This experience started out very poorly but ended on a much better note. I purchased a dress from the juniors department less than 30 days ago for a wedding. The dress was never worn, and when I returned it within Dillard's return window, Gabriella, the Business Manager of Juniors, immediately took an accusatory tone and said the dress was "dirty," refusing a refund and offering only store credit. She pointed out the area she believed was dirty, but neither my husband nor I could see what she was referring to. When I explained the dress had never been worn and was in the same condition as when I bought it, she insisted it would not have been sold that way. She later confirmed she had been the one who sold it to me. I left feeling frustrated and wrongly accused. Thankfully, Cher, a Brand Manager, noticed we were upset and stepped in. After hearing what happened, she involved store manager Daryl, who apologized, reviewed the situation, and immediately gave a full refund back to my card. Without Cher stepping in, this likely would not have been resolved. We were ready to leave and never return. Instead, her compassion and Daryl's professionalism completely turned things around. Cher and Daryl are the reason I'm leaving 4 stars instead of 1. Thank you both for making things right. read more

Loved dealing with Teresa in Men's Suits and Tailoring. I came in on a Friday without making an appointment, didn't realize they the associates in this department don't start till noon and it's 12:05 and no one is here???? What happened to Vince Lombardi Time? Teresa is out on leave so I'm trying to deal with another associate, she was not as thorough and confident as Teresa. The Department Manager was also in the area and did not have the authority to make some small alterations on a custom made article I purchased and love before the Holidays, told me she needed to run it up the ladder??? I was very fortunate to have the Manufacture Representative in the Department, we discussed my concerns and she was very professional and recommended I go see an alterations/tailor to get some professional advice, which I did and I believe we have found a solution. I have never experienced such a disorganized (large) company on the communication aspect of an order. I had the best shopping experience with Teresa, but unfortunately many items had to be shipped from other stores. What a shit show. It took me one week calling the main Dillard's phone number before I got a live person to assist me. Sadly, there was incomplete info. on 2 orders but I continued to receive e-mails to pick up my clothing. Upon arriving at the store, only one order could be located. It took 30 min to learn that one pair of pants were on the store's 2nd floor in customer service. I ran out of time and patience waiting for my clothing and just took 3 pair of pants without being altered. I don't have the patience anymore for this establishment and will simply now go out of pocket to get my clothing altered near my home. My advice, save the drive and shop elsewhere. read more

Both have wonderful selections and a great staff of helpful employees. Returned a pair of shoes today that were defective. I was explaining to the lady who processed the return what was wrong with them, the whole time I spoke to her she did not look at me. I finally let her know that I did not feel like she was listening to me and that I didn't want them to put them back out for sale. She said she had heard me. When I got there at 7:45 pm I was told they were closing at 8. I asked one of the associates on the 2nd floor for assistance finding an item. She said nothing matching the description of what I had described, then suggested I try the Juniors department, then she proceeded to tell me they were closing at 8:00 pm. I told her that someone should fix the time because Apple Maps says they close at 9:00 pm. I think Dillard's is one of my favorite clothing stores in the mall as far as big department stores go. They are more expensive, but they have more of a variety and lots of unique items for all ages. I purchased our newborn outfits here for all of our babies. It is always clean and quiet. Dillard's was the perfect spot when prom hit with the neighbor kids. Awesome shopping experience. In spite of the current covid situation, Dillards remarkably has a full well stocked department store with excellent sales at the moment. I have to mention that shopping there today really lifted me. The staff is so so helpful showing me where things were, another was humorous with a great sense of humor and made me lol. This review is solely for the "Men's Fragrances" department at this location. Personally, I love department stores; it is a tragedy that online shopping is killing some of them! Department stores are a blessing - decent people helping all of us, "regular folk" find what we need to live well! I visited the Men's Fragrance department at this location twice; with the latest visit being February 28, 2020 AD. When I first visited, Kacy Schultz assisted me. I had a list of colognes I wanted to try; Kacy advised me and gave me some samples to try out. As with all colognes, you need to try them out and see if they "agree" with your body chemistry. Spray some on, give it an hour or two, and have someone smell you. You +definitely+ want to do this! There is a chance that the cologne could disagree with your body chemistry, and make you smell like, "warmed-over-death-fart." You DO NOT WANT THAT! So, give it some time. Get some samples, try them out, and have trust-worthy people smell you. I tested out the samples I was given, and bought some excellent colognes! I can't say enough about the service Kacy Schultz offered on both of my visits. If you're looking for excellent service with regard to Men's cologne - ask for Kacy Schultz! read more

