menu for diggs pizza
Juli S.

Diggs Pizza is located at 4646 S. Cole Rd. in Boise at The Indian Lakes Shops, near the corner of S. Cole and W. Amity. Diggs Pizza aka "Boise's Little Hidden Gem" is a family owned business that has been making pizza for 20+ years. They make their own dough and sauce, and real mozzarella cheese. They use only fresh vegetables that they chop/dice/cut daily for their toppings, salads, and grinders. They have an extensive menu that includes signature pizzas, Keto bowls, Calzones, Grinders, Salads, Sides, and Desserts. They also have a new Sicilian pizza on the menu with Square cut slices. I visited Diggs Pizza for the first time on 8/23/23. I had other plans for dinner that night, but when I drove by it, I quickly pulled into the gas station next-door and turned around because this is a place I've been wanting to check out for several years. The inside of the store is a small L shape with four tables for indoor dining. Diggs offers free delivery for orders of $12 and up. The vibe was the pizza equivalent of Cheers! Friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I ordered a small (10") - The Standard - Pepperoni and Black Olives ($11.56) and a Large Garden Salad - Crisp Lettuce, Fresh Mushrooms, Onions, Black Olives, Green Peppers and Fresh Tomato with your choice of dressing ($5.25). They serve Hellmann's salad dressing. I really liked the pizza. It had the slightly yeasty odor of freshly made dough, and a nice chew. The housemade pizza sauce was savory and had good flavor. There was a good amount of toppings, and it was cheesy. The salad was very fresh and HUGE! I didn't care for the Hellmann's salad dressing, but I don't care for most premade salad dressings. Most people give Hellmann's salad dressings high ratings. The small pizza made three meals for me and reheated well in the oven. Although I visited during a busy time of day, my order was ready quickly. The service was excellent! Diggs has an extensive menu. Diggs uses fresh ingredients and real cheese. Diggs is one of the few local pizza businesses that makes their own dough and sauce, as well as hand tosses their pizzas. Diggs also provides good value for your money. Highly Recommended!!!

I've been seeing Diggs pop up on Yelp's delivery suggestions. I wondered where the heck this said pizza place was, and who knew it was only 5 minutes from my house! Possible the greatest discovery of the month, for more reasons that it's convenient location. I prefer to keep things simple when testing out new pizza joints. Call it an entrance exam. If a pizza joint can't produce a decent pepperoni pizza is it even really a pizza joint? So after examining Digg's very extensive and intriguing menu all I ordered was a large pepperoni ($16.44). Their prices are kind of random but very reasonable for the quality and size. Holy smokes it was delicious! They definitely don't go light on the pepperoni! My pizza was nearly completely covered. Also, there was so. much. CHEESE! I had to use two hands to eat because if I only used one everything would fall off and all I'd get was a slice of bread covered in marinara sauce. Such good pizza I can't believe I didn't know this gem of a place was only 3 miles from me! Now that Digg's has passed my entrance exam, I look forward to trying one of their more exotic pizza flavors.

I absolutely love this place! Whenever I am in Boise I make sure to either get pizza, steak fingers, or a delicious sandwich. Their food is made fast and fresh and always on point. I got the pizza sandwich and I added chicken which was delicious. One of the greatest things that they offer is a military discount!

We went to Diggs tonight and we got a large half Diggs pesto and half sausage and black olive. The pizza was very good and I really like the taste of their crust. Their sausage is really tasty and the sausage is a little spicy. We also got wings but they were not great. Overall, Diggs has good pizza at a good price. It's a tiny little place so I would recommend to get your food to go but if your in the area swing by and grab some food at Diggs.

Ranch sauce, chicken, bacon, jalapenos with feta. AMAZING!

If you haven't yet tried Diggs, you must! Great flavors with tons of toppings. They also have finger steaks at a really reasonable price. If your not in their immediate area it's worth the drive to southwest Boise to pick up or dine in. They have great flavor combinations that are very unique.

