Actually this is a very good store. It's pure H_ell getting in and out of this store's parking lot. Of course I didn't factor that issue in while writing this review. Others have written bad reviews on this Dick's, but I had only good experiences. A couple of days ago, I went into to buy a sports bra and topper. Because it had been a while since I'd bought or worn a sports bra, I knew I wanted to try them on. And, because I've had a frozen shoulder, I needed a zip-front bra. My first contact was with the young woman at the front desk. I asked whether they had zip-front bras. She immediately got on her communicator and asked for the info. Then, she pointed me in the right direction. After selecting a few bras and tops, I asked another lady for help with getting into the dressing room. She opened a room, and I was in. When I needed to get different sizes, I was quickly assisted. When I got home, I noticed that the two bras I got were different sizes; I had picked up the wrong one. Today, I walked in the store, saw a young man, and was able to ask him about their return process. I went back, got the right size, went to the front, and Bam! Done, and out the door. Don't Order ONLINE ... Terrible experience. We ordered weights with different plates, different dumbbells and a bit of equipment. They quickly took payment with no problem. Then they began to send separate emails on each individual item. "Your 40lb dumbbell is on the way" .. "Your other 40lb dumbbell is on the way", etc. Unfortunately they only had 1 of about half the dumbbells so they began to credit back $50.62 and mail us only 1 40lb dumbbell. This happened over and over and over again. The same thing happened with the weight plates we bought. When it came to the equipment we paid them to have assembled, I kid you not they have sent nearly 40 separate emails and text messages regarding this. We waited for delivery on the day it was due, and they email that they have rescheduled for 10 days from now. When I called to try and just cancel they said, it turns out the person is on the way ... Just terrible all the way around. When I went to Dicks to return some items even the staff there said, "Oh man our online service is bad - don't use that." read more

I had a issue with lady leaving security tag on my son's track shoes which he ended up having to wear with tag until I was able the next day to return to store. I received an email from manager named Randy C and he said he would mail me a 50.00 gift card that I NEVER got and now he will not respond to any of my emails. Donna, my wife visited Dick's Sporting Goods at this location today, after not finding a suitable set of golf clubs at Golf Galaxy. The DSG folks showed her a few sets that were beyond her golfing ability and budget. The DSG associate, after Fonna asked him if he had any cheaper starter sets for women, checked his computer. He told Donna that GG had four sets that were less expensive and yet suitable to her petite frame for women's golf clubs. Donna returned to GG and bought a nice set of Top Flite women's petite starter clubs for an acceptable price. She was very happy. read more

This store has a great selection and they are always pretty well stocked. That being said... They have some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. I've been in multiple times and each time the employees are super rude and not helpful in the slightest. Last time I was in, I wanted to try on something and asked the closest employee I could find to open a fitting room. She looked at me like I was the devil. I was walked over to the fitting room in total silence and she had a major attitude as if I was infringing upon her personal time. The first time I was in, I came in for a knee brace. As it was my first time purchasing one I had to ask someone for help. I asked the first employee I saw, who had been clearly trying to dodge me. When I asked him where to find them he basically just pointed across the store and turned his back to me and walked away. Not much to my surprise, I couldn't find it and had to ask another employee for help. Luckily this one actually walked me to it and helped me out. I just despise being treated as if I'm a burden. These employees truly need some training and at the very least just a little bit of human decency. read more

I went in to buy 1 item that was about $400. I went to the area and asked for help. Was told someone would be there to help me, but after 15 min I went to see why the guy stocking wasn't helping me and was told it was not his job and he walked off. As I left the store this very cheerful guy asked if I found what I needed I said yes to bad no one would help me. He smiled and said oh sorry to hear that..... We were looking to buy a new treadmill and a spin bike to get back in shape. We were greeted by the assistant store manager Darius and he walked us to the exercise area. He was very professional and knew his products and helped us make a wise choice on two machines. If he hadn't pointed out a weakness on the machine that we thought we wanted we would have been unhappy with our purchases. We couldnt ask for a better transaction from Bethany and Brandon reserving the products over the phone and greeting us when we arrived at the store. We felt 100% happy with Dick's and can't wait to start exercising again. read more

