I found this spot when I moved to Midtown Phoenix--it was right around the corner from my new place. I saw that it got great reviews and decided to try it out. I'm so glad I did. Morgan is the best nail artist I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not only is she immensely talented at sculptured acrylic nails, but she's also so creative when it comes to your "basic" gel manicure and pedicure. She can achieve any look you want, and she'll offer her artistic recommendations if you ask. I've always left feeling like I have unique, beautiful nails. She pays the utmost attention to detail and will take the time it takes to make your nails perfect. Not only that, I always have the best conversations with her--her personality and creativity shines. I can't say enough good things about her--you just need to visit her and see for yourself! I've also gotten my hair done once by Martine, who is equally talented with cutting hair. He was honest about cutting off my (extensive) dead ends so that we could work together to make my hair healthy again. He gave me exactly what I asked for and styled the cut beautifully. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking to work with true artists in their respective fields. read more

Swank Salon - Hair Salons Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Luz is the best! She listens to exactly what I want and executes it perfectly. My hair is very thin and fine, limp... and she cuts is perfectly, adds layers and lots of texture to it, so it looks like I have more hair than I really do. She's also so fun and easy to talk to. Pricing is also unheard of in this day and age, and it's more than worth it! read more

It was definitely a "God Send" that I found this salon, my stylist Bree & that she was able to accommodate me all in the same day. It was a 911 emergency for my hair & when you look at the pics you'll see why.Too make a long story short...another stylist majorly messed up my hair color, really bad & my guardian angel sent me to Swank Salon to get it fixed. The vibe/energy of the salon was relaxing. COVID safety is being practiced so a mask was required. Salon offers a variety of hair services & is definitely qualified to service all ethnic groups...Black, Caucasian, Latino, Asian, very multi cultural. Swank Salon is clean, organized & stocked with good hair products that smell yummy, some organic, high end products & reasonably priced. Found this salon by google search and saw 5 stars, made an appointment online right away. Loved Luz. she is genuinely kind person, very sweet and good at what she does. Haircut and color turned out exactly how I wanted, already scheduled a follow up. 2 other clients I saw leaving before me seemed very happy with their results too. Highly recommend this salon! read more

Gotta say these guys do a fantastic job with what I have left up top. Bill (last name Barber - lol), Adrian, and Sally are all really nice. This has been my place for about 3-years now. When you enter everyone says hello - kinda like Cheers. You are offered a beverage (from water and soda, to wine and beer). The place is very stylish and modern, located on the ground floor of a condominium high rise (just east of the Clarendon hotel). I have referred several friends here over the years, guys and gals alike rave about the results. read more

Called as a new client and was able to get an appointment the same day I requested it. Luz shampooed, cut, and styled my hair. She was more attentive than stylists at other salons I've gone to and gave me advice tailored to my hair. She also shaped my eyebrows during the shampoo. I am loving my hair more than ever and will be back to see Luz on a very regular basis! read more

I found a hair doctor. Bree is amazing, humble and my hair doctor. I found this salon at the end of my transition from chemicals. Her hands are light. Never a forced suggestion, her goal is to care for your hair and scalp. 5 star salon in the heart of Phoenix and worth it. I almost don't want to share my best kept secret, but I must. I travel 30 minutes to get to this salon. Tranquil and worth it! read more

I have been using Swank Salon services for close to 6 months now and they have ALWAYS been on top of their game. I have had cuts and colors done by Bill and Nicole and facials by Bree. I've always been very pleased with the results and will continue to use them for all of my salon needs. A trip to Swank is always a guaranteed hour of entertainment. The team is a fun group to be around and you can tell there is a lot of passion for their jobs. Good stuff! I tried Swank after searching for a Salon for several weeks. The reviews here are right on!!! I was greeted by who I think is the owner and immediately offered a drink. I was early, so I waited for just a few minutes. Bree was my stylist and she did a GREAT job! She listened to what I wanted and made some suggestions for things I needed to do to my hair. She put in some really great product that left my hair silky and smooth!! I can't wait to go back :D read more

Swank is one of the hipper salons downtown that I've seen or been to. Whether you're booking an appointment, having your hair done, or getting a massage -- the entire staff is very friendly and extremely talented. Nicole has been cutting my hair for about 7 months and I've referred numerous friends, family, and clients that have all left raving about their experience; Bree serves up a mean massage. I would highly recommend this full-service salon to anyone. (Tip: Ask for a beer or glass of wine while you're there) read more

