I used to really like this place until recently. I got a no chip mani and normal pedi, the no chip manicure chipped within a few days. When I tried to get it fixed the door was locked even though it was open hours. When they opened the door the interaction was rushed. I was told they could not fix my chipped manicure, it hadn't even been two weeks yet, and was rushed out the door which was quickly locked. In all my times going there I had never such a poor quality no chip manicure until now; I discovered as it was chipping off it wasn't even a no chip!! I was charged for a no chip and given a fake one instead. My once go to stop is now a never go to. read more

Had an unfortunate pedicure experience at Digits. My nail tech didn't really speak at all, choosing instead to instruct me to move my feet by roughly tapping me any time she wanted me to move. The water was barely warm; I couldn't control the massage chair, so it went off after about 10 minutes; the foot and leg massage was about 2 minutes of her banging the sides of my legs with her fists and then swiping lotion on, followed by immediately putting my shoes on, which was gross. The general vibe was also weird, with the TVs on low enough volume that you couldn't hear them and no background music. I definitely don't recommend and won't be going back. read more

Terrible customer service! First, we had to wait for someone to arrive from another location which wasn't a problem. However, we were told that the other lady would do acrylics. When she finally arrived, not only was she rude, but she was beyond disrespectful. Not only did she tell us to go to another location for acrylics, she repeatedly made racial remarks about having them in the first place. As we were getting ready to leave, she came over to "fix the rugs" asking us to move from place to another which was extremely disrespectful. When we asked her for her name, the receptionist told us her name was "Sarah". As we were walking out the door, the lady said "see you no more" twice. I have never experienced such terrible customer service, nor have I ever been disrespected as I was from this particular individual. I cannot say much about the other employees as they were doing their job and provided okay customer service. I would not recommend this location at all. read more

Horrible waste of money! My no chip chipped in 2 days in the center of my nail! Not even on the edge. They are all bubbled and the polish is super loose. The technician didn't cut my cuticles and my pedicure was aggressive and she cut me! Also my polish job was all of my toes as if I did them. So horrible! Wait in the Pinkys line! read more

Digits Nail Spa - This happened on Wednesday morning. I had them done Monday evening. - Nail Salons Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Your experience at Digits Nail Salon depends on whether or not you have realistic expectations. It's in their name; they're a salon, not a spa. There are no frills and you will not be pampered; however, they give a good mani/pedi, including a shortmassage of feet/legs, hands/arms, and shoulders while your paint dries. Speaking of paint, they have a large selection of colors. They don't offer many packages, but what they lack in options they make up for in efficiency, price, and comfort. The pedicure chairs are comfortable enought but they neither adjust nor massage. They have TVs and usually show HGTV, Food Network; however, on occasion Ihav had to ask if they minded switching off Law & Order: SVU. That does not make for a relaxing mani/pedi! read more

I removed the entirety of my review due to "special circumstances", but if you want to know what it said...message me. I'm still keeping my 1 star stance. read more

I went to Digits for a polish change and to have my nails shaped (no color/polish at all). They charged me TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS, $15 for the polish change (even though I had removed the previous polish myself) and $10 to file my nails. The employee rushed through and was not very friendly. There are many nail salons in the area, don't waste your time with this one. read more

Got a mani here a week ago, and it's still in perfect shape!!! Whatever they use, really stays on, I love it. The salon was very clean and comfortable, I went in during the week so it was slow, so I did not feel rushed. They do give you a little shoulder rub while your nails are drying - nice bonus. read more

I have been a long time supporter of the traditional salon/spa experience. I prefer the one stop shop: nails, wax, facial, etc. However, due to the economy, I felt I should cut some corners. I had tried other nail salons, similar to Digits in the past and my experiences had always been average. For about a year now I have been seeing Lin at Digits I can't say enough good thing about her mani/pedis. The manicure sometimes lasts more than a week and the pedicures have lasted up to a month (in the Summer!). I have two small children and use my hands often at work, so this is nothing short of a miracle! This place sets the record for me. But, that isn't really what prompted me to write this review. Last week I was getting my nails done and a girl was in for a manicure the day before her wedding. She mentioned she was getting married the next day and that she seldom gets her nails done, but got a pedicure the night before at a different salon and her toenail had already chipped. The owner insisted on fixing her toes for free, even though she had the pedicure at a different salon. This made me certain I was bringing my business to the right place. read more

Takes a very long time for any service. Overpriced. They put 3 coats on my nails :( def do not recommend.

