If they price goes down in 24hours they will NOT do a price adjustment. You have to find the same item and size on the floor and purchase that particular item. It's the worst customer service. They want to hold on to every penny instead of holding on to customers. I usually come to this Dillard's. I was looking around and found some Louis Vuitton and other designer handbags. I was so excited and honestly decided hey why don't I just get my Neverfull here they had the blue interior that I wanted instead of going to the Louis Vuitton Store. I wanted to see how it looked and no mirror to be found and I didn't want to interrupt the sales associate because she was with other customers . So I went to a mirror nearby to see how it looked and she literally ran like she was running a marathon to come take the bag from me in a rude way. Then we went back to the little station set up for the bags she locked up and said "If you are not interested and buying please just leave you're taking my time up " definetly not giving money to Dillard's and trust me it was worth going to the actual store ! read more

At first glance, you might think it's a decent place to shop. It's in North Park, they have a decent selection of merchandise, and the products aren't horrible. Well, think again. Go with the other reviews. The customer service here is terrible. I was shopping for a pair of mens shoes, and they seemed a bit tight but the salesman assured me that they would stretch because "the leather is very soft". Well, I did like the shoes so I bought them with the expectation that they would. Long story short, they did not. I wore them quite a bit hoping they would, only to end up with foot pain. Then, when I tried to return them, I was told I couldn't because I had worn them. Well, of course, because how would they stretch otherwise. I tried to speak to the manager, but returns must come out of their own commissions or something. I didn't expect a refund, just an exchange for a different model or perhaps a store credit. Nope. His explanation was that "They have had these shoes for over 10 years without a complaint". Well, you can't say that any more, I guess. Don't go to Dillards. Just buy your shoes from Zappos. Dillards in Northpark Mall has always been my favorite location. They have a huge selection of shoes and they have amazing sales every year around the holiday season. My recent experience at this location made me love this Dillards even more. I had an issue with two pairs of shoes that I purchased and Katie went above and beyond to make things right in order to keep me as a customer. Good customer service is almost impossible to find these days. That being said, keep up the good work Dillards!! Oh and give Katie a raise, she deserves it. :) read more

Dillard's is pretty much a Macy's for those who can't afford or don't want to shop at Nordstrom. This store is located in the NorthPark Mall on Central Expy off US-75 in Dallas, TX. Can be difficult to find for those that don't frequent the area often. Store was clean and everything was in order. Employees didn't bother you that much but were helpful when the time came. Far better selection than Macy's IMO as well as better service. FYI the only Dillard's I know in California is in Palmdale and I wish for more. The items may be more expensive but worth shopping at. I love Dillard's department stores because of the brands of shoes they carry, the shoe sales they offer every now and then, and especially the evening gowns they sell in the teens and women's departments. However, after coming to this location twice last week (Tuesday and Saturday) I just couldn't believe how messy the women's shoe department was. Not only were there shoes scattered everywhere under EVERY sale rack, but their employees were not doing anything and just standing around. A few were actually pushing sales, but for those that weren't, hello? Do your job and organize the area! I'm pretty sure if anyone from their corporate office were to walk in they would get it together asap. Saturday of course was a busier day which meant, bigger mess than Tuesday. I was holding my 8 month old baby while my sister was shopping for shoes. I literally had to move two boxes of shoes that were just there, on the floor by the chairs, to sit. And yes, there were shoes and boxes scattered around in most seating areas, too. And to top it off, an employee was like two feet from me walking back and forth, waiting to approach the next interested customer. I regret not taking pictures of all of this. Very, very unprofessional and disorganized. Especially for a department store that offers high end items. And this location specifically which is located at a more upscale shopping center/mall. One of the worst experiences of my life. My girlfriend bought Lancom make up and it was $80. They charged her another $55 for someone else's makeup in the pre-order. My card was used illegally and when I called they made excuses saying that there was $30,000 of pre sale and that finding my order "would take too long." They told me to do and audit with my bank for a mistake they made. Honestly I am going to contact the district manager. I've talked to 8 different people in one day, and they just threw me around transferring. Worst store ever. read more