Breadsticks. Good and yummy and UNDER $3!

We ordered the large Sausage Roasted Garlic pizza. What a great pie, from the crust to the toppings. I can't think of a place I have been to for quite some time that was better. Yet I wanted to experience their take on Detroit pizza one last time before they lock the doors for good. Yesterday, I called to order a Detroiter pizza, my go-to pie since they opened, for takeout. The woman who answered the phone asked to put me on hold for a "short wait." Ten minutes later I was still on hold and hung up. Today, I decided to try again. I called at around the same time, 4:30 p.m., which normally has not been a busy time there before the dinner rush starts. This time, I was told to call back. What? So I went online and ordered there for pickup. I got an email back immediately, saying my order had been submitted but that it wasn't confirmed until I got a second email with my pickup time. More than an hour later, I'm still waiting for that second email. What a horrible operation they've become. Their pizza was excellent in the beginning and I didn't mind driving across town to a convenient location near the airport to pick up one of their pizzas. But as their quality slipped, I found myself going there less and less. Today's failure will be the last time I try before they close forever. All I have is the memories from better days.

Another 10 before they came back with drinks and took our order. The appetizer was a puffed up bread which was fun to eat. They brought olive oil and what tasted like vinegar to eat it with. We ate that and it was another 20 minutes before they came to the table and told us they prioritized the take out orders over ours, "But your pizzas are now in the oven." The table behind us who also ordered an appetizer and 2 pizzas, were served 10 minutes before we were served. Always willing to overlook some hiccups in service if the food is good... unfortunately the food was terrible. We ordered a Don Ho and the sauce was so bland it was gross. The center of the pizza was so soft we thought, at first, it was under cooked. After looking at the bottom of the pie we could see it was cooked but we also noticed that the sauce was so watery it pooled in the center and made everything soft and gross. The margarita pizza was so overcooked the cheese was melted into the pizza and the basil leaves were wilted and yet crispy at the same time. Below is a picture of what it SHOULD have looked like, and a picture of what we got. It was so bad we actually sent it back and they said, "Well that's how we always make it." We had high hopes but after this all around lacking experience, we won't be back.

The last time I ate here, I really enjoyed our meal so I knew I was in store for a good lunch. I arrived first. I hung out for a bit. Raylyn (sp) greeted me and asked me if I wanted anything to drink. I had a flavored water so I content for the moment. My friend finally showed up shortly after. We got started on the foccacia bread and olive oil/balsamic dip. The bread was good but it wasn't warm like the previous time. It was nicely seasoned and buttery on top. The olive oil/balsamic dip is so good with it! We breezed over the menu while we were enjoying the bread. Raylyn came and took our order. We ordered some fried mozzarella to share. For lunch I got a side of meatballs and my friend got the chicken parm on pasta with a side salad. The fried mozzarella was so good! The piece of mozzarella that was fried was so thick! I had a fourth of one of the cheesesticks. I didn't want to get too full when I still had meatballs coming. My meatballs were so good! It was generously covered in their marinara sauce. It was rich in tomato with a slight heat to it, so good! My friend's chicken parm pasta was a generous portion! I probably could have made 3 meals off of his plate. He enjoyed the chicken of course and had some of the pasta. We couldn't end lunch without some birthday dessert so my friend got some cannolis started. This is my first time trying a cannoli and woooooow! It was so good! The cream in the middle had a orange flavor to it with some chocolate chips. The exterior of the cannoli was crunchy and sweet. The ends were dipped in semi sweet chocolate and was so good! I probably could have polished 2 more but I was so full from lunch. Next time I'm going to just have the bread and cannolis. That dessert was perfection. Lunch was fabulous today. Our food and dessert were divine. Raylyn did a marvelous job taking care of us! She was kind, attentive and is great at customer service. I can't stop thinking of those cannolis and I look forward to coming back soon to have some more!
