So this is a bear bar. Remember that. They had porn playing in the back, which to me was funny, but if you are not ready for that do not some and give them a bad review. The servers were cool and they offered good suggestions for food and drinks. Overall, I and my friend had a fun time and got to voyer Seattle during my short time there. I recommend it, especially after going two nights in a row.

Going to a grungy bear bar you'd think beer would be the only thing good on the drink menu. However their martinis are superb, excellent, leaps and bounds above anywhere else. Wherever I go in Seattle I order a dirty Martini, and Diesel serves them up. They're generous with the olives, perfect in their proportions, vigorous in their shaking. The bartender was superb and shook it till there was a thin film of ice at the top, noting this was his preferred method of enjoying the drink. Fantastic experience, great drinks. Fun people.

Diesel is turning out to be a nice surprise. Good luck with parking, however. Staff is nice. There's hardly any pretension here.

Friendly bartenders, good pours, and most importantly the other patrons make you feel welcome. It is a real Capitol Hill treasure.

A bear bar with solid goddamn pours, as all the others have said. Just like it says on the tin. What more could a man ask?

While I was simply checking to see whether I had misplaced it earlier, the bartender (Neil "Erin"} told me, "Calm down, relax and have fun." I was already calm, and the comment felt unnecessary, condescending and defamatory. People behind me heard it, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. When it came time to pay, I didn't immediately see the POS terminal and handed my card to the bartender. He (Neil "Erin") turned the screen toward me, showing tip options starting at 20%. I asked for my card back, but instead of returning it, Neil "Erin" pointed below the POS. My card was hidden behind Halloween decorations, so I couldn't see it. If Neil "Erin" expected me to insert my card myself, he should have handed it back to me instead of placing it out of sight. I had never met this bartender before, so the personal tone of his remarks felt out of place. I've worked in retail and hospitality, and I would never speak to a customer that way. The whole interaction left me feeling disrespected, and it overshadowed what should have been a simple visit for a drink.   I believe this was a continuation of Gaslighting, harassment and racism I have experienced in Seattle's Gay Community for over 20 years. Abuse by Proxy. I am a NAACP Life Member.
