My experience with Digital Living was great! I have a Sonos system that was installed by Granko in 2016 and it has never worked correctly. The speakers in the yard only played certain frequencies of sound and the lyrics never came through. I tried contacting Granko several times via phone and email, but they would not get back in touch with me. Digital Living was able to fix the sound issues and several other problems. They were very professional. I recommend them to anyone who wants to install a Sonos system or needs one fixed. read more

Derich and his team did complete wiring for our vacation rental. Since we are remote, he came up with awesome solutions so that our entire house can run from my cell phone 80 miles away. When a crazy guest went nuts because she couldn't control the TV, he calmly walked her through it. System is flawless. I especially appreciate that Derich suggested DOWNGRADES so that I didn't buy what I didn't need. He's also always accessible. I can't imagine working with anyone else. read more

I DO NOT recommend this company. They talked a good game, but here's what went wrong: #1. I tried to order a Samsung 50" TV, through them, so that if anything went wrong, there would be only one person to call (even though I knew it would be more expensive ordering through them, rather than buying it on Amazon or through Best Buy). I prepaid for the TV, but the day before the installation they told me they couldn't get that model. If I'd ordered it myself, I could have gotten it on time, at a lower cost and made sure it was what I wanted. #2. They changed the appointment time twice after I'd made time on my schedule to be home for each of the cancelled appointments. #3. When they were finally ready to come out, they told me they had a 55" TV on the truck. That was too big, so I asked them to check and make sure it was the 50" TV (the substitute model since they didn't get the preferred TV on time). They never confirmed it, and I'm not sure what they actually had on the truck, because... #4. Although I sent them pictures of the location where the installation was to take place, when they finally showed up they told me that because there was an indentation in the wall (think of it as an indented shelf carved into the wall), that the house "wasn't up to code" and that they didn't have the right mount from which to hang the TV. Why didn't they tell me this when I sent the picture of the install area and we discussed the job? Then they started talking about having to build something out of wood to fill the space and they weren't sure they could do it and it might not get done on time (I had guests arriving later that day and wanted the job completed prior to their arrival). #5. So, I told them it I no longer believed they could do the job and that they should leave and send me a refund. I had to remind them that I pre-paid them (quickly) to order the TV, and hoped they would be as courteous to me as I was to them regarding an expedient refund. The check finally arrived about 10 days after I fired them, and after messaging them twice to check on it. #6. They never apologized or tried to make anything right. Bottom line, their service stinks. read more

Digital Living did our entire home audio system/speakers throughout the house, TV and internet installation when we moved to Sonoma. Derick, and his team, lead by Matt, did an amazing job with the installation, and were also a wonderful resource for recommending the right equipment/speakers along with boosters to make sure the internet worked throughout the house (not an easy feat on this mountain) and to make sure we knew how to use the system before they departed us. They are technical wizards, very professional and have great ideas regarding esthetics for speaker placement and better sound. They care a lot about building relationships with with their customers and have great customer service post installation for the occasional question/tweak over the last 2 years! Dereich is incredibly knowledgeable, professional and efficient. We had a large for us LED panel that needed to be mounted to the wall and the wires run. I just didn't have the time to do it. Dereich came in and man handled the situation and got it done better than I could ever have imagined and in a third of the time I would have spent monkeying around. Unbelievable! Upon returning from a week vacation we discovered our receiver and dvd player were not working, plus we were having issues with Directv. While the Directv guy was at the house I called Derich, and he promptly diagnosed our problem and walked me through the solution. Granted it was probably pretty simple for him, but we had no clue. After having had numerous ridiculous phone calls with the Geek Squad to even try to schedule an appointment, within 10 minutes our problem was solved on a phone call. Our job was not huge, and we had a hard time getting anyone to even visit to spec the job. I called Derich on a Sunday of a holiday weekend, expecting voice mail, and instead Derich answered the phone, spec'd the job to a T, and lined up the work for that Wednesday. He showed up on time, did the job perfectly and beautifully, and the costs associated were more than reasonable. Every part of this job was easy!
