I live in mid Missouri and we were on our way to Breckinridge for my son's wedding. we stopped over in Colby, Kansas and unloaded the luggage when I realized we were missing a clothes bag, the clothes bag with my MOG dress! instead of sitting on the floor and crying ( which I wanted to do); got on the internet and phone to call Dillard's in Denver area to look for a petite long dress in a dark color and hopefully a size that fits and not too long. The first call didn't find long dresses, but the second hit the jackpot! Larissa in (Aurora Dillards in Town Center Mall) ladies formal wear found me two petites in my size range and sent a picture! it was perfect and we got there in the morning when the store opened. One of the dresses not only fit, but was the right length(4'11") with heels! Crisis averted! My angel, Larissa had even called the lady in charge of men's alterations to be on hand in case of an emergency hem shortening! I can't say enough wonderful things about this wonderful and caring lady! She took a personal interest in my important dilemma and came through by going above and beyond what one would expect! Her kindness and extra effort saved the day and wedding pictures went wel! I actually loved my new dress more than the one that I left back home! Love,love,love Dillards! So sad we didn't know there was one nearby our home at Christmas time. I struggled to find the favorite cologne of my other half and didn't have time to locate Dillards. Luckily, we ran into it when I noticed the cinema in back on the way to.a doctor visit. I was nosey and while driving over found the store. This location is clearly, bright and has a large selection of goods and hey, they even carry Big and Tall for my 6' 9" giant! We've been here a few times and stopped last night to check out/purchase those darn Tall pants for my big guy. Looking for something that's hard to find? Stop here or call Dillards first. Went shopping with the boyfriend looking for only a handful of things. We went shopping in the men's department and we found some great button down shirts for 50% off. The shirts look great on him. Totally his style. On an impulse we also found him a good looking hat. It fits him perfectly and he looks really handsome. It was meant to be. Cheaper than other Dillards in the area! I stopped by because 1) I have a gift card that was burning a whole in my pocket & 2) I was looking for some me time. The selection is a little on the low side, especially in the Junior's section. Miss Me bedazzled jeans and Levis aren't really what I'm interested in...and when you travel over to the women's sections, it seems like Dillards recognizes there's a significant jump in women's fashion. If you're over 25, you may as well be dressed like a senior! Now, I gave them 4 stars because of their great service. If it hadn't been for that and their affordable prices, they'd probably get 3 stars in my book. The cosmetics counter was incredibly helpful and even though they didn't have the perfume roller I wanted, she was still nice and willing to let me sample a few others that might have been a good fit. I want to write here expressing total disgust for my job interview today. I only wish I could contact the manager personally for this store as I feel sorry for any employee under the management of a woman named Angie. I arrived early for my interview very excited to started my new career as a makeup and skin care consultant and eventual counter manager for either Chanel or Lancome. I have a passion for helping people, beauty and treating others with dignity and respect. I was met at the customer service desk by a delightful sweet girl who told me to wait for my appointment. I noticed some of the makeup counter staff were clustered in packs and THAT doesn't look good at all. Then Angie arrived on the scene. No "hello how are are "? Or "thank you for coming out to see us on these icy roads today". No she scurried around before she came over and said " Are you NOT able to work Sundays?( Actually I could probably work most of Sunday as other days of the week but I have a few PT jobs I needed to let go depending on the wages and schedule at Dillards). Then she said, well we shouldn't go on any further with this interview as you won't be able to make your sales quota. ! Well how would she know this? Does she think sales is 100% dependable on floor time? I was willing to put in 40 hours for sure but treating people like crap is no way I'd accomplish this! I understand retail is about flexiblity as well. I have no children or home life. I was willing to even travel with a makeup line. But she never even let me get to those points as she was only hung up on the Sunday schedule which could change in a few months. I asked her If I could apply later and she said " Well the one line app will expire in 30 days and nothing else. No encouragement or even a smile. I almost wish they'd hire me now so I can double my freaking sales goal and fire her ass.] Probably the RUDEST interview I've had in my entire life.! I don't even want to enter this store again and may not even shop at Dillard's seeing as this is how they treat their people. ! If I could give them no stars I would. The customer service is awful. I went to Dillard's to buy some Levi long sleeve shirts for work. I checked online and saw some shirts that were on sale so I figured I would go and check. I saw the shirts and went to go ask the sales person if they were on sale and she said no. I really liked the shirt so I wanted to purchase 2 of them. When I went to the counter to show the lady the discount she got an attitude and was very rude and said that I (the paying customer was wrong) and those shirts never go on sale. I am so disappointed! Dishonest clerk! I purchased a LV purse here last holiday season. While there, I fell in love with a LB satchel but didn't want to overdo it. Right away the lady in the purse department mentioned the Dillard's card was 0% interest for the first year. I thought, why not! I was approved and happy with my purchases. In the meantime I have making more than the minimum in payments to my card because I want to take care of it before the year. I go last week to buy socks of all things and my card is declined. I call CS only to be told that since I made 2 purchases and used 2 forms of pmt I do not qualify for the 0%. They escalated it and even sent it to their "corporate" office nothing. It's a Wells Fargo card. They suggested I go to the store to try to return and was told no. Even the CS manager was upset his clerk did this. When I suggested maybe they should train their clerks better so that they know what going on, his exact words were, "Oh, they've been trained. They know better." He said he would speak to the whole department about honesty and not deceiving customers just to get a sale. I feel like I was taken advantage of and lied to. This has NEVER happened to me. I have never been treated this way. Needless to say, i am paying this off and canceling my card. read more

