I have shopped a few times in this store with good results Today, I decided to take some items to consign, only to find out they do NOT carry children's clothes. I have shopped here a few times and found some decent items. Unfortunately I have found some of the employees to be quite rude. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt as everyone has bad days but it seems to be a bit of a trend and I'd rather take my business elsewhere where the shopping experience is more pleasant. read more

I came here to consign some of my things months ago and the staff made me feel so unwelcome! I had never consigned before, but heard nice things about the shop from a friend. I had some very nice, high quality items that I no longer had use for- and a few things I was gifted yet never wore (nice brand names with tags on.) They very hastily looked over my things and made a few snide remarks about my items. One woman working asked where I got these things in an accusatory tone. I'm not sure what she was implying but it felt odd. Maybe my funky colored hair and ripped jeans threw them off? It is Asheville though.... I figured vintage Dooney and Bourke and tags on Lululemon would be right up their alley. They only accepted a few of my items, and they charged me to consign with them which surprised me. I intended to look around the store but after I made my account they essentially pushed me out the door with their attitude. It was all very weird and not welcoming. I almost went back the next day to bring my items home, which in hindsight I should have- a couple months later I was in the area and had made a whopping $16 or so and the rest of my items had been donated- which I was aware might happen.What a bummer of an experience. read more

I have been selling my family's used clothes in this store for years including some housewares, shoes, jewelry and books; however a few years ago they started a second location adjacent to the original adding furniture to their products. They are picky and only take good quality consignment items which I find they are usually spot on. They price items well. They are extremely friendly and helpful. If you consider consignment with them take clothes in on hangers. read more

Never, ever again ! I went into this store visiting from Nashville. I was greeted with a smile and thought how nice. I noticed there was a board showing different colored discounts. Orange 50 percent off! I selected two items I though had orange tags . She rang me up and as soon as she gave me the change I realized she must have forgotten my discount. When I pointed this out she immediately said the tags were red. I said I was sorry but thought they were orange. The brown haired heavy woman who had been nice suddenly turned very sour and pointed out the sign behind her that said No Refunds I asked about an exchange and then showed the No Exchange sign! I had never left the register and the lady was so rude. I hope no one else falls prey to this horrible place. I wish they would reconsider their policy and fire the heavy brunette working the register. read more

I have been going to Etc Consignment for just a few months, there store is great its so nicely set up and easy to find merchandise, the staff are very friendly and helpful in every way, I take a lot of my own merchandise to consign and I have done very well, I have also found a lot of treasures for myself in the store. I have been consigning with Etc for about 5 years now. I have them sell my items, and I buy from them. They are always friendly and efficient. They only take items that they think they can sell, so they don't "tie up" my items that won't sell and they don't fill their store with junk from others either. I take my consignment to them first and then sell the less marketable clothes and such at yard sales. Take clothes in good condition and washed on hangers, and take household items in totes or good boxes. The store usually is busy with many shoppers because people have come to know that they can find good quality at a great price at Etc. They're super! read more
