We have purchased a new home in Maggie Valley and Terry purchased a table and chairs that we no longer wanted. He gave me a fair price for the items and we both made out on the deal. I like to refurbish antiques and collectibles so the place really fits the bill for me. I have also rented a U haul from there and the service was excellent. My kind of place.

Framed pictures from 10-20.00 It needs to be cleaned out, painted, cleaned and sanitized and then remove the hundred dollar numbers from the pricing gun. When things don't move they are priced way too high. Maybe try a bag sale on the clothing and move it out, reduce the couches and furniture to 25.00 and get them out. The back supply room has cans of spray paint for 5.00, which is the price for brand new at the store. I think if you try to reduce and move out the merchandise and give the store a deep clean you will make more money in the long run.

It doesn't have the thrift feel very much at all. It has very nice clothing, shoes, and accessories. A back room with housewares and linens, books, games, seasonal, and small appliances. I fight down a panic and try to not feel numb. For me, thrift stores are an antidote. This thrift store has been rearranged. It is bigger now. More space to move. Clothing was hung by color or print. Most stuff is arranged in certain categories and labeled. Small, framed pictures were hard to get to. Scarfs were overflowing. You have to put in an effort in some areas still, but overall, the makeover of this shop is a great improvement. There is even a unisex bathroom now! However, the sink was not working. Not ideal, pandemic or no pandemic. No no if you have to go go. The dressing rooms were not open. Not sure why. Rampant theft of six-year-old Old Navy blouses, or just HCM trying not to entice people to share small spaces with abated breaths. The reason that I removed one star is because one of the cashiers is INCREASING THE PRICES AT HER DISCRETION. Her doing that is immoral and may even be unlawful. I let her get away with it with the book I was buying. The price had been reduced by half, but she added a quarter. However, just about twenty minutes ago, my daughter told me that the cashier did the same with her craft items. I know that HCM has to fix the sink, but I draw the line at scamming a kid. I feel good that by us shopping here, we are supporting people in times of crises. But I don't have to support a con. I will return when I can clean my hands and HCM cleans their souls.