Of all the places on Southport to get my nails done, I like this one the best! This is by far the cleanest nail salon I have ever been in. I am very hard on my nails, washing endless amounts of dishes and may mani's still last a good 10 days. They take their time and make sure they are exactly how I want them. Pretty sure they have every.single.color.of.essie that is available. I love this place and I am very picky when it comes to my nails, I wont go anywhere else :) read more

This review is for Montrose. I have had 2 mani-pedis there and had great experiences both times. Mani and pedi lasted forever. Clean facility. Not too crowded. read more

Do not get your eyebrows done here. This is my usual spot for my nails, and I decided to try the brows. The person who did my brows obviously had no idea what she was doing. She almost completely removed my brows, and what is left is shaped terribly and uneven. I will never go back for any service-very irresponsible work by an over-zealous and careless employee. read more

I love this place. I've never had to wait, the manicurists are really nice, and my nails always look great.

After reading other peoples reviews about this nail salon I felt compelled to write. My first visit I had a mani\pedi. My second visit I had my legs waxed, and again a mani\pedi. They waxed my legs first and then did the rest. Well... to make a long story short, I ended up at the doctor with an infection that I had to take antibiotics for. I had disgusting infected bumps all over my legs. I explained to the doctor what I had done previously and he said that they probably did not clean the pedicare sinks properly. I will never go back. read more

Digits is fantastic! It is clean and all of the employees are attentive and kind. I try other places every-so-often, and I find myself always wishing I had gone to Digits. I highly recommend this place! read more

So I went here yesterday for a mani/pedi "special" and it was such a rip off! They obviously didn't have enough staff so my pedicure lasted all of like ten minutes and the lady who did it was in such a hurry that when I got home and really looked, I had nail polish all over the skin around my nails. I will never go back to this place and my friends who came with me were just as disappointed in the service. Dont waste your money here!! read more

I love this place, the prices are cheaper than other places around the neighborhood, the place is very clean and the staff is always friendly and know the color I'm looking for. I had my mani/pedi and it looks great for 2 weeks. Am I gonna go back to this salon? DEFINITELY read more

I go to get my tips done for my nils and it works , meaning they do a good job ,no fuss. They do the job. A smile would be nice from the staff but oh well, i'll get over it. Location is a bit tricky for parking especially with the new construction of the new jewel right there. Prices are standard and its really easy to get an appointment. read more

Always been a fan of Digits. Very reasonably priced, never had to wait, and they do a good job on the nails. My pedicures can last up to two months and was surprised that my last manicure stayed nice looking for about 2 1/2 weeks. They haven't been using the massage chairs lately, which would be nice to have, but I haven't found many places you can get your nails done for the price and not be freaked out by dirtiness or lack of quality. I don't use a particular technician, and they have always been good. read more

Do NOT go to this place. I have been a few times, and each time it is gets worse and worse. I will NEVER return to this place. I get no chip, and they charge extra for them to be put back on and taken off, which is ridiculous. Additionally, my friend came with me this past time, they gave her a spa pedicure which she did not ask for and then charged her for it. When she said I only wanted a polish change, the lady said she knew but they did more so she had to pay. We fought with her about this and she said she didn't care and that we had already paid. The customer service is TERRIBLE, the manicures are average at best, and the technicians vary from bad to awful. DO NOT GO HERE. Pinky nail is not far and is much better. read more

I've been going to Digits since it's inception on Southport. With the opening of the newest location, I made the move with my most favorite and trusted nail technician. I love the owner of both spas. My experiences are always positive! I highly recommend this spa to everyone. read more

