & cheese pasta. Their Bloody Mary was solid as well! The following day, we had the Wedge Salad and calamari along with a bowl of chowder. The salad was crisp and the combination of ingredients was perfect with all the textures and flavors of the bacon, cherry tomatoes, shoe string onion rings, and blue cheese dressing...the best wedge salad I've ever had! I loved the lightness of the calamari batter as well! This is a nicely decorated and clean restaurant. It was romantic with the view of the bay. I felt the customer service was a little off, but eventually our servers were nicer as both lunches went on. There was a Hispanic man that was very friendly and kept our water filled. We enjoyed talking to him. The customers sure were friendly with lots of smiles towards our kids. This is my favorite Bodega Bay restaurant. I look forward to bringing family and friends.

The restaurant's large windows provide beautiful waterfront views no matter where you're seated. Our waitress (whose name I unfortunately forgot) was fantastic. She mentioned she'd been there for 14 years, which says a lot in itself. She was friendly, knowledgeable about every dish, and gave us excellent recommendations. I know Caesar dressing contains anchovies, but I was hesitant about having actual fish on my salad. I'm so glad she encouraged me to try the cooked anchovies on the side--they were delicious. Perfectly salty and a great complement to the salad. The pork chop entrée was perfection! The pork was cooked beautifully, and the bread pudding side was just as memorable. I'm not entirely sure what was in it, but it reminded me of garlic bread in the best way. The applesauce was also a nice touch. The halibut was cooked perfectly as well, and the mashed potatoes practically melted in your mouth. For sides, the grilled asparagus was exactly what you'd hope for, and the crispy potatoes lived up to their name, perfectly seasoned with a great crunch. The soup of the day was a creamy spring onion soup with crispy pancetta. Although just as delicious as everything else ordered, its the one plate we wished the portion was bigger for the price it was going for. We've eaten at plenty of restaurants, but this may be the first time where every single thing we ordered--from the entrées to the sides and sauces--was a 10/10. Needless to say, this won't be our last visit. It was absolutely worth it and such a memorable part of our anniversary trip to Bodega Bay.