I've been going to Swank for years - and I love them. I LOVE Bill. If we've ever met, you've seen the mess I have the deal with on my head. Crazy huge curls and damage due to years of my thinking that blonde was my color. Uh, it's not. And thankfully Bill & his team have made me see the (brunette) light. But this review is not only about the awesome service, fantastic job and warm staff ... it's also about the online booking. I just booked my first appointment without calling in and it was easy, simple and convenient. Just another reason to love this fabulous salon. Highly, highly, highly recommended. read more

I was super lucky to get my haircut (and bangs) from a talented man named Adrian! I decided to do a walk-in after I heard good reviews and I wasn't disappointed! He listened closely to my wants and needs and understood me :) He also periodically asked me if it was looking how I wanted and was super easy to talk to. Thank you Adrian!! Ahhh, I love my hair :) read more

I decided to try this salon after reading the reviews on yelp. I have now been to Swank twice, and both times have seen Nicole. She does a wonderful job with my hair and is always cheerful. Also, she listens well and is committed to ensuring your hair looks exactly as you want it! The salon itself is small but nice and everyone working there always seems friendly and energetic. I am very happy to have found Nicole and Swank Salon! The prices are good and the service is great! I would highly recommend this salon! read more

I stumbled onto Swank through another website. I was able to make my appointment on line (loved that!), confirm it on line, see reviews here on yelp. All of them were awesome. Thanks fellow yelpers! I had a wonderful experience with Nicole. I brought in a picture of the style I wanted. She made it happen thus making me very, very happy! I love the location too. Very nice urban feel not too over the top. Music was great. Good variety without beating up my eardrums :) read more

I came in about a month ago to see Nicole. I just moved to this area and, up until then, hadn't found a great hair person. However, I wanted to take my hair from blond to a chocolate brown and didn't want to risk it at a generic SuperCuts (although that would've been cheaper, I'm sure). Everyone was extremely welcoming and I was offered water/coffee/etc immediately upon being seated. The coffee was delicious, by the way! And then over the next couple hours Nicole took my over-highlighted blonde hair to a beautiful chocolate brown that was the EXACT color I'd been picturing in my mind. And through it all she was polite and professional, yet still easy to talk to. I'm still getting compliments to this day! I will be back!! read more

I can't say enough GREAT things about Swank Salon. I go to Bill the owner and he IS THE Hair Extraordinaire! He always exceeds my expectations with the best cuts and color. He clearly loves what he does and is so creative and always goes above and beyond for all of his clients. My hair is longer, healthier and shinier... he even found me the best, non-toxic hair color that I love!!! I feel privileged to have found him!!! It really is a great salon. *On a personal note, he is a lovey, caring person and a fellow dog lover! read more

Some people are just really good at their craft, and absolutely born to do it, because Bill at Swank is awesome...probably because his given name is Bill Barber! I had let my hair go, and it was a real mess. Bill took one look at me, sat me down, cut my hair, and in less than 10 minutes, my hair looked FABULOUS. I'm really lucky that I found him, and I'll be going to him as long as I possibly can. He's also really friendly, a good listener, a cool guy, and a dog lover...all things that make up an excellent individual in my book! I highly recommend Swank...Bill is the owner, and it was a great experience! Thanks! read more

Swank Salon is happy hour for me and my hair! Heather has been doing a fabulous job coloring and cutting my hair for more than 7 years. She found the most beautiful color for me that makes my eyes pop. I am always getting compliments on the color and cut. She always makes sure she is doing your hair the way you want but offers great suggestions when you aren't sure. I always feel safe in her hands and have a big smile on my face when I leave. Swank Salon has a great vibe. Everyone there is friendly and yes, it is true, they offer you wine (nice after a long day at the office). It is not the typical snobby salon environment at all. Parking is very easy or you could take the light rail. I can't wait to go back! read more

Swank Salon is located in the executive towers, which it clearly states on the website, but I didnt pay attention. So be warned, if you're pregnant and absent- minded, like me, it's IN the apartment/condo building :) The salon itself is clean, small, unpretentious. I like it that way personally, because I don't like busy- it means hurry up and get this person out of my chair (sometimes). My stylist was Nicole, based on the reviews and one particular reviewer who I sought out to answer more directly about her ( which was so nice, btw). She greeted me and sat me down. I explained that I wanted bright blonde. Brought in pictures of the color and cut and she went to work. She was very sweet- asked me about my life, I asked about hers... down to earth kinda girl. Always asked if I was comfortable and needed anything, which was very nice since my pregnant self usually isnt. Just a quick fyi note, she didn't have me process the color under heat until the last five minutes which I like. It's no big deal when it happens, but I dont like the breakage that I get under heat. After foils were out, she began the cut, which didnt take long. She blew it dry and I could tell I loved the cut but was a little worried the blonde wasnt bright enough. I never can tell in the salon. As it got styled, I felt more and more happy with it. Left with what I thought was a wonderful highlight and best cut I've gotten in years. When I got home and ran my fingers through it, parted it where I usually do, I noticed then in my lighting it wasnt exactly what I asked for. Based on that, I would've given 4 stars. But I called back later and explained to Nicole my thought. She apologized and asked when I could come in to add some more highlights. The next day, she fit me in to her schedule, put in a ton more highlights on the top. I processed while she finished up another client. After she dried it, it was one of those "Aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwhhhh" angelic singing moments. . I was so happy with the look. I couldnt stop looking in the mirror the next day. And I dont care how vain it sounds, because lookin in the mirror while pregnant and your body is growing at rapid speed and ENJoYING the reflection is comforting. Based on her willingness to satisfy the customer and the wonderful job she did on my hair, 5 stars. So thank you Nicole for my new reflection. Cant wait to go back! read more