wish I could give this store no stars at all how I was treated it doesn't even deserve one star! Please do not shop at Dick's Sporting Goods on Woodruff Road in Greenville, SC. I was in this store this evening and was racially profiled by Mangers Lissette and Brandon. I am an African American woman who was in there shopping. I had multiple items in my cart that I planned on purchasing. Lissette asked me multiple times did I need any help with anything which at the time I thought she was being helpful. I even asked her for sizes in certain clothes that weren't on the floor. She informed me that everything that they had was out on the floor. I was on my way to the cash register and noticed I left my wallet in my car. I pushed my cart up front by the cash register and left it to go outside to get my wallet out the car. When I go outside a police officer stopped me and asked me to go back in the store. I'm confused at this point on what's going on. I step back in the store he asked me did I steal anything he said Lissette and Brandon called and made a report saying I was stealing. I had nothing in my hands not a bag or anything. I told him I was headed to my car to get my wallet. Lissette comes up to me and the officer and tells the officer I pushed the cart to the register. I said I know I planned on coming back in to buy it why would you call the police on me and say I'm stealing? She told me I was in the store to long and Brandon comes up next to her and said because we thought you were. I didn't know African American customers were on a time limit to make purchases. And then Brandon proceeded to ask me to purchase the items after they called the police on me for just shopping. The officer told me that they called and said I came in the store with a group of people which is a lie I came in the store by myself. I literally just got off work and came to the store to shop. Then when I asked for there names and contact information for Corporate they told me to leave out the store or they will have me trespassed from that location. I said you called the police on me lying saying I was with a group of people stealing now you want to call them back and have me trespassed from this store! This location isn't safe for African American people to shop the management team will lie on you and make false accusation against you for theft and call the police on you. Before this incident I loved shopping at DICK'S Sporting Goods this is incident was nothing but pure racism from Lissette and she told me nothing would get done to her. This sports store is spacious and offers lot of brands to choose from. They have good customer service but I felt they were short on staff. One employee was providing his service to number of customers. You have to select the shoes you like and the staff gets the shoes for you of your size. When we got at the counter I was looking if there are any deals but the staff at the counter gave $10 off the bill. I felt this experience was way better than other sports store I have been to. read more

This particular location is awful, with Management that is NOT responsive. After spending hundreds of dollars I tried to return a $34.00 item and didn't have my receipt so I was issued a clearance value of 40% less. The item was purchased 3 days prior and was NOT on sales or clearance in the store. I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR WITH THIS CHAIN. With Academy Sports and Cabalas a stones throw away. read more

Worst customer service anywhere. Took my son to buy soccer cleats. The woman in the shoe dept seemed to do everything she could to not sell us shoes. I ha to ask for her help four different times thoroughout the simple process of fitting him into his first pair of cleats. You'd think she'd have suggested I pick up the socks and shin guards next... Once I finally found that department they didn't have his size shin guards. Got the next size up then had to figure out that I needed to go back to the shoe dept for socks where again Jan was completely stand-offish and unhelpful. I watched her treat another customer with such utter contempt I almost said something to her. Then today I had to go back to exchange my sons cleats for the next size up. At the register (8 people in line and only 2 registers open so after waiting 10 minutes) the girl there tried to charge me again for the shoes I was exchanging. I reminded her that I was just buying baseball pants...not the shoes. She said I had to pay more for the shoes because the price had changed. I told her I used a coupon but it shouldn't matter...it's a simple exchange for size. She snapped "well I you used a coupon. THATS what I needed to know" I said "I gave you the receipt and all u need to know was there. And you shouldn't talk to customers like that. It was very rude." that's definitely the last time I'll go to dicks in Greenville. If I want to be treated poorly I will go back to middle school. On the plus side an older man working as a greeter at the door was so nice and helpful I wanted to hire him myself. read more