If zero stars were an option, that's what Dillards would get from me. The customer service here is atrocious, employees act bothered to be working there. Forget about getting help from anybody. While at the swim department I waited by the cash register for several minutes while the employee slowly made her way over. She didn't even greet me and before helping me answered a phone call. She then told the customer she couldn't find a size for her because it would be like "finding a needle in a haystack"! I wasn't allowed to return my purchase because I bought it over three days ago, go figure. Every time I go into this place I end up cursing myself for it and swearing I'll never go back. Just stick with the safe Nordstrom where you are guarantees good service and a reasonable exchange policy. Dillards has a great selection of clothing with good brands and low prices, however the store is super outdated. The fitting rooms are DISGUSTING. You'd think a huge company like them would put their money towards making their store look nice. I mean it is Northpark after all. If it took them long enough to get new registers, I wonder how long it'll take them to replace everything else. I suggest shoppers buy and try on their clothes at home because the fitting rooms stink. The carpet is so gross I can't even lol. I won't even allow my children to try their clothes on in the kids fitting rooms. The doors won't lock and are loose and it just smells like cheese. When I'm not shopping at Nordstrom's, I'll go to Dillards - usually for quick & easy stuff like make-up or hosery. Sometimes you can catch some good sales but good luck finding stuff in your size unless you're a size 2 or size 14. Let's face it, Dillard's is pricey but the clothing & designer selection at this North Park location puts the other Dillards' locations to shame. read more

This department is honestly horrible. I had an event and needed a dress last minute! I found one! I didn't try because it was extremely busy as expected around this time of the year? I bought because I knew it would fit I told the girl who rang me up if I could return just in case I didn't look well. She said yes, I got home and tried it on it look good I turned to the side and it had a hole so I was disappointed. I didn't get to wear it which sucked obviously. I went to return it and I explained to the girl that I didn't try the dress on when I bought it and then when I got home it was torn so I didn't end up wearing it. She quickly said that she needed to call her manager for approval and I was okay with it but nobody was answering her phone call and I was in a rush so I told her that I would go to customer service. I got down there and I gave the woman the same story and then she needed to call a manager for approval as well. Nobody was getting back to her until finally someone called and she picked up the phone and said there's a woman trying to return a dress with the hole. Which was honestly rude because she didn't even tell her the whole story? And then that manager told her to call another manager told her the same thing! At that point my blood was boiling I asked what was the big problem I didn't wear the dress it's in original condition I just need to return it. A manager called her back and said that we could return it this time but only for store credit. Which I obviously I heard but I was like no I want my money back? I told the girl I'm not gonna except store credit I want my money back I didn't wear the dress I purchased it like that? She said unfortunately we're not able to give you money back and I said to her no I want my money back!!! She finally budged and said I'll go ahead and give you your money back this time as if tore it??? I had to just walk away because otherwise I was going to tell her off. Wow, I am surprised by the lackluster reviews of Dillards. I would say that Dillards is an above average department store. You can get some really good deals on some nicer brands, especially dresses. Their home section on the top floor is pretty average to subpar but I think they do a good job with their clothes. I do not shop at department stores all that often, but I prefer Dillard's to most of the other department stores. The Northpark Dillard's has an awesome selection for women in all departments. I enjoy their sales and am always able to find a great deal on clothes and shoes. The quality varies, as expected, with the brands, but overall I have had no issues with things falling apart. The key is you just have to be in the know about sales here. As for service, this varies a great deal from department to department and from location to location. I generally dislike most of the employees in the shoe department. I believe they work solely or mostly on commission, so if you are just browsing and seem less interested in buying something, they will ignore you. Even if you find something that interests you, you might have trouble finding someone to help you. However, their shoe sales are the bomb. I always walk out with 3 or 4 pairs of shoes I absolutely love. Again, you just have to know how to work the sales, so sign up for their newsletter/email list to be in the know. read more

I can't seem to figure this location out. On one hand I have received superb customer service at this location. I bought a pair of slacks in the menswear department and the two ladies there were extremely professional, conversational and attentive to my desires. They were knowledgeable about the products as well as the fit. I do commercial sales and update my wardrobe pretty consistently. I bought a new Michael Kors leather coat for trip to New York and again, the gentleman there was very affable and helpful. In this respect I couldn't be happier The Men's shoe department was another matter. I was wearing designer jeans, converse and a sport shirt and despite carrying a freshly purchased leather coat and several pairs of slacks and shirts the staff there went out of their way to ignore me. I was looking for a new pair of Allen-Edmonds and was never once greeted even while browsing the shoe section intently for a considerable amount of time. An aging gentleman walked up to the same section and no fewer than two employees descended to ask repeatedly if he needed assistance. I stood holding an oxford in my hand while staring at a smartly dressed young lady leaning with another associate by the register and both showed a great deal of disinterest providing me with any form of service much less making eye contact. The entire situation was unacceptable. Employees were standing about and seemed to pick and choose who they would engage and made no attempt to mask their intent to ignore the others in the department. The store lost a $385 purchase because of this and I will certainly never purchase shoes from this department again. I would give some employees better than 5 stars if I was able, others need to fine a different line of work. read more

