John is wonderful, he listened to what I was wanting and made suggestions. He explained everything step by step before he even started. At the beginning of our appointment, he asked me questions about my hair history and what I had in mind for my cut and color. He made sure we were on the same page before he even picked up his scissors. The salon is at a great location at Camelback & Central; there was plenty of free parking. I have found my new salon! My good friend recommended Drew. She's been seeing him for about 30 years. Don't know why I didn't ask her earlier but I'm so glad that I finally met him. He took the time with me to ask a lot of questions to achieve the absolute most perfect hair color. I've been so unhappy with my hair for so long and nobody has been able to achieve the right color. Drew did and it's so beautiful and he also worked with a really bad cut to give me a really good cut.I can't say enough good things about Drew. Oh I almost forgot to mention the cherry on top of the cake... his price is so reasonable! I spent twice as much on my previous cut and color and hated the results. Absolutely never returning to dilemma. April wrecked my hair. I'm a natural brunette and asked for a balayage, ended up with orange roots. The highlights that she did put in my hair were not blended in the slightest- however she told me this would fade. Went back for a toner and came out with hair that was darker than my natural color. Some of the orange is still around my temples and the highlights are still not blended. I literally got the opposite (but worse) than what I asked for. April did not apologize, own up to her mistakes or reply when I asked for a refund on my crappy color. My experience was sloppy and unprofessional and I am entirely disappointed and unimpressed. If you like wasting time and money go to April. read more

I found John (one of the owners) through a friend. I am new to the Phoenix area and it's always scary to trust someone new with your hair. John is great; he listened to what I wanted, even though I wasn't exactly sure, and he talked me through the whole process to make sure it was what I wanted. John will talk with you the whole time or if you're like me and enjoy the peace of getting your hair cut with little conversation, he's good at that too. Prices are great for this quality of service. Parking is really easy, plus the light rail runs right in front of the salon if you'd rather not drive downtown.