I love to shop here with my mom, Anna in the Elaine Fisher section upstairs is awesome. The selection is not as nice as Scottsdale but the service we get makes up for that and if there's something I want that's not in stock at this location she will order it for me and have it delivered to my door. The shoe section is pretty good, I wish they carried Free People shoes, as of now they only carry the clothes. The handbag section is decent as well, I can usually find something cute. MCM is the highest priced bag they carry "new". They do have a pre-owned section of more upscale brands in a case next to the accessories department if that's something you're interested in. I personally have never purchased a pre-owned bag from them so I can't comment on that. Overall this Dillards is a nice option if you live on the west side and don't feel like driving to Scottsdale. read more

Hell, who needs a Hot Tub Time Machine to go back to the 80's? Just take your DeLorean to the Arrowhead Mall and check out the westside relic Dillards that somehow has made it safely into the 21st century. Those were exactly my thoughts as I killed some time while The Princess looked for some new flats for work. I haven't been to one of these retail dinosaur department stores in some time. Macys and Dillard's anchor the east and west sides of Arrowhead. To be honest, I think Dillards has an edge of Macy's, of course they don't have any giant balloons or parades, but I can live with that. Here's the good: I actually saw some interesting new brands and fixtures that caught my attention (in the men's department). The dinosaur is trying to avoid extinction by evolving and it's heartening to see. It's likely a little late but still great to see. Another good, pleasant customer service with engaged, polite, and talkative employees. Retail is difficult, customers, while "always right" are typically "always challenging"; I couldn't do it. The bad; as Bob Seger said, she's still the same. Incremental improvements in brands and fixtures aside, this is still the same department store that really hasn't changed since Michael J. Fox took us Back to the Future in 1985. If you want to go back in time, your choices are to cue Huey Lewis and the News or visit Dillards in Arrowhead mall. read more

First it forever to get someone to wait on us and no it wasn't busy. She walked by us several times and my daughter actually stopped her and asked for a sales person. She looks at the pile of shoes she had picked to try on and after hearing she needed a wide was told they don't make wide; then back tracked to say Dillard has never carried wide. Cashier Jennifer tells me my total is $87+. I asked her & showed her the tag she then walked away & came back after removing the tag & said NO it's $87. So I asked her why was it tagged $23 & she said she didn't know. I asked to talk to the manager & she said no I can not sell it to you for $23 because they don't know why it was tagged at $23. The tag had no distress or lifted corners as if someone had previously removed it from another item. They should have sold out at what it was tagged at. i would understand if the tag was messed up, but it wasn't. Someone messed up & tagged the wrong item. BAD business. read more

I would love to give five stars but honestly this girl called Noor working in Shiseido makes my experience very unpleasant. She never has good attitude. Unfortunately, every time I go to Shiseido counter Noor is always there. I rather go to Macy's if this woman continues to working in Dillard's. Its a pity because my mom, brother, cousins, grandma and I pay a lot of money monthly buying Shiseido. Last time I went to buy, Noor was in bad attitude (as always). She was aggressive. I wanted to buy a foundation and she asked me to remove my mask so I could try the make up. Obviously because of Covid I didn't want. She was upset because I did not try the make up on my cheek. I tried it on my hand/arm. I chose the color I wanted. Noor didn't like the color I chose. She was mad telling me that color didn't match my skin color because I didn't try it on my cheek. I am the person buying and wearing the product, is none of her business whether the foundation I choose matches or not my skin color. Even her tone of voice is aggressive. She continued insisting I should remove my mask and try the foundation on my cheek. Until she noticed my mom mad because my mom got tired of tolerating her behavior every single time we go, only after that, the girl changed her attitude and her low pitch voice came in. Noor started to defending herself saying she was being nice by helping me out. I mean, she is being paid for helping me out but also giving me a nice experience. She literally said " I want to apologize with you even though I didn't do anything " Every time I go, she seems annoyed and makes facial gestures of being annoyed. I am so disappointed in Dillards we only came here to register for our wedding.. We are registered at other places and I am disgusted by how they treated us when we were registering! They didn't help us walk around with us. pretty much gave us our scanner and that was it. After scanning everything we needed they took our scanner and sent us on our way we didn't receive any gifts or any papers to put in our wedding invitations not a damn thing. I needed to do some bra shopping. I firmly believe the only place to do this is at Dillards and have been doing that for the better part of 20 years. Anyhow, I must've tried on 40 or more bras. I just couldn't make up my mind and wasn't really sure what I wanted to go with. I spent a little over two hours in the intimate section with Zino. She was so wonderful. Obviously the weekend before Christmas is crazy busy, and she just kept giving great service. Not only that, but I was certain I knew what bra size I was, and she quickly corrected me. That's the thing about Dillards, they know how to help you with your bra. I was wrong on the size of my bra. Zino was so professional and knowledgeable. I'm so grateful that I ended up with her as my bra expert! Thank you, Dillards, for only putting the best in the intimates department! I confidently bought 8 bras and 2 nightgowns! Another thing I noticed about Zino is she always greeted people walking by or thru no matter what she was in the middle of doing. She was always aware of the customers.