This is just like any other Dillard's store. They are averaging on selling anything such as regular and expected shoes, watches, men and women's clothing as well as babies too. I try to avoid parking in front of these locations, as these mass large retailers such as Dillard's give me a massive headache. They have a large selection of clothing, that range from 20-200$ on average. Good store but most definitely not my cup of tea. read more

Dillard's is listed as a Vera Bradley retailer. The back of my VB receipt says VB returns can be made at ALL VB retailers. I take my VB return to a Dillard's just to rudely be told that I can not make my return return there. Why are you marketing yourself as a VB retailer but refusing to help the customers? I was going to buy something more expensive, so you were going to make A BIGGER SALE. This is the worst Dillard's I have ever been to! The manager is inconsiderate and rude. I tried to return a dress WITH THE RECIET I had purchased 2 days earlier (got home and my husband didn't like it) and the tags were still clearly hanging off the side and they refused to take it back saying it had been worn!! Horrible service. They were so rude and acted like I had stolen the dress or tried to wear it and take it back. I purchased a dress as a gift for my wife.She tried it just once and after that we did not like the outfit/color and hence we decided to exchange this for some other color/model.So I took the dress(shirt+pant) with the original receipt(within 30 days),tags to this store.And i met a lady representative in women's section and i explained the reason for return/exchange and she told me that they don't take it even if it was worn once despite tags and receipt. i felt this is the worst store in terms of returns.I have been to several stores like macy, kohl's, express, old Navy,NYC..etc and no where i was denied the returns. The manager at this store was rude and condescending. I received a pair of shoes for Valentine's Day from my husband and just had time to exchange them this week (I'm a teacher and mother of 3 and finding time to shop is difficult). I tried to return a BRAND NEW pair of shoes that had NEVER BEEN WORN. I had the receipt and the proof of purchase was still on the box. I was told that my original purchase amount would be put on a Dillard's gift card and my new purchase would then be paid for with the gift card (plus the extra I now owed) because I was 12 days outside of the return policy. I asked to speak with a manager to explain the situation. I did not want a gift card because I was not confident that I was going to like the new shoes and wanted to be able to return them and shop elsewhere if needed. The manager was extremely rude and condescending. She explained how a gift card works to me several times as if I were not intelligent enough to understand after the first time. She refused to even consider refunding my money to my credit card even though I was only 12 days outside of the return policy. Additionally, she said that she was doing me a favor as strictly by the return policy I would be stuck with the shoes I had purchased. I was returning a BRAND NEW pair of shoes that would simply be put back and sold to another customer. I do not see how allowing me to return a BRAND NEW pair of shoes was doing me a favor. She seemed like she had better things to do than make sure her customers were satisfied. She would not budge and I had no option other than to exchange (using the gift card method) my shoes. I usually purchase my shoes from Nordstrom's and now I know why. In the future I will give my money to Nordstrom's who appreciates my business and wants me to be satisfied. read more

If I could give the Aveda salon at this Dillard's a zero, I would. I went to Jennifer who clearly had no idea was she was doing. I was there for THREE hours! She had to re-do the high lights on the appointment before mine because she messed up. She then tried to double charge the girl when it was the stylists mistake. She started my hair cut in the middle of the other girls appointment and had to stop 3 times to wash the other girls hair. When she finally finished my hair cut it was horrible. My bangs are ridiculously short and the layers are uneven. She attempted to style my hair and put in a handful of some greasy "shine" goo. I'm pretty sure the bottle says put in a drop or two. After she blow-dried it, it looked like i hadn't showered in a week there was so much grease. Then she asks me "You're going to wash your hair tomorrow anyway, right?" Are you kidding me?!?!?! After all of this she still wanted to charge me full price when I clearly was unhappy. I will NEVER go back to her or this Dillards! read more