Always Amazing!!! Brie, Bill and Nicole are always so nice and know how to treat their customers! Keep it up Swank!

I have been going to Swank Salon for almost a year now. I get regular haircuts and colors there, I have also had extensions put in and maintained, all done by Nicole. Nicole is THE best hair artist of all time. I bought a groupon 3+ years ago and Score! I live in Chicago now, but will fly back to Phoenix just so she can do my hair. I tried two salons in Chicago and what a bummer. Nobody compares. Very reasonably priced, squeeky clean salon, swanky atmosphere, super friendly service, great conversation, and stellar strands to top it off. If you're like me and have had trouble finding a good hairstylist, try her once and you'll never worry about your locks again. Nicole=Pure Gold. read more

Went to Swank today, based on some reviews I had seen, and was really pleased. I was greeted and offered a beverage as soon as I arrived. Adrian listened to what I wanted, listened to what I didn't want, and gave me a really great cut. He also showed me how to style it at home and what products to use to make it look great. I'm really pleased with my visit to Swank and expect to become a regular. read more

I give the Swank Salon 2 stars for its fancy look, relaxing atmosphere, and friendly staff. However, when it comes to hair cut, it is not worth the money. With the price of $45 haircut (include blow dry), I expected that they do modern cutting style (point cutting technique) that provide your hair a seamless look. I was shocked when the hair stylist started layer my hair with the old cutting technique that now only used in those cheap salons where the cutters don't have the current technique training/education. It was such a disappointment for me. My layers looked broken and chopping. I had to go to go to another salon to have it fixed. Though everyone in this salon is nice, I don't want to come back because I can get a nicer hair cut with the same price or a so so hair cut with half the price. read more

Bill took me from old, washed out mop to gorgeous with spot-on ash blonde highlights (mixed with dk. brown/black base-fabulous!) and a cut. I am from San Francisco, so I am used to skilled stylists - Bill is one of the best in the biz! His puppy photo show is adorable too! Good times at Swank - a nice, easy vibe from the moment you walk in. Terrific location, great decor, laid back, friendly staff. Sally is the best - of course, she is sicilian! Bill Barber, I LOVE U! I had not had a haircut in 16 years. My friend brought me to Bill Barber. In 45 minutes he changed my life for the better. He knew just what to do! This is such a great cut that I can almost make it look like he did. And that says a lot coming from someone who can't do anything with her hair and thus spend the last 16 years not doing anything with it. Swank Salon changed my life and the way I perceived the salon industry. Location: It's a beautiful establishment, located in a nice part of the business district of Phoenix. Parking has never been an issue. The Salon: Modern, well-kept. Clean. And, definitely a swanky decor. The Wait: NONE! Never in my life have I been to a salon where they are actually on schedule. All the stylists are respectful of your time and are able to see you on the dot or within a couple minutes of your appointment time. (No more 1-hour/2-hour wait! Can I get an Amen?! Lol) Appointments: Easy. You can just schedule online. No calling and hunting down anyone. You can book months in advance, so it's hassle-free. And, my stylist goes the extra mile and texts a friendly reminder the day before, which is nice in the event you get busy and you can't even remember what day it is. The Staff: Friendly and kind. They always greet customers the moment they walk in. They always have a good time with each other, but keep it professional. Services: They work with all hair types (white, black, etc) and cater to both men and women. They also have a nail salon, if you want to get it all in one spot. The Final Product: I can only speak from my experience with Bree, one of the stylists, but she ALWAYS does a good job. She only takes an hour to 90 minutes or 2 max and always makes my hair cute, from presses and perms. She works with both natural and permed hair and does a great job with both hair types from my personal experience. If you're looking for a place to get a touch-up or new doo, come here! I'm so glad I did! = ) read more
