So yummy - if you have a sweet tooth, this is the place for you. We got a speculoos waffle and pistachio chocolate crepe to share and we ate up every bite. I personally loved the speculoos waffle more (they may call it something else besides speculoos but I can't recall at the moment), but I'm a big fan of cookie butter. The place is a little small and my family thought we might have to wait, but it was actually really easy and quick to get a table. The food comes out quickly and then you end up wolfing it down. Cute spot, very much recommend for those looking for a fun dessert in the area.

Gotta love a dessert place that's open until midnight! I stopped by Leyra Chocolate around 10:30 pm…read moreon a weekend and it was busy and bustling. The two young gentlemen were working very hard fulfilling both online and in-person orders. They specialize in dessert crepes and waffles, but also offer chocolate-covered fruit skewers, milkshakes, sundaes, and vegan kofteh. Prices are steep, but I'd only get this as a treat once in awhile. I ordered the Lotus Crepe (~$13) which came with Lotus Butter, Lotus cookie crumbs, and milk and white Belgian chocolate. It took around 15 minutes, but I wasn't in any rush. The crepe didn't last very long once I took my first bite... The presentation was 10/10 and it tasted just as good. The cookie crumbs really elevated the sweet flavors. I wish the prices weren't so high because I would come more often. I think $13 for a crepe, especially since there wasn't even any fruit or many toppings inside of it, is high.

Truly one of The Best in NJ. It is now a Korean Bakery shop \cafe and still makes very good products, but if you remember the "old PPB" it is not the same at all. Located on the main business district, there is street parking. I stopped in one evening to grab some items to go. The person working the counter was nice enough. They now have cafe\brunch items so it's not just a bakery anymore. Very little Italian pastries anymore; more generic cakes, donuts, cookies, etc are the norm now. Of course Korean specialties too. Their rice donuts were amazing. For many years, local bakeries in the area made a Bavarian creme filled pecan danish ring with streusel sugar drizzled on top. PPB still does and it is Amazing! Worth the trip just to buy this item!

Palisades Bakery @ Palisades Park…read more It has been at this locations for ever !!!!!! Change of owner after COVID, and still offers the traditional, long-loved cakes and pastries as before - the famous pecan custard pie, cheese cake!!!! The good thing now is that they have a broader selection of Korean style pastries, along with meal menu. I have had their pizza, salad, and pasta: they are very good - just tad bit pricey. This morning brunch was something more surprising. We had omelette ($18.99) and Eggs Royale with smoked salmon ($21.99), and they come with coffee included. The omelette was filled with veggies and the eggs royal benedict was perfectly poached. Great to sit quietly for brunch on a weekday.
