Gotta love a dessert place that's open until midnight! I stopped by Leyra Chocolate around 10:30 pm…read moreon a weekend and it was busy and bustling. The two young gentlemen were working very hard fulfilling both online and in-person orders. They specialize in dessert crepes and waffles, but also offer chocolate-covered fruit skewers, milkshakes, sundaes, and vegan kofteh. Prices are steep, but I'd only get this as a treat once in awhile. I ordered the Lotus Crepe (~$13) which came with Lotus Butter, Lotus cookie crumbs, and milk and white Belgian chocolate. It took around 15 minutes, but I wasn't in any rush. The crepe didn't last very long once I took my first bite... The presentation was 10/10 and it tasted just as good. The cookie crumbs really elevated the sweet flavors. I wish the prices weren't so high because I would come more often. I think $13 for a crepe, especially since there wasn't even any fruit or many toppings inside of it, is high.

My family and I were in the mood for a little dessert after dinner (as we often are), and we saw…read morethis place nearby and wanted to check it out. So yummy - if you have a sweet tooth, this is the place for you. We got a speculoos waffle and pistachio chocolate crepe to share and we ate up every bite. I personally loved the speculoos waffle more (they may call it something else besides speculoos but I can't recall at the moment), but I'm a big fan of cookie butter. The place is a little small and my family thought we might have to wait, but it was actually really easy and quick to get a table. The food comes out quickly and then you end up wolfing it down. Cute spot, very much recommend for those looking for a fun dessert in the area.

Everything is scrumptious!…read more I ordered from a delivery service so I cant speak to the ambiance or the service, this is solely a review of the desserts. We had the Passion Fruit Creme Brûlée, the Key Lime Merengue, the Tres Leches, and the bread pudding. They were all so delicious but the standouts were the creme brûlée and the key lime. The tres leches was probably our least favorite, it was good but not outstanding. The bread pudding felt more like a breakfast treat but also still good. 10/10 recommend

Juan took the time to share his menu with us, making the experience feel personal and special. I tried the dulce de leche dessert, and it was absolutely delicious--rich and flavorful without being overly sweet. It even gave me a subtle taste of coquito, which made it even more enjoyable. The chocolate mousse was incredibly satisfying and perfectly prepared. What makes Juan Dulce truly stand out is that everything is made fresh and with love. In addition to an impressive selection of sweets, there is also a savory menu featuring items such as truffle mac and cheese and trio empanadas. If these dishes are anything like the desserts, I am certain that everything on the menu is delicious. Beyond the food, the highlight of my visit was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Juan's kindness and positive energy made the experience memorable. I highly recommend Juan Dulce to anyone looking for amazing desserts, delicious savory options, and exceptional hospitality. His treats are sweet, and his personality is even sweeter. I can't wait to return soon!

There is seating inside and out, and the place is bright and clean. There were a lot of good looking pastries that I never tried or heard of, and the lady behind the counter was super nice and helpful with all my questions (thank you!). I would love to come back to dine in as this visit was take out. I ordered: - beef borek: Delicious! It's not overstuffed with ground beef, and the proportion to dough is really filling. You get a pretty big sized borek - I can get 3 meals out of it. - 1 regular simit, and 1 regular butter simit: the regular simit is larger in size than the butter one, but the butter one is much softer and decadent. The butter simit costs a little more, but totally worth it. - 3 types of round nut cookies: two of the cookies were made of nuts and crumbled easily (I preferred the brown one). I didn't catch the name - I gotta go back lol. There was also this round red pink one that tasted like raspberry, and the consistency was like a chewy macaroon - yeah, I gotta go back and get another one.

I came here with a few of my family members and we were thoroughly impressed. We got the dubai…read morechocolate pastry. It tasted great, it was decadent but not too heavy. The Borek was also great. It was buttery and flay and the cheesy filling was not too salty. The latte I had tasted great. The coffee itself was not too strong. It also was the perfect level of sweet to accompany my desserts. The servers were also very kind and welcoming and helped explain everything they had to offer.