Favorite nail place I have ever been to. I feel like I am part of their family. I have been going here for about 3 years now and have not gotten my nails done anywhere else in that time. People always ask where I got my nails done and think they look great. Yen is the best, but, everyone at Digits is very friendly and good at what they do. Very clean, lots of color choices, good price point. Love this place so much! read more

if your looking for a great mani-pedi that looks great & lasts- This is your place! I travel from Andersonville because I have not found a place closer that does such a through and professional job. The pricing is terrific, and my cuticles look terrific. I work with my hands all day and my no chip lasts for 2+ weeks. The 2nd time I went they remembered me, not a lot of phoney fawning over and the ladies are not overly chatty which I like. After all I'm there for the quality service they provide not to be their best friends. The owner can seem abrupt to some, but it's just her manner. She is always welcoming and warm when I go in and she oversees the ladies to make sure they are doing the job well. The Salon is always clean and the instruments are sterilized. The selection of colors is almost overwhelming. I always call ahead bu,t on short notice and they always fit me in no problems, read more

I've been coming here for quite some time and I'm always mad at myself for going back....strictly because it's convenient. The only good thing about the place is it's very clean and the price is less than the others in the neighborhood....BUT - the manager is the rudest person ever, think of her as a manicure Hitler...no joke, I'm surprised she has any business the way she treats her customers & yells at them. Also, one of the girls walks around like she's part of the Gestapo and must think it's a good thing to move at lightening speed while giving a pedicure, she dug so deeply into my toes...after about a month of pain I went to see my doctor because she had bruised my skin under the nails. Crazy! read more

I have gone to many nails spa, but I don't like it. It was because of many reasons such as their services, prices, and hygiene. Until one day, I came to this nail shop. All I can say was " WOW." They had the best service ever. But the most thing that I like about this shop was they knew how to make their customers happy by offering message. Also all their spa and dry chairs were all new and clean. I felt very comfortable and relaxed in this shop. It made me feel happy when I leave and I knew this was the nail shop that I have been looking for. read more

Terrible. No personality of the techs. Cut my toes. 3 of them. Cut my nails too short. Nails not cut evenly or well sculpted. Never again! Paying by cc is more than paying cash. Tacky! Get with it! read more

I live in the Southport neighborhood but my 'to go'nail place is Mini Nails on Broadway. I got attracted to their special $32 deal and went in their yestserday for Mani/pedi. Sadly, my experience with the owner was just HORRIBLE. The girl who did my nail was very sweeet, but the owner was very bitter. The owner yelled at me for asking if she would recommend any new fall colors. She yelled at me saying, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT COLOR YOU WANT'"!!! She doesn't seem to have any concept of how to treat a customer. Later, I told her I was disappointed with her attitude and I canged my mind to do my manicure. She yelled again saying she didn't care. Instead of apologizising, she directed me to go to other salons in the nieghborhood and she slammed the door on me. That's it.! I told her I'm going to write a review on Yelp...and her answer was...I DON'T CARE!!! Seriously, how can you give business to a person like this. No wonder that place is always empty...and I won't be surprise if she goes out of business soon. Good Luck staying in business! read more

I used to go here all the time and almost every time I've seen the woman who appears to be either the owner or manager has turned away at least one person by saying "There's going to be a long wait for you" and then when they ask how long she just responds "long time" without giving a clear answer of whether they should wait or come back or not. I've seen more than one customer stand there looking confused and finally walk out after basically being ignored. I stopped going myself when she told me to come at a specific time, but when I arrived she told me they still couldn't take me. In my opinion they're lazy and a little too money-hungry for my taste as they are reluctant to simply say "I'm sorry we're booked right now." Also, both regular and no-chip manicures do not last long. Regulars will chip within 2 days after getting them and no-chips do not last the full 2 wks. There are at least three other nail shops on the same street with better service. read more

I have been going to Digits for about a year, as I live right in the neighborhood. Their service, while started out great, has severely declined in the past few months. My last appointment was by far the worst. Whoever hired the girl that works behind the front desk, needs to reevaluate the basics of customer service. Not only was she unbearably rude from the time we walked in the door, she sat behind the desk complaining about everything for the remainder of the hour we were there. My nail tech was clearly in a hurry and rushed through everything; both the manicure and pedicure. The result was what you would expect when someone doesn't take the time to do a good job. My nails were chipping hours after leaving and I had nail polish smeared all around the nails that she didn't take the time to fix. Bottom line, don't go to Digits unless you are okay with paying a ridiculous price for a less than mediocre job. There is a nail salon right across the street that I would recommend before suggesting anyone waste their time at Digits. read more
