Diggs Pizza aka "Boise's Little Hidden Gem" is a family owned business that has been making pizza for 20+ years. They make their own dough and sauce, and real mozzarella cheese. They use only fresh vegetables that they chop/dice/cut daily for their toppings, salads, and grinders. They have an extensive menu that includes signature pizzas, Keto bowls, Calzones, Grinders, Salads, Sides, and Desserts. They also have a new Sicilian pizza on the menu with Square cut slices. I visited Diggs Pizza for the first time on 8/23/23. I had other plans for dinner that night, but when I drove by it, I quickly pulled into the gas station next-door and turned around because this is a place I've been wanting to check out for several years. The inside of the store is a small L shape with four tables for indoor dining. Diggs offers free delivery for orders of $12 and up. The vibe was the pizza equivalent of Cheers! Friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I ordered a small (10") - The Standard - Pepperoni and Black Olives ($11.56) and a Large Garden Salad - Crisp Lettuce, Fresh Mushrooms, Onions, Black Olives, Green Peppers and Fresh Tomato with your choice of dressing ($5.25). They serve Hellmann's salad dressing. I really liked the pizza. It had the slightly yeasty odor of freshly made dough, and a nice chew. The housemade pizza sauce was savory and had good flavor. There was a good amount of toppings, and it was cheesy. The salad was very fresh and HUGE! I didn't care for the Hellmann's salad dressing, but I don't care for most premade salad dressings. Most people give Hellmann's salad dressings high ratings. The small pizza made three meals for me and reheated well in the oven. Although I visited during a busy time of day, my order was ready quickly. The service was excellent! Diggs has an extensive menu. Diggs uses fresh ingredients and real cheese. Diggs is one of the few local pizza businesses that makes their own dough and sauce, as well as hand tosses their pizzas. Diggs also provides good value for your money. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon upon a recommendation from a friend in the area for a sandwich to go ( I lived in the area 30 yrs ago when it was called Indian Lakes Pizzeria). My son met me there and when we entered there was a pretty loud discussion going on, so no greeting, we both ordered a turkey sandwich after looking over the options. No other customers and the phone didn't ring for the first five minutes, through the window to the kitchen I can see order after order placed on top of the oven to keep warm. After 15 minutes we both had finished our purchased drinks, (no offer of water while we waited) mind you there were three people working, at that point I asked loudly enough for them to hear on their side of the wall " what's taking so long " one guy leans out and asks what's wrong, I point out how long we've waited , the other orders processed with no one picking them up, he ducks back into the kitchen grabs two or three of the boxes I had pointed out and scoots them off to the back somewhere, then try's to explain that the sandwiches are " Handmade ", Gosh , I sure hope they are, I thought. Then he asks his cook have you got those sandwiches done? I can see he had just started, so order taken at 3:27pm on the receipt, time on the clock as we were handed two to go boxes was 3:52pm. The place is small and dimly lit with little ambiance, BUT- their saving grace was that the sandwich was flavorful with enough ingredients, not a fan of the flat bread but overall a tasty sandwich. read more

I've been seeing Diggs pop up on Yelp's delivery suggestions. I wondered where the heck this said pizza place was, and who knew it was only 5 minutes from my house! Possible the greatest discovery of the month, for more reasons that it's convenient location. I prefer to keep things simple when testing out new pizza joints. Call it an entrance exam. If a pizza joint can't produce a decent pepperoni pizza is it even really a pizza joint? So after examining Digg's very extensive and intriguing menu all I ordered was a large pepperoni ($16.44). Their prices are kind of random but very reasonable for the quality and size. Holy smokes it was delicious! They definitely don't go light on the pepperoni! My pizza was nearly completely covered. Also, there was so. much. CHEESE! I had to use two hands to eat because if I only used one everything would fall off and all I'd get was a slice of bread covered in marinara sauce. Such good pizza I can't believe I didn't know this gem of a place was only 3 miles from me! I may be bias because I grew up going to Diggs. I also worked there in high school when Kurt was the owner. I ordered the garlic twisties, breadsticks and a small chef salad. I'm not sure if they upgraded me to a large because it was a long wait time, but the salad was huge. Sooo good too. The twisties and stix were just how I remembered. Had 2 recommendations for here, so when I was working nearby, I ordered to take home for dinner. I have to preface with saying there are so many variances in pizza, it's about what YOU like. I ordered a medium Hawaiian $14.44, and a 6 piece mozzarella sticks $4.50. The description brought me to believe the mozzarella sticks were homemade/fresh made. I don't know if they are, but we did not care for them at all. They almost tasted like fish sticks, weird coating. Pizza was better, great amount of toppings, delicious Canadian bacon and pineapple. Maybe not enough sauce? Too much crust? I like mine to the edge. Not bad at all, just not the best I've had. Super friendly service and fair prices. Diggs Pizza (at South Cole & Amity) has been in the neighborhood for a number of years and they have always provided excellent customer service, excellent prices, excellent food. They have a number of sandwiches, pizzas and salads that are beyond compare. Their salads are big enough to provide a full meal for several people. They do have inside dining within their establishment, although it is small and limited. They do offer a delivery service which is handy. I've been a customer for years and encourage you to become a patron. They are hidden gem within our neighborhood and they have certainly earned our support. read more

Pizza here is worse than literally any other option in this state. Thick, sugary sweet, Pizza sauce one could only scrape out of a 5yr old lunchable. Toppings didn't even make it to the crust, and incredibly flavorless just behind the sauce you're still left scraping out of your mouth with a napkin. I'd give this place 1 stars instead of 2, but the people there are nice, and service was good. We went to Diggs tonight and we got a large half Diggs pesto and half sausage and black olive. The pizza was very good and I really like the taste of their crust. Their sausage is really tasty and the sausage is a little spicy. We also got wings but they were not great. Overall, Diggs has good pizza at a good price. I looked up pizza with the highest ratings in our area and Diggs looked delicious and it didn't disappoint. The person working the counter ended up moving two tables together and we all could fit comfortably. I ordered one extra large pizza (pics attached) and although I didn't taste the pizza due to dietary restrictions, my family loved it. My kids and nephew were telling me how they want to come here all the time, which made me feel happy because I like to make my mom and kids happy. The pizza was extremely cheesy and the toppings were fierce. I got a salad and it was very large that I shared with my whole crew. They have 2 liters for you to purchase and dine in customer get free bottles of water. Their ranch dressing was very good. They have other food, too. I took my son home finger steaks and he enjoyed them. There aren't any games, and is extremely small space, but the people working there took good attentive care of us and made the best of the space. We have ordered twice from Diggs since the new owers have taken over. Sadly, the service and quality has declined. Our first order was a few months ago. Salads. I picked them up at the restaurant and they felt as if they had been warmed. One of us became ill that night. I didn't eat much of mine, as it wasn't what it used to be. Most recent, we ordered 2 calzones and twistys for the kids to be delivered with an 45-60 minute window (thier estimate) 1 hour and 25 minutes later I was told we were still at least 30 to 40 minutes out. We live a little over a mile away. The explanation, "we dont have drivers, it just got busy" . Taking that as a hint our food had been sitting on a counter in a box waiting for someone to bring it to us, we cancelled. Unfortunately like most great mom and pop places, it came to an end.