Came here to exchange a dress and everyone in the dress department avoided making eye contact because they didn't want to help. They kept sending me to different registers and finally one nice girl helped me and she was very sweet. Then as she's ringing me up her manager (standing less than a foot from me with her back to me) tells her "tell her we don't exchange things bought online". I didn't buy it online and why was she trying to get involved when it was none of her business and no one was asking her for help. The girl told her that I bought it at a different location and finished the exchange. I practically buy everything in Dillard's - from clothes for my entire family to cosmetic and furniture, Godiva candies , not to mention shoes. They have wonderful sales, not as good as in the past, but still on the end you can find best price in Dillard's. Shoes selection is good, again not as good as it was in the past (I used to buy Emilio Pucci, Balli shoes in Dillard's). But even today there are good brands like Pliner, Via Spiga, Louise et Cie, Amalfi, Isola etc. Talking about good men shoes - there you can buy classic Magnani or Hugo Boss leather shoes made in Italy on sale. Nowhere else I can buy European and Canadian brands apparel for women like Gerry Weber and Cartise, only in North Park. I genuinely like the Dillard's a NorthPark Mall. The women's clothing buyer is good and they have a large shoe section. The bad thing about Dillard's is that they don't do price adjustments, so if there is an even bigger sale right around the corner, your option is to suck it up or return your purchase and try to find the identical item to repurchase (since they put whatever you return on a hold so you can't buy it again at the lower price). The whole thing is just stupid and makes me prefer to shop at the other department stores (or any other store in the mall really). :/ read more

