My best friend and I were accused of shoplifting for sharing a dressing room. We understand now that they have a policy against sharing a fitting room, however there was another group in the fitting room next to us that also had more than one person using it. A male worker knocked on our room only and told us we could not be in there together so we put our clothes on (while he stands at our fitting room door) and as we walk out we are personally handing him the pants we tried on and was not going to purchase. We ONLY tried on pants and there was a shirt hanger in our fitting room before we went in. This is where he accuses us of stealing a shirt as I was about to purchase a $40 pair of pants. We offered to show him our purses and shopping bags and he said no. He continued to accuse us with a female worker so I decided to not buy the pants because it was getting ridiculous. We decide to walk to Pacsun before the mall closes and are stopped by 3 security guards and the male worker that accused us of shoplifting a shirt. He said the tag was in the dressing room, the shirt was missing from the hanger, and since we were in there together we must've stolen it. I told him MULTIPLE times to check the cameras and our bags and he said he was not allowed to check any of our bags (so what was his purpose?). We were humiliated and accused of a crime we didn't do and had told him numerous times we were not the only ones sharing a fitting room, so why accuse us?? The store was a mess and the workers were behind the counter not helping anyone. When we went into Pacsun after being harassed by him, there were 3 girls and a mom that said they were there when he started accusing us inside the store, that he was still talking about us stealing in front of them (customers), AND they even admitted to also sharing a fitting room with each other beside ours. We will be following up with corporate on this and my 2 biggest regrets are: Not pouring my shopping bags and purse out on the floor to prove to him that we did not steal the shirt, and not getting his name and position. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! read more
