The salesperson said she would loosen the shoe laces. I take partial responsibility for questioning that solution vs trying another shoe. Long story short, within 1 week of wearing the shoes I was in so much pain and noticed a bruise on the inside of my foot where the pain was located. I went back to my old shoes and made an appt with my podiatrist. I was diagnosed with posterior tibia tendonititis, put on PT for 1 month and have to wear a boot at night. As a courtesy I called the owner before writing this review and basically he said I should have called them for a refit and refund for the shoes . I did not do this because the refund policy stated they would not refund worn shoes and to be honest I did not feel comfortable with the negative employee interaction, thats where the bad vibes come in. Go somewhere else.

I called up and spoke with Larry and he looked up the shoe in the computer and then held on the phone with me to go look on the shelf to make sure they had it and it was the right size and color. I was coming from out of town to pick them up so he even took them to the front desk and put my name on it so there would be no problems when I got there. I called back this morning just to be sure since I have had a time finding these, and I spoke with Sarah and she assured me the tennis shoes were there and waiting. At no time, neither Larry or Sarah was ever short, rude or acted like it was a bother. They both were very pleasant and very nice to work with. Grub-mate has days when walking is tough, and doubling the walk-to distance can be a real issue. Still, I insisted on Ace, rather than driving to their competitor, because of the convenience factor (big box stores often require a hike!). Too bad the electrical DIY items were outta stock, making my stop both aggravating and pointless. Note to Ace: Handicap Parking for the HANDICAPPED, not hot dog stands (it's the Law). As far as the inventory issues go, it's a 'pass': Everyone has these issues, now that our world is awakened from the COVID Slumber.