Good luck trying to ever get a hold of Shannon, Phillip, or Rikki (if you ever come across a problem) because they are too busy in their offices doing nothing but making of fun of workers, or making fun of workers in the camera room. Ordered makeup & they said they would have to mail for free gift. Call two weeks later & they mailed to wrong place. Then they assumed super dark skin & mailed wrong products. Tried to remedy over the phone & girl didn't have a valley girl clue. Now I have $38 makeup I cannot use. Gee thanks. Don't ship your orders. They do not have their act together. I had the worst experience taking back 3 pairs of shoes I ordered for my daughters and daughter-in-law for Xmas. I had to take a $324 gift card. I purchased the shoes online Nov.11th and returned them on January 15th. I was told there is a 30 day return policy. I questioned them not having a holiday grace period, like most stores do during the holidays? NOPE I said they were for Xmas! NOPE Therefore,in their words, they were past due EVEN if I returned them on Dec.26th!! I couldn't not believe it! This is coming from their customer service department. The manager would not even come to the counter to talk with me! FYI-don't buy at Dillard's if its for Xmas or any occasion that will be past 30 days from the purchase date. Yesterday I was shopping at Dillard's North Park women's shoe department and this lady came over to help me. Her demeanor was rude and she seemed angry so after I tried a pair of shoes and they did not work out and kept looking. Then I found another pair and this man offered to help so I said yes. At this point she yelled at him and asked my shoe number. After I was walking for a while looking at shoes, I sat down. At this point, she came over and starting yelling at me saying she had to walk far to find me and yelled: "Would you like to have someone else help you, eh, eh?" She was being extremely rude. I was in shock, tried a pair of shoes and left. I purchased two pairs at Macy's. OMG. I have never been to a more chaotic sale than the New Years 50% off Clearance sale. It was crazy. I live in Plano and should have stuck to the Dillards at Parks Mall, or Stonebriar. The sales people were rude and unorganized except for in the children's department. They had their system down and kept the lines moving. Now anything bought on this day has a 3 day return time limit. Well I count 3 days as today Monday but we will see, I have to return an item. I walked in to Dillard's last week to find a birthday dress. I started off in Gianni Bini and started browsing. I got a stare from the girl working in the department but no hello, or the typical question, "Is there something I can help you with?" After about 20 minutes of browsing, i racked up quite the collection of items to bring in the fitting room. Still, nobody working (and there were 3) asked me to put my items in the fitting room. I had to ask. Nobody ever even said hello to me. Get it together with your customer service. It's embarrassing hearing about the girls guy problems who work in Gianni Bini. I shop here but mostly because I live in the area. All of the reviews you read about the terrible customer service at Northpark are true - it must reflect management attitude from the top because it is pervasive in almost every department. The only exceptions I know of are a couple of seasoned employees in the men's department. Recent experiences taught me a couple of things. First, always select the option to receive both email and printed receipts. Bought my daughter an expensive, sequined dress...she wore it once and a long section of the sequins on the back was off by the end of the evening. Took it back - not for a refund b/c she loved the dress - but for either a repair or replacement. Because she didn't keep the tags and we misplaced the receipt, no one...even a manager would help although they all admitted that they knew it had been a very recent purchase since the dress was a "new arrival." I had used my Dillard's account so I suggested we try to get the information they needed (the "pop" number) from customer service - no, that was "illegal" according to a rude sales associate...well, I'm an attorney and if I ask you to call and inquire about something on my account, it is NOT illegal for you to do so stupid girl! So, after a lengthy attempt to get Dillards' employees to provide some customer service, I solved my own problem - bought the dress a second time, gave the tags and receipt for that one along with the defective dress to the manager and she credited my account. Really??? Since they were clearly willing to accept the return of the defective merchandise, why put me through all of that? Second, never take the first rude sales associate's word for something as final. Tried to buy a Michael Kors dress a few days ago. Great sale price and had my size but only one. So, delighted I took it to the checkout and only person around clearly had an attitude. She had the sourest look on her face, barely even acknowledged me, but went about the process of taking my money. I noticed that the hemming on one of the sleeves had come loose. So, I stopped her and asked if they have an alterations department that could re-hem the sleeve. She blankly looked at me, kind of sighed as if to say, "are you stupid?" and then denied that they have any alterations available at Dillard's. So, I asked if it was possible to get a small discount off of the price and she said, "absolutely not, this is the lowest price available for this dress." I wasn't looking for much - maybe 5 - 10 bucks so I could have it fixed somewhere else! So, I declined to move forward with my purchase. Two days later, the dress was still there so I took it to another sales associate in the department across the aisle and, although she too said Dillard's has no alterations department - she happily offered me an additional 10% discount due to the defect and I didn't even have to ask her about it. Clearly, Dillard's neither trains or monitors their employees. The ghostly white sales associate with her hair slicked back into a greasy ponytail and a bad attitude that works in women's coats should be given her walking papers! But, frankly, if Dillard's fired every employee that has a bad attitude and mistreats its customers, that place would be a ghost town without anyone to unlock the doors on a day!! Let's face it - most people wouldn't go to Dillard's at all if they can find what they are looking for elsewhere. It's not particularly clean, not particularly less expensive than places where salespeople are taught how to treat customers (like Nordstrom), and you have to go there expecting to be disrespected and leave irritated. Dillard's is simply lucky to stock brands that other stores have and when I can't find what I'm looking for elsewhere, Iike so many others I'll go there. In fact, I am going for their big sale today. I called this morning to see what time they open - a very, very rude person answered the phone said (without even saying hello), "Dillard's is open from 9 to 7 today" and then just didn't say anything more. Heck, I wasn't sure if it was a recording or what so I hesitated a little and said, "Thank you?" Nope, not a recording...a voice said, "You're welcome" and hung up. Who does that? Just another example of poor leadership and training - I guess it's people like me who keep them going though since I just go there and spend my money even though I almost always have to endure some level of their abuse! Hmmmm - maybe I'll just stay home today and skip the good deals that may or may not be available. I was instructed by a nice employee in women's clothing that I would need to return my blouse with receipt to customer service to get a credit since the credit card I used to purchase the blouse had changed since I bought it, due to theft. MasterCard sent me a new card and obviously with a new number. She said she could give me a gift card or customer service could credit my new card. There was one person working in customer service with 7 people waiting in line. When I finally was helped, the manager wouldn't take it back since I didn't have my original credit card...the stolen one. She wouldn't even give me a gift card. I went back to the nice girl that originally helped me in women's and got a gift card. I will never shop this Dillard's again. EVERY STORE EVERYWHERE knows to honor your replaced credit card.
