WORST store I've ever been to! The management is trashy and extremely rude (Emmer, Jen, Matt H) not to mention their bratty employees! This store is a complete mess. Walking in felt like stepping into a place that has completely given up on basic standards. The shelves were disorganized, sizes were missing everywhere, and the overall store looked like nobody bothered to maintain it. Trying to get help was just as frustrating. Employees were either nowhere to be found or seemed totally uninterested in doing their job. When you finally get someone's attention, the help you get is minimal at best. It's honestly shocking how little effort seems to go into customer service here. The prices are also way too high for what you get. A lot of the products look average at best, yet they're priced like top-tier gear. For a store that's supposed to specialize in sports equipment, the experience feels lazy and poorly managed. There are far better places to shop where the store is organized, the staff actually help you, and the prices make sense. After this visit, I have zero reason to ever come back. read more

What a stupid sporting good store. No hunting clothes? No archery? Not much of a sporting good store if you ask me.

Usually I can figure out how to get more than 1 star however, not today. Signs with big sales no prices; no sales assistants to ask and the cashier is clueless. They have 8 lines and only 2 open and the cashier was indifferent to comments regarding the wait. In fact rather than look for an item we requested they suggested we visit another store. This retail store is aptly named. I seldom find what I'm looking for and - when I do - the service is so bad I can barely stand to stick around for the purchase. Went there today for 3 reasons: buy tennis shoes, buy a tennis ball hopper and try different tennis grips. (1) The shoe I wanted to try on, that was on display, wasn't available in my size (which is an average size) (2) the tennis rackets were poorly labeled with grip sizes - different placement for each brand, and some sizes were impossible to find. Of course there was no one on the floor to assist in either department. I did find a ball hopper, but left without buying it after waiting in line for 10 minutes while 3 (THREE!) employees conferred about a register problem. Guess that's why they weren't available on the floor. Seriously, this was a typical experience. Back to Amazon I go! read more

Rude unhelpful staff. Girl and guy employees too busy flirting to be bothered assisting my child with shoes on way to camp. Girl pointed in direction of shoes then said they had no sizes smaller than size 1 which was inaccurate. When I told her, she laughed. read more

Just spent 20 minutes waiting on someone in the Men's shoes and even went into the main isle and found no employees to assist me in finding a new set of shoes for tennis. Too bad, I found a pair that I would have bought, if I could have located my size. Dicks is usually a pretty good store with decent prices and helpful staff...just not today. read more

I was thrilling when Troy Industries offered their new carbine as a Dicks exclusive, since there is one close to me and they offered a screaming good price around Thanksgiving. I ordered two, one for me and one as a gift for my nephew, they took my money, then I was told the back order was taking longer than expected. I was disappointed when I learned the back order would not be in before Christmas, but I could live with that. I had all the details printed out and wrapped and mailed off to my nephew. Then 3 days before Christmas I get an email that they are no longer going to sell Troy Carbines and were refunding my money. Of course credit card refunds can take over a week to process. So here I am 3 days before Christmas, I have already mailed the info on my nephews gift to him, and now I am told it will not be coming and to top it all off the money will not be credited back to my card until after the holiday. I emailed Troy, and it turns out that this was not a supply problem, but that Dicks had sold a huge number of these at below cost at a loss leader and had decided to not honor those sales after finding an excuse to weasel out. So bottom line- Dicks took my money, promised to deliver, confirmed that promise, then after holding my money for a month refunded it without warning and left me hanging before Christmas unable to get the items and unable to find them anywhere else at a comparable price even after Christmas. If they had no intention of delivering, they should have never taken my money and held it a month. That is the last penny they will ever see from me, for sure. read more

I ordered an elliptical machine online. Dick's farmed the delivery out to a company that sent the machine in a van driven by the owner's girlfriend's brother. I was charged $250 to have the machine placed in my room of choice and assembled, but this joker was unable to even carry it to the house (instructions were to send two men, but he was alone). So he dropped the machine out of his van on to the ground, flipped it end over end, and left it sitting sideways in my garage. I called Dick's to complain and they offered me 10% off the purchase price. I don't think so. read more

I am really pleased with the selection at this store. And, when I bought a dart board here that had problems, they (at the local store) couldn't help me with a problem with the board, but their central office did. They replaced the board with another, given that it had a problem, and the original manufacturer was out of business. The selection of clothes here is really astounding. read more

I ordered a Christmas gift from Dick's online in November they shipped the wrong item I had to spend a half an hour on the phone and they said they would ship the correct item overnight and have it there by Christmas which was still a week and a half away today is the 23rd it's not arrived and now they tell me it won't arrive until the 27th very poor customer service and even though you order in November you can't get it there by Christmas and they keep leading you to believe it will so now it's too late to do anything else read more
